Looping is making friend with his stalker. This morning I woke up to find them play fighting: one on the table the other on a chair. Later I caught the young cat in my room, he was trying to sneak under my bed where Looping was. It's funny, like a teen and his kid brother 1 5
Popular Post clochette Posted July 11, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 11, 2022 I made a great deal at the super market. I've found apricots for just 2€/kg (regular price us at least 5€/kg). They're bagged by the supermarket in bags of 500-600g because they're too ripped or damaged. In the 4 bags I bought 14 are just perfect to be eaten today and the rest was just really ripped or butter soft but not damaged at all. I made a pie and those not eaten today or by mid day tomorrow will be make into jam. Little things like that make for a happy Clo 2 5

I made one of Max's favorite meals: chicken Waldorf salad. He also enjoyed visiting Aunt Deirdre (my sister-in-law) and her two boys. Other than that, nothing really new to report. 3 2

I swear every niece and nephew in my family has the most bizarrely picky tastes it’s ridiculous. A bunch of us got together at my mom’s for dinner last night, and my 10-year-old nephew started acting like he suddenly doesn’t like pasta salad. We’ve been eating this in my family since I was a kid, all of us loved it growing up. The kid’s own mother has made it multiple times on her own. But suddenly a salad that contains kidney beans is unpalatable. Luckily we told him to shut up and eat, and he did 1 5

My family has a recipe for "Grandma's Chili" (not my grandma, but it was invented by someone's grandma, anyway). It's bacon, onions, ground beef, kidney beans, and a can (maybe two cans?) of tomato soup. Possibly some spices. It's served with egg noodles. If I eat it in just the wrong way, the two starches together make me lose my appetite. Edited July 12, 2022 by Page Scrawler 2 3

Like, my youngest nephew once told all of us he didn't like chocolate; when my BIL heard that he said, "but he's the biggest chocoholic around!" 1 6
