Funny thing is I know the lady, kinda. She the mom of the couple that rented the house before mom and dad. 25 years ago we lived in a smaller house at the end of the street, when this family moved out we rented their house and a few years later bought it. Mom and this old lady's daughter were acquaintance/friends cause they both have daughters of the same age and name and then were pregnant at the same time.

My mom and I were hit by our next door neighbor's relative once.  We were in the left hand turning lane at a stop, waiting for the light to turn green.  The little snot turned left onto the street we were on, but was going too fast in his sports car and spun out into our car. Thankfully no one was hurt then either.  I never liked him though.  He was the cousin of the neighbor's kids and we used to hang out when we were younger.  He ratted me and my brother out to my parents about something once, so he wasn't my favorite person.  lol

I'll go to to my insurance company first thing in the morning, they'll do the paperwork and direct me to a repair garage they use, from there I'll get a call with a date and place to drop my car, an expert will look at it and then the repairs will happen. It shouldn't take too long a week at most. I hope so. It's a very very common car.

But, but ... I thought it was a magical sort of ... *sigh*

During the season I write "kilt tales" of some of the kiltings that take place. Unfortunately, when the original COTT forum was archived so were my past stories.

Yes, true. We were both lucky. Though it'll probably take me a couple of days to see it's nothing and shake the shock off. Guess all the tension of the last few weeks dont help either.
