I took her out for brekkie. She's making me a little crazy. You would think Christmas was only a week away. Yesterday we had to get out the holiday plates and cups, today it was holiday linens. What's wrong with taking time to rest quietly and letting her body get well? Seriously, she has stated a couple of times that prepping and serving Thanksgiving wore her down. She wants to start baking cookies this week which is fine. That's what we usually do but her knees and wrist are aching today. That tells me her body is tired and needs rest. Odd as it sounds I'm glad for the migraine I'm currently coping with. Means I need some downtime so she isn't going to ask me to fetch things from the attic and she can't do it herself since the door to the attic is just across the landing from my bedroom door. I don't want to be cross with her but it seems that's the only way to get her to stop. I know how you feel... there were times I had to put my foot down with Mom. We become the parents... always worrying for them.... 3 4
