Warmer now, but it is dull, and there is still a breeze... kind of. The high temp today reached 89/32° with a heat index of 98/37°. Now the storms are beginning to arrive. Hasn't effected the temp yet but tomorrow's high is forecast to be 78/25°. Quite a change. 6

My stepdad's brother suffered from night cramps in his legs. He found drinking a small glass of tonic water helped. Something about the quinine in the water. Also, as others have noted stay hydrated. Perhaps a small glass of Gatorade or other sports drink on particularly hot days if you've sweating alot to replace electrolytes but don't do as my father did. He stopped drinking water and replaced it with sports drinks thinking if some was okay more would be better. I scolded him. He was taking in far too many electrolytes and making his kidneys work overtime without giving them enough water to do the job. 2 5

If I don't, I get terrible cramps. Magnesium supplements can help too. I've gotten really bad leg cramps from not drinking enough too. And they tend to happen at night after I've done a lot of walking. So I totally sympathize. 7

Have you talked with the quack doctor about possible exercises? Maybe the gym? Indeed, I trust you have spoken to him about the night cramps? 6
