Popular Post TetRefine Posted April 26, 2019 Popular Post Posted April 26, 2019 (edited) I thought it would be fun to share stories of how we met our significant others. I met my boyfriend at (of all places) a circuit party. He was my friend's friend's ex's friend. I met his friend (the ex) first, and thought he was really sexy. Then my boyfriend-to-be came back from the bathroom and we got introduced, and I was floored by how incredibly sexy he was, forgetting all about the first guy, lol. We parted ways for a bit as the party got started, but a little while later he migrated back towards our group. He was shirtless and wearing only booty shorts and high-tops (the usual dress for a circuit, haha). We danced opposite each other in a group for a while, eyeing each other the whole time. Eventually he came right across to me and started grinding on me. I was instantly infatuated and we danced together for the next five hours until 6 in the morning. We traded numbers, and ended up visiting each other in New York or Philly every couple weekends. Finally after months of being friends with benefits and "circuit boyfriends", I asked him out one night as we were walking through Times Square subway station. He practically jumped into my arms and gave me a huge kiss right in the middle of the busiest station in all of New York. We met almost a year ago now, and have been officially dating for 6 months. Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted April 26, 2019 Popular Post Posted April 26, 2019 i met Michael when we both volunteered at a soup kitchen. He annoyed me no end. Then when i found out He was a cop, i told him to get lost. He didn't. Eventually i agreed to coffee, then a baseball game. There have been a lot of changes and ups and downs. But i still cant wait to get home each night to see Him. We've been married nearly 10 years. 2 10 1

Popular Post Caz Pedroso Posted April 26, 2019 Popular Post Posted April 26, 2019 I met Mark when my ex talked me into meeting him after work. Mark was the waiter at the cafe we went to with my best friend and her then boyfriend. Mark knew my ex and was invited to join our group when his shift ended. My best friend went home with her man, I took Mark home with me and my ex was left to find his own way home. Mark and I have been together nineteen years this October and married sixteen years this September. I can't imagine my life without him. A great topic to see @TetRefine 5 4 3
Popular Post mollyhousemouse Posted April 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted April 27, 2019 i met Phil when we were both about to start our senior year in high school. we worked in different departments at an amusement park, a co-worker set us up, and it didn't go well. we ended up dating all that summer, but i was going away for my first year of college, and didn't want "a boy back home" so i ended it. fast forward 2 years, and i ran into another guy who also worked at that place, asked if he knew Phil. he did, so i said "tell Him i say hi!" that was in January, He didn't call until March. we dated all that summer, until He had to leave for basic training. by this time, i knew He was the one, so i asked Him to marry me when i graduated college. we were married in August of 1987 3 6 1
Popular Post Westie Posted April 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted April 27, 2019 We met right here on GA. Back then it was a smaller community here, and we were both online here almost every day. These days I don't get to visit more than every couple of months or so. We did a "long distance" thing that meant visiting each other in our respective countries every 6-8 weeks, but that was incredibly hard. Not only was it difficult in terms of distance and time, but also it was incredibly expensive to buy flights and hotels etc. I got a job in London in 2012 (in time to see the olympics!!) and we moved here. Things were hard at first because Paya had come to London just as the worst of the job market hit post recession. It took a long time to settle into our lives here and really start to build a future. We came through all that though, and we've built a fun life for ourselves. We travel a lot (london is a great base for that) and we both have awesome work opportunities. Finally after 8 years together (at the time) we got married last year. We are about to celebrate 9 years together. 1 10
Thorn Wilde Posted May 11, 2019 Posted May 11, 2019 (edited) Paul and I met online over ten years ago, on OK Cupid of all places, though neither of us was really there looking for a date. I was there for the quizzes, lol. We chatted a lot and became great friends. I started seeing my ex-boyfriend, Magpie (some may remember him...) a few months after that. When I was at uni in England, Paul and I met up for a beer at one point. And we kept talking online. Some time in early 2016, a few months after Magpie and I broke up, our online interactions took a slightly steamier turn. After a couple of months we figured that we should meet up again and get it out of our systems, as it were. We did not get it out of our systems. Now he's moved here to Norway and we're living together. Edited May 11, 2019 by Thorn Wilde 2 2
