astone2292 Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 What TV series are y'all currently addicted to? I just blew through eight seasons of Letterkenny, and it's...it's just perfect, let me tell ya that right now. Husband just tackled Designated Survivor, and that looked like a great time! 2
Zombie Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 quiz shows always liked ‘em Mastermind’s one of the best - 4 contestants tested on their specialist subject sitting in a spotlight against the clock. Then they’re tested on general knowledge. After many qualifying rounds, quarter rounds etc of this torture their prize? A glass bowl 2 1
TetRefine Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 I'm currently watching Tyrant. The first season was really good, but the second season was kinda 'meh'. Hopefully Season 3 goes back to the style that made Season 1 great. My guilty pleasures are Below Deck and 90 Day Fiance. My boyfriend and I will binge watch those shows for hours. 1
blake_logan Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 I went through the last series of Letterkenny in one sitting. In the middle of the final season of Vikings now. Most recent season of Fargo is next on the queue.
Site Administrator Myr Posted January 18, 2021 Site Administrator Posted January 18, 2021 I quite enjoyed Alex Rider season 1. Longest I've sat still watching something in quite some time. 1
just4hugs Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 Several of us went together to get HBO Max just to see WW84 but I've been using it to watch DC's Titans. I'm also really into Great British Bake Off and it has absolutely everything nothing to do with the fact that each season has at least one hot guy on it. Seriously though as someone that didn't learn to cook growing up and eats a majority of his meals through campus dining I sure have a lot of opinions about what they're making. 2
K.C. Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 I've been watching Lucifer. Tom Ellis as the Devil can take me to Hell anytime! 😈 1 1 1

The main actor would be cute if he didn't squint and have a cigarette in his mouth all the time though. -- My Television addictions are: Bridgerton, although I binged it pretty fast and yeah, I know it is very oddly paced and not socially or historically accurate to the times what so ever. (Which I don't really care about accuracy if it is entertaining and not otherworldly different) I don't know how it differs from the books. I binge watched Elite on Netflix as well, a very teenage-soapy series. Tiny Pretty Things also on Netflix. (Although, I think if it doesn't improve a lot, I'll be done with it after one season). Outlander.

I watched the first season and instantly thought, "Oh...they're like us Kentuckians...but they're Canadian." Cirgarettes, beer, whiskey, and brawls. Wayne is super handsome, and I normally don't find guys like him handsome, but his words of wisdom are so attractive. "More hands make less work." "Don't (mess) with tradition." "Bad gas travels fast in a small town." "Buy pants that fit, and you won't need a belt." I'm more of a Squirrely Dan fan! He's humble, gentle, but not afraid to stand up for his friends. And that's what I appreciates about him.

I find that every episode of Letterkenny is good for at least two belly laughs. 12 hours ago, Krista said: Outlander. I enjoyed Outlander until the story moved to North Carolina and the writers started taking too many liberties with the geography. Actually, they probably did it all along, but I didn't notice until it got close to home. I still watch it, but mostly to pick the flaws...like how Frasier's Ridge is covered with Spanish Moss, a plant which only grows in subtropical areas along the coast at least 300 miles from the purported location in the Blue Ridge mountains 😬 or how they could travel by horse drawn coach over dirt roads from Wilmington to Governor Tryon's Palace in New Bern as a day trip for a party when today the the journey takes at least 2 hours driving on interstate highways with 70 mph speed limits. 1
C. Henderson Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 I just finished "I Know This Much Is True" on HBO. It's based on a great book by Wally Lamb, and Mark Ruffalo's acting is superb. But quick warning for anyone interested in seeing it: it is extremely depressing.
KN Stories Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 I've been binging on the UK Taskmasters. I just love the British humour so much.

astone2292 Posted February 24, 2021 Author Posted February 24, 2021 I just discovered Superstore, and as someone who has worked in retail for a decade, I am floored that I haven't watched this yet! New employee is told to discount all electronics 25% off. Marks everything down to $0.25, including TVs. Other employee makes an intercom page, "GO! GO! GO! Get it all while you can!" Supervisor fights a customer in the parking lot. The manager is having biblical conversations with the other new employee during utter pandemonium. I have found my new binge... 1
Site Administrator Myr Posted February 24, 2021 Site Administrator Posted February 24, 2021 Ancient Aliens is a guilty pleasure. And Alien Hair Guy is a fun meme. For the record, I'm agnostic. They pose some really interesting questions, but 'ancient aliens' seems like a hell of a leap on answers. As an engineer, I'm fascinated on how they were able to build ancient structures and what was the purpose for them? And how were they able to move stuff so big that we would struggle with today. 1 1
