The heavy handed approach to troubled kids, hiding things from the press, and a general arrogant attitude does not bode well. mutch71 said "if I was one of the other young residents and saw how Joshua was treated, I would be having second thoughts about staying.... and I definitely wouldn’t trust the leaders to help or resolve any of my issues that’s for sure. The "secret" entrance with the blindfolds sounds a little silly. Of course security is important but sooner or later somebody slips and tells the outside world about the place.

These characters make instant rash emotional decisions without regard to how it concerns those around them. Hope the money does not run out and they have to live like normal people.

I hardly think that showing someone with an ecstasy hangover is glorifying drug use. 🙄 ( Don't forget a few lines of coke with the ecstasy.) Maybe it comes across to you as your readers being somewhat hypocritical because we are probably guilty of past drug abuses. And you have the right as an author to "keep it real".

If his drug use was impacting his studies or his relationships, I'd classify it as a problem, but it hasn't done that. We all know this is a fictional story, but you can see we are concerned about the drug issue. 1 1 You and Timothy M. reacted to this

Sorry to be such a downer on these plans. Extreme fire escape safety danger with all the windows and doors blocked. Sounds more like a jail than it should .
