Chapter 6 - Can we do it again
Philippe commented on Paladin's story chapter in Chapter 6 - Can we do it again
The university I went to is or was more rural. At times the keg parties would be in a pasture with a flat bed for smaller known bands to have a stage, with generators behind the truck. Then another smaller trailer with the kegs, maybe 10-15. I have actually seen guys draped across a wooden rail fence, passed out and body still recovering before any signs of repositioning should be expected. Yup, still warm and breathing…must be ok; Adds imagery to that hungover reference. At least draped over the fence you weren’t going to choke on your vomit 🤮, just hope the varmints and the ants don’t make a run on it…or you. That morning dew did have a certain refreshing effect…like a cold damp towel, all over. -

Unfortunately, if you knew of her being bad, she was probably much worse when alone with the hubby. I find many times, wife engage in antagonistic behaviors, truly and intentionally provoking the spouses. Of course what was maybe intended to be just verbal harassment and fulfillment for them then turns physical…and they totally blame the husbands. Anyone can be pushed to their limits, and in our own home it’s hard to avoid being subjected to more and more. Society as a whole needs to reevaluate the victims in these domestic situations; putting total blame on a person that responds after begging to be left alone, to stop the harassment, and has the spouse following him along like a yapping Chihuahua in an adult female body….is emotional torture, it’s provoked physical resistance went it goes south. Like auto insurance claims, many times it’s shared responsibility for an accident. If court cases likewise held all responsible parties guilty then the behavior lending to the results would be rethought; it’s the ole cause vs symptom issue…not always, but too often. -

I think anything she does has an underlying benefit to her, so letting Ben go out may make it easier to manipulate the younger kids or to pawn them off on sleepovers too; she gets rid of the kids but still denies dad any increased access to his kids. -

The Months That Make Boys Older
Philippe commented on Tony S.'s story chapter in The Months That Make Boys Older
Yes, I agree the laws could be brought to bear, but then again they are going to try to put the family back together. If done correctly, the system keeps the minor more separated until sincere benchmarks of suitability are satisfied. Then maybe the family can be reintroduced at a controlled and monitored rate. But resources, qualifications, and the lack of adopting a structured plan of substance leads us to empowerment of unqualified beyond paper department employees, that fly by the seat of their pants for what feels right to them, then force it to fit. if the family can’t fix it themselves, then it’s probably going to fail for lack of commitment. Then Matt’s family or Tom if it had gotten that far before discovery, but someone that wants to help and protect Kitt, deserves their moment to offer and hear Kitt’s wishes….and to have Stephen providing that child support for the goals and lifestyle expectations before forcibly removing the minor. -
Oh goodness, denial from Stephen that he’s falling apart. Denial of impairment taking him to the hospital to receive his godly gift of life force to hold on. Denial that the man he remembers saving his sorry sinning ass is worthy of saving him??? 🤔 huh Susan unloads on him, rightfully so. Her thanks to John and partner Mark having to suffice for lack of better gratitude from her sorry husband; if not to be ex-husband if he does straighten himself with her, with the church, with Matt, and most importantly…her son…as she didn’t disown him, only the idiot did. Stubborn and emotionally drained Kitt, has a touch of dad in him. His pride along with his desire to protect Matt from what he believes will hurt him more than the lost of his best friend and de facto partner has already done. Hopefully the tide we see holds, that the longing is now a major force to not be damned. Mateo sees it, Tom sees it, now Kitt needs to allow himself and Matt to see it…in person.

Now Killian is not only deadly with a weapon, he has certified he can do it again and rather reliably too. Of course, this is another reason I don’t think Asher will ever truly accept Killian for himself. He seems to only accept the part that supports him and stroke his ego/confidence. As to Killian’s qualifications on the handgun…I believe we will probably see another occasion where Killian is, by necessity, true to his nickname…Kills or Killer if I remember the original way back when he was getting to know Seth.

Oh my, oh my, the number of times I went through that feeling of putting my arms around my crush on the back of his motorcycle. It’s hell to have a crush that nature teases you with continuously. Though I’ll admit once cruising along at a steady speed, I’d occasionally relax my hug to let my looped hands…rest upon my buddies lap; ahhh, it must have been those wonderful vibrations and our youthful hormones…but it seemed to me that I wasn’t the only one enjoying the ride. I didn’t really get to explore that as I didn’t want to be a straight boy secret and I think a gay boy would have responded a little more encouragingly to the idea that I was boned while hugging him, and resting my hands across his lap. Yup, I fantasized of us going to a private spot and exploring, or maybe camping but it unfortunately it remained a fantasy. Later, I came out to him and he was still very much the same. He even came up to visit me and my roommate lover while we were in college. Yes he knew the roommate was also a lover; he remains a geographically separated friend.

As @Seraph28 mentions, I like the Jacy dynamic, both the personal and the business side of their relationship so far. Hopefully Killian will build a better and more in-depth relationship with Jacy…honestly I think they both need it. Killian and Jacy both seem to lack a true confidant that can also relate well to their personal lives. While Jacy can relate many of his cultural questions and experiences with Fletcher, it seems there’s still a divide that doesn’t give them the depth we might expect; it also goes back to the opening dialogue just before Fletcher was attacked, something about the grandson not having the connection with the spirits…making me think that was Jacy. Does Fletcher not understand Jacy, or is he disappointed that Jacy doesn’t share more of his sensitivities? I don’t understand Fletcher’s hesitation with Jacy, and we have not learned much to explain those feelings yet. As to Killian, he lack someone that has more in common both in age and in understanding his abilities. Seth is an early warning or encouraging coach, but really understanding?? Micah ran from the B&B basement, to some degree so did the family, Novak is not even on Killian’s list to share that aspect yet, and Asher?? Asher hates Killian’s distraction with anything no Asher; I still don’t see Asher as a positive thing for a confidant or lover for Killian. Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but a young gay friend, that shares abilities and can relate, is not too bored to open his mind to how Killian finds information for his investigation puzzles. He is more logically patient than Asher or Micah in my mine. Micah had it for his ex lover and for his news stories but was it truly focusing on Killian? I’m hopeful for Jacy to become more significant to Killian and to also bridge more strongly with Fletcher and the tribal culture.

Oh goodness, Tom was correct about protecting Kitt’s whereabouts, but know Matt as we do it was frustrating to hear that. Hopefully Kitt will ask Tom’s help to see Matt VERY SOON. Protecting his whereabouts is still good, especially as daddy dearest could still cause trouble with Kitt as a minor. Perhaps Tom invites Matt to visit him as he could have more time to hunt for Kitt, then then secret meeting can happen. Hope, hope, hope… -
To be there is a whole different….feel. 😂

Drunkeness doesn’t always translate into erotic behavior and noises…even if sexual prowess is envisioned, that sneaky blood alcohol fog sometimes freezes things in funny or awkward moments. Sometimes it’s not the knocking head board but the stumbling fall of missing the bed. Hopefully everyone had a safe and satisfying night. -

The irony, let her throw him out…he’s becoming a young adult and only needs guidance and transitioning support. He can choose dad on his own and mommy dearest can implode, explode or just fizzle out…it just does matter much at all, concerning her. I think it will strengthen the relationship between father and son. -
Turmoil Chapter 4 – decisions and revelations
Philippe commented on Paladin's story chapter in Turmoil Chapter 4 – decisions and revelations
So sad, but in this age of people wanting not only what is theirs, but anything they may be able to their hands on…whether by extortion through paid legal prostitutes (lawyers) making it more expensive to not pay them than to go to court protecting what is rightfully yours. Then people wonder why so many get pushed into heinous crimes…perhaps more lenient punishment should be extended when considering all provocative actions by the victims. So when the murderer answers the reason why they murdered them…because they asked for it. I’m not advocating violence but rather arguing that many criminals are incarcerated because they were pressured mercilessly with intentional provocations. That to me is like car accidents and insurance settlements…it’s shared responsibility. -

Ahhh, reaching the age and time when young men come to a reckoning of trimming nose hairs, and pubes; then 10-15 years later, ear, neck and back hair. 😣
