Chapter 6: THE EXTRACTION
drsawzall commented on Topher Lydon's story chapter in Chapter 6: THE EXTRACTION
Somewhere along the line, Dio downloaded a complete Snark program... "You *hijacked* a Militsiya pacification bot?" *"I borrowed it. The previous owner was not using it."* "The previous owner was *using it* to *enforce the law*!" *"The law is a construct. Much like Lukas. Also much like this robot now. I believe the term is 'poetic justice.'"* Lukas lowered his pistol. His heart was still hammering, but the combat package was disengaging, shifting back to standby. "You scared the hell out of us," he said. *"That was not my intention. However, I am not displeased by the outcome. The look on Tripp's face was particularly satisfying."* -
I’m reminded of the old axiom, when one assumes, they make an ass out of you and me. Methinks Benedetto has assumed much…

WTF????? The images from last night came back, shifted. How he fucked Atlas against the tree and the rough bark tore at his tender skin. How he pressed Atlas’s face into the soft earth while he fucked him. A knife to Atlas’s throat, or a hand clamping down. The knife in his crotch. -
Just another example demonstrating why this is such a great site for stories!!!

"He said that? About you?" "He said that about me." Wylan met his eyes. "He is sick, Khalid. Crusaders sometimes dip their arrowheads in shit. The bolt that struck him did not just shatter his shoulder. It poisoned him, shattered something in his mind. He is not the brother we knew. He is something else now. Something that will destroy this city if we let him." Rashed lives with a fever, and knowing the game is over for him...I hope the fevers take him slowly, inexorably to his end... And we now have the Baroness of the Bridge!!!

For those interested in a brief summary of the rite Daren asked for...This was a superb chapter!!! the rite of Adelphopoiesis - Search While relief and supplies came in March, the following also occurred after the battle...Allowing them to hold on and regain some of their strength...From the link Topher provided As the Muslim forces were thrown into a chaotic rout, the Crusaders gave chase and pursued them to Harim, killing thousands and capturing horses and supplies. The Turkish garrison at Harim torched the castle and fled east with Radwan.

Chapter 5: THE BLOODHOUND
drsawzall commented on Topher Lydon's story chapter in Chapter 5: THE BLOODHOUND
It's not gonna be easy, and probably messy!!! -
This story is like a ride on a scenic highway, with lovely views around every corner, not forgetting to ask... suck my dick... please?

Well, if it weren't Duncan's wife, I would have to blame the butler or Inspector Gadget.... Looking forward to Book Three, and then there's the following....I'm concerned for Sam... Something pressed against his hand, prompting him to remove it from his pocket. In his palm lay the two forgotten phials of gryphon ash, purchased from Rafe the night before. He swore the ash would only be used in an emergency, and he meant to keep that promise. Opening a compact pocket of one of his bags, he stashed the phials and stepped back warily, as though they would tumble out on their own and call to him.

Something still seems off. Where was the town watch, Duncan's wife? Regardless...let's hope they've seen the last of this place come morning!

The die is cast, and just who is Bennedetto to refuse to submit to the orders of his church?? Where would the church be if every priest felt the same way?? He's a cancer that requires intervention... “If he will not come to it,” another said, “then it must come to him.” Lorenzo gave a small nod. There was no order in it. No emphasis. Only the removal of delay. “Then it must conclude,” the first said. “And he must answer,” said another. “Or be judged.”

The Game of the Silent King.

To each their own predictions, but Thomas suffers from inheriting his father's sickness.... -
It sounds to me that those tutors were more of the "hands-on" variety....

Someone has it bad... Nathan smiled, "So we both had the same concerns about our relationship and being together. You know I actually find that strangely comforting." "How about I go with you to collect more clothes?" "Wouldn't you rather just look around Adelaide?" "I'd just rather be with you." Martin is coming to the point where he needs to be completely upfront with Nathan... This was another topic Martin didn't want to open up about at this time and he desperately tried to formulate an answer. He didn't need to bother. It wasn't a question, which became obvious as Nathan continued, "Of course you are. They sent you over here to help sort out a work problem, and according to Ray you made the decision for him stay employed and have therapy. They obviously value your role."

Thank you for this, and I thoroughly enjoyed this story from beginning to end. I fervently hope you find a way to continue this in a second book, and understand if you choose not to. It is just the greedy reader in me. And then a memory that didn’t feel entirely like his own. Declan’s voice. The passage tombs at Carrowkeel are cruciform. Three chambers not two. They had never reached the third. &&&&& The thought arrived the way the important things always arrived. Without announcement. Without drama. Just quiet and certain and already in motion. He needed to go back. Back to Ireland. Back to the farmhouse. Back to the ruined tomb. This is one of the best stories I've read so far this year, and I thank you for that!

May Signature Feature: Never Too Late to Change by northie
drsawzall commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I have read this and highly recommend this story, a true delight to read, and a reminder for all of us to remember our LGBQ elderly neighbors. -
Here in the center of the universe, Central Massachusetts, the long-range forecast has both Saturday and Sunday as rainy days, with clearing on Monday...followed by more rain on Tuesday and Wednesday....Sheesh.... I've been restoring a pre-WW2 car as a hobby, I call it my fundsarelow project. It has taken the better part of fifteen years, as I worked on it when the funds weren't low. Finally, it is registered, insured, and has license plates. I had plans to use it over the holiday weekend and had been asked to drive it in our small-town Memorial Day parade, but if it is raining...all bets are off...fingers crossed. We have a few elderly veterans who can no longer walk, and I am praying I can use the car; if not, then my daily driver. Wishing everyone a safe, enjoyable, BBQ'ing holiday weekend!!!

The times they are a changing….Rashid was given something to think about, will it take hold? I’m still hoping for a fever to take him to Allah. When the religious zealots run out of things to blame for their misfortunes, they get even uglier….And no one in our traveling party is safe from them. An army of ten thousand approaches, the only chance is to strike them as they approach, hit them when they are tired from their march… Ashot, where is he and what is he up to? I am convinced his love for Stephen will bear fruit for the cause… Spring is coming…right??
