I like this story's beginning, an interesting premise and looking forward to the next chapter!

Lessons to be learned (will they though) and friends to make, I can't possibly believe that the "bumps" in this story are over just yet....

It would seem the Lady in Black will/has met her match. I remain curious tho...what of the dark power behind her guiding her actions, I seriously doubt she is, for the lack of better words, a free agent....

Not sure what to say here...Catlin left crumbles of clues telegraphing her guilt. That along with some suspicious behavior by others seemed to cast a wide net of red herrings... Sadly, once more Aiden saved Will's life with his own, what a shame.

Hoping that the humans get their just desserts when they realize the Temple is no longer functioning...

It seems to me that the crown of red herrings seem destined for Catlin, and I am seriously considering that she isn't the killer. I think she fell hard for Will the night of Joey's murder... Then it would seem that Aiden could possibly be a good fit for the crown and, let's not forget Laura, could she be harboring a hidden crush for Will, is she a true candidate for that fishy crown???\ We know we've met the killer and while the obvious suspects could earn the crown of red herrings, there's one suspect who has been conveniently missing...Nicki's brother Lurch or whatever his name is...

Rezak is heading for a fall of humongous proportions, I can't wait to see him misstep....It may take a while but boy is it coming...

I'm still not sold on Kellen, he'd need to make a full-fledged Sunday dinner first....

While events within are not necessarily my cup of tea, I can't help but be enthralled by this short story. And you had me at the following... When he moved in a few months ago, I made the offer for him to bring some furnishings, but I think he knew it was an empty offer. I had to make it, of course he knew that, but he also knew that I wasn’t really ready for that. I think he knew I was barely ready for him to move in. But his lease ended, and I do love him, so despite how hard it was for me to make the offer, I did. It was difficult, but I managed to do it. It’s now our home, not just mine.

While I haven't been submitting entries lately, I have been vocal in supporting the authors whom I read, I am constantly amazed at the wide variety of different types of offerings. To me, and along with the comments, is why this site ranks among the best story sites. We are blessed that so many put in the effort to create something for us to enjoy. There are days when I am effusive in my praise, or impatient while awaiting the next chapter/story. And then there are those days when the author truly earns their pay, as demonstrated by some of the strident, not-so-kind, or stupid comments I have left. To that, I can only say that the author has truly earned my respect by engaging me so. I guess what I am trying to say is, it's the author's fault that my alter-ego...Uncle Cranky chimes in occasionally.... that's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!!
