Coming back to this a bit late, chores are taking some time; they are growing exponentially., and just for you @Summerabbacat, signs of an early fall are everywhere.... Common sense isn't a lost art here in the States, it is simply drowned out by the salacious, the insane, and the loud, strident voices of victimhood...as an example, our sleepy little town as a tiny Dunkin' Donuts drive-through that became the center of attention as a result of a posting on, Myface, Spacefave, or Yourassbook....what ever it is called these days. A person of indeterminate age was the only car in line at the window waiting for her order when management asked her to move her car up; something about her radio program/music was upsetting the customers inside. Well, she proved her lineage and direct connection to the tribe of stupids, you know the ones who wear those bright red baseball hats that proudly confirm tribal membership with the Morons Are Goberning America. The misspelling is deliberate...don't want to get in trouble, ya know!. An entire afternoon was devoted to asking the person of indeterminate age how that particular offence compared to high gas prices or the cost of groceries, to name a few. We haven't heard back from her since.... Football season is nearly upon us, there will be other things to be ticked off about shortly....just sayin....

Interesting thought, much to think about with this, the possibilities are endless....

I can't remember in what chapter did the knife do its work. How Zal nd Ragart escape after killing, I hope, the faceless should be interesting, and Renn bleeds out on the dyeworks floor... So fitting... How would it happen? What kind of magic would it require? And nothing to guarantee it except trust in Wryyt's treacherous promises. Thinking about it tore at his heart. Mutilated... only half a man. Not a man at all. With a single slash of a knife, his entire identity had been taken from him.

And I have to remember the moments, infrequent as they were, that brought a smile and joy to my life. Caring for them made me a better person in the long run. I joke that I got my children while they were in their 60s. What the heck, I had a station wagon, two dogs, and a cat that thought he was a lion, but that's a story for another day. A group of friends and I will travel yearly to see our football team play a game in a different city. One year, my sister offered to watch Mom while I went. The morning of the game, I got a call from her, telling me Mom had fallen down her cellar stairs, and the hospital would be calling me for permission to treat her. Long story short, she had broken her shoulder, and after surgery to repair it, she would need a month or so in rehab. Before coming home, I had arranged for adult day care, and my job could exist around her schedule. I would bring her in and bring her home. One morning she was a bit late dressing herself and coming out for breakfast. I walked into her bedroom to check on her. Her back was towards me, and it looked like she was struggling with her blouse. Asking if everything was ok, she turned to me, and her bra was half on/off, as was her blouse. That morning, after getting an eyeful, I discovered that I could help Mom get dressed while standing behind her...
