Thanks, this is one of my favorite chapters, I'm believe it or not, back up living on the farm after following a career that led me hither and yon!!

Of course this had to happen.....

My mother was a fantastic cook, as the youngest of the siblings, I often watched what she was doing in the kitchen as neither of my siblings could be bothered. I love to eat and as such, learned the hardest part of cooking, is learning that if the prep is done right, everything cooks itself!!

Someone is gaslighting Micco and sadly, Micco is making it easy for whoever is doing this to get away with it...Micco's obvious reticence in confronting issues around him or taking steps to protect himself is getting tiring. In some manner of fashion, it is like he's taken residence in the Land of Miasma, stuck in the capital city Wallowing.... I understand he's not had it exactly easy, that life has been a terrible series of tragic incidences, but it is time to quit the poor me act and get his crap together...it is his responsibility to take that first step, no one else can do it for him... Let's not forget the mother of all hurricanes is approaching... The moon sets long before I reach my house. My journey home takes longer than usual, due less to Billie’s moonshine and more to the turmoil I feel in the air. Earth’s creatures are on the move, restless at a time when many should be quiescent. The air sizzles with some impending crisis I can’t identify. I stop often, listen, and reach out to question the animals’ foreboding. Get no answer. And WTF is up with the entirety of this conversation??? Burke continues as though I said nothing. “I failed your mother, Micco. I couldn’t be there for her when she needed me.” He sucks in a deep breath, lifts his head and meets my eyes. “I won’t fail you the same way.” As usual, red herrings abound...

Colin is and I agree with @akascrubber, a coward...time to buy a case of Testicular Fortitude and apply in liberal amounts... His crew, starting with Jimmie need to be spoken to as to what is acceptable when working in the clients house. If he and his mates can't abide by simple rules, shitcan them ASAP>>> But then Jimmie and co arrived, had started making cracks about Owain being gay and being a danger to life and limb of decent straight blokes and, well, courage failed him. He’d simply panicked and shut down. It was easily done as Jimmie and the guys were all over the house; it would be difficult to have a private moment with Owain, even if he wanted it.

This comment was spot on, I cared for both of my parents as they struggled with dementia up to the point, I could not properly care for them and their hygiene. I had a wise old nurse explain to me that my constant daily visits were doing more harm to me than good. That at the stage they were at, they couldn't remember the day-to-day visits and my Type A behavior needed a breather and to let go of any guilt I may have had... Lacey isn't going to get better, she will have fewer and fewer lucid moments and for Dominic's sake, his trips to the hospital should be carefully managed.

Oh look...number 89 or there abouts @weinerdog... Anyone messing with Hank and Eclipse is simply frigging doomed....just saying if the culprits would like a shoulder fired missle aimed at the spot the sun don't shine... Reluctantly, they got up and took another shower to rinse off the sweat and sex residue. It didn’t take long before they were presentable and on their way out the door. The paddock seemed forlorn without Eclipse and Hank, but for the foreseeable future, the two animals were safely ensconced in the pastures close to the main house. Ok all you haters, the jury is taking a moment during this quiet interlude to watch a mashup of General Hospital/As The World Turns.... And the jury certainly needed a shower after portions of this chapter....

Quite the learning curve and interesting to see how quickly he is accepted AS AN ALPHA...

It was a shame about Ark 4 being destroyed, one can only hope it happened when all were in statis...

Well as @weinerdog named the father as a POS, I am stunned to find out he is now implicated in the death of his wife...Fry his ass!!! As to the charges facing Jeremy/Bryson in Florida...it is well past time to use all that has happened with B/J, use the publicity machine!!! Bryson's father gave him every reason to flee...he was in fear of this life, that the father has contacts in the seedier part of town giving him easy access to obtaining information on his son, he had no reason to get that kind of information access so quickly!! Turn this into a young man fleeing for his safety and the DA's case crumble as considering B/J did the right thing and turned himself in to correct his mistakes...Fry the DA in the court of public opinion!!!!! Not that I have any strong feelings on this....

Theren was much to see and learn about, someday I would like to visit all the places mentioned!!!

Loved this chapter, and way to go Toby!!!! As @akascrubber noted...Toby has the better living situation and Toby and parents, just may be what Noah needs!!!
