I find this a wonderful addition to the pantheon of stories to be found here on Gay Authors. Very well written, engaging, offering a unique and different perspective. I have to concur with @Summerabbacat and am more than willing to follow this tale to see where it goes. This is what I love about GA, exposure to so many perspectives and look forward to more!!!

Separation anxiety is wreaking havoc with Armand, not surprising knowing the love he has to share...The following had me reaching for the tissues... With Christen’s painting gone, I focused on Nonna’s painting. I brought what I had done to my home studio. When the boys found out I was painting her, they would come and sit with me as I painted. They would comment about her, the flowers and I should include wild flowers in the painting. I had 4 critics as I painted. After one of my painting session, we would go and sit in our roof top garden. We didn’t talk a lot, we remembered Nonna. One of the boys would say something that triggered a memory and then they would comment on that thought. In a way they were bringing Nonna back to life in our memories. I had to tell them how I met Nonna, at least 10 times and it always led to questions. This sessions brought Nonna back to me. I don't think GG is finished with Armand and Colin just yet...And I agree, time to send a painting to auction to see what it will bring to benefit Uncle's Home!!!!

The following was a bit of brilliant wordsmithing, so powerful and if there was a picture of the word bittersweet, needing a description, you'd have to go a long way to find better... Lucas closed his eyes and concentrated on getting air past the tightness in his throat. “Will I ever see you again?” It was a fair thing to ask. They hadn’t pulled any punches with each other. Lucas could take the truth. Jase’s voice echoed back to him from the doorway, as rough and uneven as Lucas’s had been. “I don’t know. I’m sorry.” “Don’t be sorry.” Lucas sank back against the mattress. “Whatever happens, don’t be sorry.” If anyone had a right to that, it was Lucas. Despite the rosy future Jase had painted for him, all he felt was bleak despair. How could he help Macy give the world hope and love when his own was lost? He took a deep breath and tried to exhale some of the crushing pain, but it refused to go. A plea sprang to his lips, but he clamped them closed. No, he wouldn’t beg. I'm assuming as school ends for Zac and friends/fellow crew members they will be heading towards Canada to sail the Great Lakes and then the Pacific, I'm wondering what weather season they will be heading into??? Then there is the conundrum as to using the insurance payment to fund that trip and the others...would the insurance company pay off on the stolen yacht knowing it is still out there...somewhere, or is the payment for the one the hijackers destroyed??? Will or is Jordan thinking of buying the luxury yacht they will be sailing in the Med??? Considering the previous tall ship sailing as training for the boys starting their own charter business?

I was glad to see the connection with Macy's drawings, it is time to take a closer look at all of them...and her mother's diary... Jase's tattoo is bothering him and he can sense Macy as if she was at a great distance from him...time to start a search pattern, increasing the parameters until his sense of Macy becomes stronger.
