Truly a sad remembrance and like diphtheria the evil Messiah's need to be exterminated...what is going to happen next, will the Messiah's be over confident that the now believe they have destroyed the underground and it's residents??? Hoping and praying they they are in for a rude awakening...

Like measles the Messiah's need to be exterminated, I was wrong about Agrell, still hoping against hope she somehow survived...time to find and hand out the diamond daggers and have at the Messiah's...

I have to think that Agrell will survive, at least I hope so...like Mumps, the Messiah's need to be eradicated... One can only hope that the magma is forced to flow in a new direction and end up under the Messiah's tower...

I think @CincyKris has the gist of it, the man in the park still bothers me and I think Macy was always the intended target...Is it possible she has exceptional powers all on her own, which is what makes her valuable...the following also bothered me...why was she the target at the hospital??? “Now. Again. Slower this time. With more detail and less whining,” Jase told him. “‘What did Macy’s father do to you?” “He stole from me,” Menghini repeated, voice ringing with frustration. Jase frowned. “How much?” Quivering, Menghini raised both hands into the air, imploring. “He stole from me.” Lucas watched Jase blink, then shake his head. “He stole from you. A lot? A little?” Menghini’s mouth dropped open, but he didn’t answer. Confused, Lucas looked between the two of them. Jase had stiffened during the confrontation, leaning forward to stare at Menghini. Now he sagged back against Lucas, rubbing his temples. “Never mind,” he mumbled. “So you don’t have Macy?” Menghini nearly gave himself whiplash denying it. “I don’t have the kid. I never did.” “But you came after her,” Lucas pressed. “At the hospital and at the police station.” “Yeah.” Menghini licked his lips. “Colin was supposed to get her at the hospital.”

What are the odds they come across the stolen yacht?? While I am glad to see Zac back on the tall ship, I wanna see the pirates/would-be thieves hang by their testimonials and sent to prison, no letting daddy pay to get them off...

If I remember correctly, no one dies in these fights, they can come close but not be killed or kill...each team has a victory, who's up next??? And the wizard had time previously to study up on Joe and know way too much about his past, did all his teammates do the same...what about our team...what do they know about their opponents???

The comments above pretty much say it all. like @centexhairysub, I wondered about the fire engine and I am sure that there are other 'survivors...we know that noise is a trigger for the zombies, as noted in the chapter and that is a bit worrisome... Having recovered the gas generator they realize that the noise it makes is a problem, I also think that lights might become an issue, it would seem to me that they would be a beacon of sorts. It is possible they might draw other survivors, but attracting the walking dead while staying stationary for a indeterminate length could make staying at the farm, problematic. They're gonna need a bug-out plan...

I chose angry for my reaction to this story, Tyler has lost me in his self wallowing and pity party. I thought he'd be strong enough to pull his head out of his ass...but no... Can someone tell him it is past time to take the tampon out?

Perhaps Lahari, Agrell and the others can nudge the cataclysm device down the well of fire if it can't be redirected back to the Messiah's tower...

Like Polio, the Messiah's need eradication...need any more proof....Start arming the non-Messiah population with diamond daggers pronto!!! To me, while the triumph over the Messiah's at the tower is long overdue, I suspect whatever is coming out of the chimney may be deadly...With her strength will Agrell find a way to counter it?

Well, the circle draws tighter, Colin, it would seem was not alone after all... I found the following interesting as well.. Jase smiled, caressing Lucas’s leg. “Don’t worry. I’ll protect you.” As soon as he said the words, his stomach flipped. He pressed a tight fist to his abdomen, clenching his teeth against the urge to vomit. The pain passed a few seconds later, and Jase took an experimental breath. What the hell had that been? “Don’t make promises you’re not sure you can keep,” Lucas said quietly.

Reading this, you may never look at on of the all time classic stories or any other classic story the same way again. In the best tradition of Mel Brooks and Young Frankenstein, this fresh take will leave you smiling!!!

Thanks, the voices in my writing subconscious tell me we haven't heard the last of these folks..that is if I can figure out what they are telling me...

Are they holed up with unlimited food and other supplies, we've been told there is nursery but left with the Kardoval are secured above the children on the top floor. Can they force an entry into the building through the basement/underground and get the nursery children out of the building...That is if the Kardoval aren't holding them under guard...

Methinks the protest march will do little to nothing...it will however present targets of opportunity to the Messiah's during the march or afterwards as the Messiah's try to consolidate control and power over everyone...like smallpox, the Messiah's need to be eradicated...

Could not agree more....but...I am sure the Kardoval is planning for every and any contingency... Garjah looked at them all seriously. “Stunning level only.
