This happened to me once, then I woke up.... Garvin came closer, looked at the locked doors of the kindling box with something akin to wonder. "If I hadn't seen it, I wouldn't believe it." He grinned. "Jamie, that was as fast and as neat as the Master could do his own self." He came a little closer, looked about the narrow back alley, and leaned in to give Jamie a fond kiss. As their lips touched there was a crack of small lightning, and both boys were flung in opposite directions. Jamie landed flat on his back, dazed, his mouth feeling as though it had been kicked by a wild horse. It took him a moment before he could sit up. When he did, it was to see Garvin laying on his back a short stone's throw away.

This chapter was well worth waiting for, simply superb writing hitting the highs and lows...loved the following line, had me busting out laughing... ‘So I’m Luke, and my dad is Vader, and this is my Empire Strikes Back moment… except this time Vader says to Luke “I am NOT your father”’?' ‘Oh shit. That’s… dark. Brilliant, but dark.’

I had just started reading Carlos' work and like many others stunned at the news. Gay Authors is so much richer with the talent and work he shared. Somewhere out in the multiverse Carlos is writing and riding. RIP Carlos

The visual imagery in this chapter was spot on and truly set the mood. Pete certainly set Michael straight, hopefully the lesson learned sticks!!!

Communication remains an issue... This hero needs shoes.” “There’s a small town you might reach in the afternoon, if you keep walking at the pace you are.” Valrinda cocked his head. “Or we could reach it in an hour if you rode on my back.” “If… I… rode on your back. Are you saying that was even an option?” “Sure, if you want to. Most humans are too scared to fly. And you said you were walking in the vision, so I didn’t think I should offer when you didn’t ask earlier.” “I didn’t think you could carry me!” “Me, carry you? You’re tiny, and I’m Valrinda the amazing! Of course I can carry you.”

Turds being the salient theme of the word...or so they say...😁

Oh...I'm gonna read it, look up the definition of the title...Palingenesis...I'm thinking you may see the connection betwixt comment and title...

Travis and his head mate, a cute pair of sociopaths...hard to engender any positive reactions for anyone. One could wish for a meteor to clean the decks for a fresh start...

An interesting beginning, the stage is set for the battle of good VS evil!!

The sad part is that they found one 'secret' Chinese police station, it is like the old adage, "Where there's smoke there's fire", and I'm willing to bet it holds true, that there are other secret police stations. Time for the AFP to root out these busturds and give 'em a bloody nose and a reminder that worse is coming if they dare tread where angels fear to go...

The Gospel According To Chris, Part 2
drsawzall commented on Sean J Halford's story chapter in The Gospel According To Chris, Part 2
First let me say, work sucks! While I was fortunate to have a job I enjoyed and was valued, retirement is so much finer...We'll take the chapters as they come... Now to the good stuff, I very much enjoy the changes in the POV, it adds depth and makes the story so much richer in nuance and complexities... This is ever so frigging true... Yeah I’ve owned up to the crush. It’s gonna just have to be between me and my right hand lol. Fantasies are fantasies, right. Tho..... I can drain my dick but it seems I can’t drain my brain. The feelings part. I don’t want to not have him in my heart even though it hurts. Help. The diary entry of 18 March was poignant to say the least and shows a real depth of character... -
I did have the thought that the rapist may/might have been one of the evil skinwalkers...now to see just what/who the A-Hole is...

Loved the following, cleverly written and just a great paragraph... and explains so much that's, forgive me for saying so...just wrong ‘Being the guy?’ I said, with a little smile. ‘Did you forget what you said to me in Newlands Forest? Both of us is “the guy” now. Why are you looking so bleak?’ ‘I’m not bleak, bru. Far from it. Can I like, confess something?’ ‘I’m Catholic. My DNA probably has “Bless Me Father For I Have Sinned” written on all my chromosomes in a tiny little font.’ I had a feeling oncology and the study of cancers may be the choice. I was just reading on the remarkable progress in cancer treatments. While not applicable to pancreatic and a couple other stubborn cancers, scientists have come up with new efficacious drugs that may/might reduce the death sentences that the many forms this disease takes, to a chronic and manageable condition!!! https://www.nytimes.com/2023/06/16/opinion/cancer-treatment-disparities.html

The Cape Town Herald, May 3rd, 200–

It will be interesting to see how Jonathan the white lion ties into the main story... -
I loved this chapter and hope for many more...please???? What greater reward could there be??? Armand had to buy a few fishing rods. Looking at the boys' and girls' faces he would buy them anything they wanted. Smiling faces, a joyful sound, and then the singing started. Boarding the boat they saluted the captain. He smiled as he welcomed them aboard. Now the fishing boys and girls were strapped in their chairs. Colin had chairs on both sides of the boat. Everyone who was fishing was strapped in. With a toot of the horn, the boat moved out into the water and headed north. If Peter is the young boy who was following Armand, I suspect an adoption coming up shortly...

Hoping grandfather makes a full recovery, it seems possible with the support system he has in place. While they may have forced the hand of the Chinese, I'm not convinced they will take this sitting down...

I might have to issue a correction...it just may be, other than Ty, that Blake make be the one who's most worthy of redemption, and I don't think I'm being harsh...as to our protagonists being less than likeable, that's putting it mildly...truly destiable...just a realistic look at narcissism run amok...we're heading for a spectacular train crash...course I hope my back is ok when it's time to jump back on the bandwagon...😉
