I think it was a mistake to leave Miller alone while Hank went to get Jessie...But he got just exactly what he deserved. Was he broken, or simply humiliated? Will Miller want to seek revenge and put Hank in his place? If that's the case, I expect Miller's diet may include a copper jacketed, lead hollow point.

The end of the chapter, not disregarding the hot sex between Sean and Gabriel, has me worried for Scott....

I haven't had a chance to go back, but Camille's leaving Rowan with his father also came with conditions he set down...I believe concerning the frequency with which she could contact her son... And this is on Rowan, he could have, at any time, let her know what his father was doing to him... Nuno, would you be so kind as to remind me what those were? While I agree this chapter was cathartic, neither of the three of them holds the high ground; what dynamic comes out of this will be interesting to see...

Is this a proverbial calm before the storm, a tempest in a teapot... Or acceptance, no matter how difficult... The limit arrived. The composure broke. The tears arrived without sound. The tears were not about the sex. The tears were not about the betrayal. The tears were about the hope.

In reading the comments, I wonder if the spirit of the slain Scotsman speaks another battle that Kaylan, Ronan, and Thomas, along with those who stood beside them. The one where all must come to terms with the horror and struggle they endured. If the King, knowing of Thornmere’s heroic stand, failed in his support at this time, would be a blackened stain on his reign. It would shine like a beacon, to those who waver in support to all who hear.

I fear Clint is like the Energizer Bunny crossed with a pile driver…
