    Wrong Footed

I love your use of the idiom. These two are just so cute and in love. Really beautifully handled.
  2. Never seen the twist coming, Dolores. That was really a great twist to the idiom.
  3. The four moved like dark shadows against the edge of the forest. There was little noise but the steady sound of water bubbling somewhere ahead. “Just watch your footing, it is slick just ahead,” Sasha hissed as she bent over and looked at the ground ahead. She could still barely make out the path their prey had made. “I should take lead,” Morrow stated. He pulled his hair back, tying the long blonde hair back with a strip of leather. His pointed ears were now exposed as he slipped his bo
  4. This story was written as part of the Idioms Are Real! Challenge. After being given the idiom "when pigs fly" I read a piece about Dungeons & Dragons in one of the forums and this story was born.
  5. I think it is normal. We think about the issues we see until it affects our family. Immediately we prioritize. Thanks for reading.
  6. Like most things, I do my research. I cant see how anyone can write a story without understanding the world or the technology/magic they are using. In Seeon, i used transporter and other technology seen in Star Trek or other sci-fi books. I clearly designed one part of the world to be behind the curve, misusing the technology they have gotten, while the rest works to benefit everyone. Background understanding was necessary. However, I'm more likely to do research on various mythological creatures and forms of magic to use in my stories. Even my favorite comic characters are researched. Wonder Woman's bracelets are made from Zeus' shield, Hawkman and Hawkgirl can fly and more due to Nth metal, and the list goes on. I am not one to let a character live just because he was shot and I like them. Everything must make sense for the world it is created for. Sometimes, it is easier to kill them and deal with the fall out, or injure them and make them a more interesting character. Anyway, just my take.

  8. Mine! Charlie Brown looks good in a crown. Hands Val a shiny stone.
  9. All mine! My precious. Hmm. Will settle for slices of mozzarella and tomatoes for my snack.
  10. The precious is Mine! All hail the
  11. Things have been rough in my life for the last two years. I've been slow to get anything out due to an accident last year. I had detached retinas in both eyes, have had buckles put on the eyes, laser surgery, gas injected, and a few other not so fun things done. Add in diabetic and catracts and im just glad I can see at all. I've gotten a prompt story done, took a shot at the Idiom challenge, and hope to finish the anthology. Sorry if anyone thought I left. Just takes me much longer. Hope I still have people who enjoy what I am getting out. Wayne
  12. Sorry Paladin. Glad it caught your attention.
  13. “Why do you always do this?” Paris muttered as he looked at the muddy footprints and paw prints across his kitchen floor. “Do what, Papa?” came Mollie’s little voice from behind. Paris blushed, forgetting his daughter was behind him. “Nothing, baby. Daddy just forgot to take his boots off.” “Again?” Molly walked past her papa and set her school bag on the counter. “I’ll get the mop and the bucket.” Paris shook his head as he watched his seven year old act more like a grown up th
