  1. In my small opinion, I think there is not really a happy medium here. My dad always said, " Parents teach moral behavior, teachers teach knowledgeable behavior." That being said, the student was not really giving the teacher the respect the teacher deserved as far as participating in his classwork, but on the other hand, he was using his knowledge that was instilled in him, and putting it to good use. So, that being said, it is really a no win situation. As far as the teacher, I know I have had some great educational guidance, so I am not going to slam a profession because of a few bad teachers. 2. You guys are so funny. MikeL., that was hilarious. LMAO
  3. Wow, KC, I live in a part of the south that the Civil War was very prevalent. i believe your story, because Confederate images have been seen here many times.
  4. One thing to say. I was so glad that I had not used all my "likes" for the day, and wish we had "loves", because the scenes you paint with your poetry just soothe my whole spirit. Thanx

    Being English

I love this story. Sorry I did not review the first chapter. I was just so surprised to see you writing another story, my anticipation got the better of me. Corbin has so many personal irons in the far as far as relationships, and now he seems to have found one that may go somewhere, and is getting mixed signals. Hi group of pals are so funny. Great read. Thanks1

    Chapter 1

Awww, it is so sad to think of all the opportunities I missed to say that to my mom. Never take your loved ones for granted. Beautiful
  9. When I was in my early teens, one of my best friends ran away. We lived in a very small town, so by midnight that night, everyone was in a panic. My grandfather worked from eleven at night until noon. He got up around one in the morning to find all of us awake, and asked why we were all up at such an early hour. My dad explained that my friend had been missing all day, and that she still had not been found. He relplied," Oh, that must be who was in the dream that kept repeating itself in my sleep tonight. She is in the big culvert that runs along the parking lot at the Union Church." Dad immediately grabbed his coat, ran out the door, and drove to the location, to find her in the culvert, sound asleep, shivering from the cold. I now do not dismiss abnormal happenings that people tell me. I have had quite a few happen to me since then.
  10. Tommy, you have done a great job describing what I feel is depression sometimes. It comes and goes, and you don't feel like suicide, you just want to give up. took me a long time to try to channel my thoughts otherwise. Thanx for great input!
  11. How horrible for a mother's reaction to trigger such horrible thoughts and feelings in her own child that he is terrified. Jacob's dream made me sick at heart for him and his feelings of abandonment and hate from his mother. But on the other hand, I feel like this sick Sarah situation is going to bring Jacob and Matthew much closer as brothers, and as friends. Jacob deserved to get peed on for torturing Matthew. I just hated that Matthew was so more traumatized than what Jacob first realised. But, Jacob has grown in so many ways, and was there to clear his younger sibling's mind of any wrong doing. Kyle is very observant when it comes to putting a finger on Jacob's emotions and what brings them about, and that will be a great trait to possess as their relationship deepens. So glad that Jacob told Kyle what he is trying to deal with, and Kyle assured him of his support. I feel the weapon is going to be something to try to play on Sarah's emotions if the bitch has any left to play. I want to smack her. Well, as you can see from my review, I think you did an awesome job on this one guy
  12. It is always great to find a friendly face in times of trouble, but even more so , when you are gay, on a honeymoon, and a timberjack looking guy rescues you. Poor guy, he probably almost deflated in relief when he found out he and his husband were not in harm's way. Great job!
  13. Hi everyone. I have been to the beach for a few days on a much needed vacation, but missed all of you. Well , Mike, glad you and yours got through rocky waters. I am sure we have all been there done that, but it still makes hard when things are out of sorts between the two of you. Mark, sounds like you are in hog heaven and stuby heaven, so not much I can say, but enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. Hugs Wayne, sounds as if life is going your way. Hope your dad is still on the mend, and work is great. Hugs Harcallard, can't tell you what to do about the bf, but I will tell you , if you learn to put yourself first, then you will never feel like you are standing behind anyone, you will feel like part of the crowd. Always try to be a part, not just a you, wondering if you are being noticed. You are there, with a purpose in life that only you can fulfill. Whether it be small or large, it will influence those around you, so hopefully, you will be positive in all that you do. Keep your chin up, and keep trudging along. Everyday is not going to be a walk in the park, but when you get them, enjoy them. Make them forget the bad days. ( hops off the soapbox now ) Have a great week and hugs guy. To eveyone else, a helping hand if needed or wanted.
  14. Happy Bill W.
  15. Hi Daniel There are lots of great stories here with happy endings, and I have so much fun just browsing stories, looking for something to read.
  16. Wow, Cia, lucky for you. They were cool all along, and you did not even know. Don't you hate real life drama?
  17. My drink of choice is bourbon and water. I do not real sweet bourbon. I usually drink Crown Royal, of if it is not available, ten year old Charter. If I want something a little sweeter, I do Bacardi rum and coke. Wine is ok, but it gives me a headache also. During the summer, I like a frozen margarita every once in awhile.
  18. Lily,,,, don't give up, but don't let it dominate your life. It seems you really care, continue to try to find out the details, so you will be at peace with yourself. And as Cassie says, hugs girl

    The Challenge

This was great, and has Wayne said, you did a great job even without using those five key words pertaninng to the sport. Loved this
  21. Harcallard You sound so much better and I am so glad you cleaned house. Finding happiness, and then sharing it with others makes life worthwhile. I hope you only look forward to newer and better things. It is not always going to be a bed of roses, but you just have to keep pulling the weeds, and taking care of the beautiful things. Everything needs to be cared for, and you happiness is in your hands. Hugs
  22. Jordan has a long road of healing ahead, and I hope he and Drew can become closer, and he will allow Drew to help. Who in the world hired Lucas to be the hit man? I just can't see the Mayor leaving notes and things. I still have not ruled the "doc" out of suspicion. Love the gang of friends you have here. They all have their own unique personna. I just feel like all of the folks are out of the closet that are going to be. lol This is another great chapter, but it is the last dang it. I am caught up! Means you have got to get busy young lady. lol I am sorry if I keep calling you AJ. Great job.
  23. I notice a trait that Jordan and Drew share. They support each other, regardless of how they really feel about somethings. I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that the mayor is the killer. I think there is maybe more than one party involved in the killings. I may be way off the mark, jmo. I just checked, and see that I only have one more chapter to read, dang it! This is such a great read. I will be haunting you, prodding you to write. Good job AJ
  24. Your story is turning into such a mystery, along with the romance, and I love it. I am glad that Drew is having a few sympathetic feelings toward David, because I think David is going to need all of them as friends if he find out his father killed the boy he loved. He will be devastated. Poor Jordan, wanting the door left open, aftermath of all the crap his father put him through, and I am sure that is just the tip of the iceberg. Jordan, adjusting back into society is going to take awhile, but I am sure Drew and his group of friends will be a lot of help and support for him. I am not really sure about David's father being the killer though. Don't know why, but I just feel like it may be someone else. Guess I will have to wait and see. Loving this more and more girl
