Well, I'm not blaming Hy for refusing to lie or perpetuate the deception, but she should probably have told Mikeal to ask his parents about this. Going to Adam was a great decision since he managed not to crash on the way.

They're definitely in love and the hot sex is wonderful icing on the cake. But I still think Mikeal should have come out to his father in the car. He could have done it when they stopped for lunch, and if his dad freaked out, Mikeal could have stayed at the cafe and asked Adam to pick him up.

I love this chapter, with the argument, Julie's clever advice, and the way Adam wants to be sure they are in a good place after their 'fight.'

I like Adam for not giving up but still being gentle in trying to find out what is bothering Mikeal. And I can certainly understand Mikeal only wanting to come out to his parents if he has a long-term boyfriend.

Interesting that Adam and Mikeal's gut feelings about Josh were correct. I predict Julie will feel vulnerable for quite a while, so I'm proud of Mikeal for offering his unlimited support. Adam will have to deal, and luckily he seems quite aware of his own feelings and how to act sensibly. Not like his boyfriend at times,

It's a little strange how most of your replies to Blind are doubles. Anyway, I'm definitely with Adam here. Mikeal gets upset about being treated as an immature boy, but that's what he is. He's lucky Adam is so honest and caring, someone cynical could have broken his heart by throwing the L word back and taking advantage. They haven't even used the word boyfriends yet.

A little alcohol can loosen your inhibitions, but I'm glad Adam did his best to treat Mikeal right. Even if they had been on their own, he wouldn't have taken advantage.

Well, everything has been said, including Julie being a good friend - better than when she abandoned Mikeal at the corset booth. But he might not have met Adam otherwise. Adam certainly seems interested, and he probable need to take thee initiative to get this started and catch the shy guy.

Being drawn back to one of my favorite stories, I can see I never managed to comment on this first chapter. It's funny how it's just as intriguing when you know the rest of the story.

YAY, I knew it - of course the human Jany loves is a mate. I'm surprised Jany miscalculated so much in his approach to Victor. Or is the older vamp just playing insulted in order to hurt Jany? There must be bad blood between them.

Good catch, Vicki. Sorry Gary, as your editor I should have noticed Did you already fix it, Gary ? Right now it looks like Kendall got to ride with the ambulance and that's why someone else took Ace's car home. But then, how did Kendall get hold of his truck? Hmm, I'll have to check the next chapter too. -
YAY, my other favorite Valdemar novel. Pol is one of my favorite Heralds. Highly recommended.
