I like Tyr, and I hope Andy and the twins decide to live in Prince Winter's castle. I bet Tyr would love to be at the bottom of a puppy pile of those three - and I get the feeling he's a mate. I'd forgotten about Andy writing to Winter to tell him about his mates. quite dangerous, what if the letter was intercepted by a Rathburn soy? Why was Tyr's bed a ruin ? Bad Eli, climbing to the loft all by himself and standing on wobbly ladders. He should at least have trusted Pax to explain to Mat, or he should have told Mateo he needed him to hold the ladder and carry stuff. If Eli doesn't ask Mateo to do something for him, his mate will come up with things in order to fulfill his need to be useful to Eli. And that help may not be what Eli wants. I'm glad they took him to the club, and the reward is a new mate.

No, I don't actually go looking for pictures, but some of my readers do and they'll send me pictures or post them in my story topics if they comply with GA rules. @pzetts3 even made a gallery with suggestions for characters from Gary's Cards on the Table and my Clueless Camping story. So your second suggestion of listing imaginary traits is what I do.

Now that Myr has helped making a series for me, I can add another Angel and Imp story if inspiration strikes. But first I need to finish my CC story (either of them).

You've captured exactly what I wanted to convey with this story. When the Cardmaker appeared in my head several years ago, I immediately knew here was a guy who deserved a break and to find love. I didn't know at the time that he also needed to get a an extended family, but I'm so pleased my readers like this development too.

I think you mean it's your third comment on this chapter alone. All of them are welcome, but I'm not sure what kind of prize I should give you. If you''re reading the story again because new chapters are posted so rarely you've forgotten the story and have to refresh your memory, then I guess you should get some sort of consolation prize. If you're reading it again because you like the story, the way I do with my favorite stories, then perhaps I should come up with something else. How about a huge for being a wonderful reader.

Sigh, I'm in two minds. On one hand they do need to talk about the big stumbling block for a future relationship, which is not the porn but whether Erik will leave New York. On the other hand, it's much too soon for this talk, and Ryan's sister should have kept her mouth shut for now. We know Erik is getting fed up with his life, but Ryan doesn't. In addition, if Ryan raises the question, Erik will leave NY for his sake, and for the chance of a relationship, but he needs to make the decision for his own sake, to prevent any future resentment.

I like normal or realistic flaws in characters. If the flaw becomes the defining characteristic of a person, it can cause me to abandon the story. For me this is particularly the case if the flaw is emotional in character and never gets tempered or influenced by rational thought or logic. I'm sure other readers have other kinds of flaws they dislike for whatever reasons. An example: A boy is in love with someone he thinks is unobtainable, due to status, looks, or whatever. We all know the feeling, right? However, his best friend disputes this fact and his arguments sound good (to us). But the boy isn't convinced, because he thinks his friend is biased. Fair enough. But then the object of his affections shows interest or even invites him out. Or the boy finds him in a vulnerable moment and helps him, realizing he's human after all. If the boy still persists in thinking he's unworthy and keeps wallowing in this feeling to the point where it puts a (future) relationship in danger, then this flaw becomes the main focus of the story rather than what the boy can do to overcome it. That's the point where I give up.

Yes, @ColumbusGuy and I have a good laugh about this at times, when I help him with Danish phrases for his Jay and Miles story.

Of course, my reason to ask this question is entirely selfish as I have an unpublished Forbidden Love Challenge story which awaits the Newsletter and Cia toggling the publish button. I fear it will never make the Newest story list, since that's what happened to me twice before. Just thought I'd admit this biased interest straight away.

I'll use Carlos' question and add my own in a new topic, as you suggested, Myr. My observations relate to Northie's story Soul Music. I got a notification of the new chapter, and posting it has also placed the story high on the New Stories list on the main Stories page. But the chapter does not show in the Latest Story Updates on the right side of the main Forum and Stories pages, where it should say Northie Added chapter 14 to.... As far as I can work out, two other ongoing stories also appear on the New Stories list, without the new chapter making the Latest Story Updates list. Rough Justice and Stranger, but this is probably because both authors are still in the Moderation Queue procedure. In contrast, Carlos adding a new CJ story has not made it appear in the New Stories list. However, it does show in the Latest Story Updates on the right side of the page (Carlos Added story Georgetown: Over The Rainbow). But there should also be a listing saying Carlos Added chapter 1 to..., just as with other new chapters posted. In addition, as Carlos pointed out, the story does not figure as the Latest story at the bottom of the Forum and Stories pages. And I did not get a Notification of Carlos posting, even though I follow him as author, and I normally get a notification when he posts a new story. Of course there are plenty of other newly updated stories which appear on both list, so it's not a consistent bug. What did @Carlos Hazday and @northie do differently from the other authors? Carlos post-dates his chapters, but you said it wasn't that. Northie will have to tell whether the Soul Music chapter was posted in any special manner. I hope this long-winded explanation will be useful.

I still dislike Geoff's mother, she is a self-centered fool with a massive empathy deficiency. What kind of mother puts their child down again and again, especially when he turns out to lack self-confidence and assertiveness. But I guess it takes two to perpetuate this unhealthy situation - one who do the trampling and the other to accept it being done. But she is still the original culprit, and she displays distinct lack of general understanding too. I may forgive her if she takes the news of Geoff being gay and welcomes Tony as her son's partner, but my hopes are low on this. At least Geoff had some happy times during the week before another stupid woman ruined that too.
