    Verboten

Ohhh, very clever, I liked the rerun of the scene but with a better ending. Waiting will be worth it, and it's not like it will be years. They can be friends and get to know each other, as long as it stays platonic.
  2. Don't worry, my words were not coming from a similar personal experience, but from putting myself in Jamie's place while thinking of someone I wanted but couldn't have.

    Off Limits

Love knows no limits of age, and at least there does not seem to be a wife to complicate matters. But I do understand Rob's reluctance. Hopefully, Iggy will convince Lea and Dylan to accept him as their father's partner.
  4. Caring about something can take many forms, and while we wouldn't normally call Otis a good guy, he did do a brave act of rightness here.
  5. I have seen the Havens but they were snatched away. The lack of love and understanding condemned me to an empty life. Now I am facing my personal hell and the anguish and remorse may tear me apart.
  6. When you’re courting danger, it’s important to have allies you can trust. Especially if you’re caught in the act. This story is part of Cia’s Forbidden Love Challenge.
  7. “Laryn, what are you doing?” The harsh whisper caused the boy in front of me to scramble back with a scared whimper. Nerith jumped to his feet and scuttled away past my uncle, who let him go. I fastened my breeches with a sigh before turning around. Why do adults always ask stupid questions like that? “Wasn’t it pretty obvious?” “You know that’s forbidden, not to mention dangerous. What if you’d been caught by anyone but me?” I’d get beaten, obviously. “No one comes to this part

    Chapter 6

The only comfort in the end was Ryan insisting they would not have sex and Eric respecting his decision. Interesting that he didn't catch that Eric also used drinking to numb his pain after Ryan left. But alcohol is no solution either.
  9. Just so you know podga introduced me to GA, for which I'm eternally grateful. This story was the first one I commented on after I joined in March 2013. It's still one of my favorites although I like all podga's stories, and it's a shame he never posted more than a couple of them here. But at least you can enjoy this short story which tells a touching love story unlike any I've read before or since. Yet it's probably not unusual since the main characters are in the closet and one of them is married when their love affair starts. The story is told from the point of 'the other man' and we get to experience his mixed feelings of caring and remorse over their secret love. I'm not going to say any more, but every time I read it, I get tears in my eyes, yet it also leaves a warm feeling in my heart. Highly recommended.
  10. Aww, Nick said they could go to Denmark to get married.
  11. Always nice to meet sensible parents who knows what is important.

    An Extra Boy

I hope Nathan can pay it forward too, finding his own boyfriend and showing him how great sex can be.
  13. A nice blend of sensible and sexy.
  14. I guess Scandinavians are more relaxed, because I can see nothing wrong with them having a threesome. They're giving Nathan an wonderful experience he'll never forget. They'll have fun, but I bet it will only reinforce their conviction that the best sex happens between them.
  15. Disneyland is OK, but Universal Studios is much better.
  16. I agree. Whatever her motive was, the fact that she exposed her grandson to her bigoted views is disgusting and wrong. Peter can shrug off her lack of acceptance, but he'll never forgive this.
  17. I've found your flaw. You keep coming up with all these great ideas for stories, but they never seem to get written ?
  18. Wow, I'm struck almost speechless. You gave us the equivalent of four chapters of content in one go. It was nice to see everything fall into place one event after another, and I'm happy for Seth and Liam. They are very good for each other and will have a wonderful life. I'll read anything you write, but Michael is too much of a tease for me to really relate to.
  19. I didn't want to presume and offer advice to authors who have been here longer than me or are more accomplished (or both). And I think most experienced authors here already reply to comments.

    Tough Love

If Andy had already been aware that the failure of the visit was mostly due to him, then Adam wouldn't have had to resort to grilling to get through to him. And he did offer a lot of constructive advice on what Andy can do for Eric, which will make things easier going forward. It was a harsh lesson for Andy, perhaps, but one he could have avoided by taking his course seriously. I'm not saying he wouldn't have made the same mistakes, even if he had paid attention, because he seems rather unsuited to the volunteer job he's signed up for, but it would have been easier to excuse him, if he'd done his best according to what he'd learned. If Andy does managed to carry on with the job and help Eric, it will probably improve his maturity and social abilities a lot.
  21. In relation to GA: My advice to new authors here is always reply to comments on chapters and stories. You don't have to do it immediately, but always reply. I'm an author but I'm also an avid reader leaving comments on most stories. However, if I can see the author never replies, I won't bother. The only exception is if the author gets so many comments I realize he and she could never reply to them all and still have time to write. But they could make a reply-to-all comment at some point, and perhaps leave a like on each comment. One of the things making GA the best site is the possibility to interact with writers and readers. Use the opportunity, as pointed out in the article above.
  22. I'm very pleased to hear that - don't forget to read Aditus' Cupid story before you read the last part of the trilogy.
  23. Yes, I really do need to get writing, since I know you're all caught up. It's been wonderful to follow your journey through the story and I'm so happy you still enjoyed it. Praise for conversations I write is especially welcome, since they are one of my weak spots.
  24. And I'm sure @Bucket1 is pleased to see you acknowledge it's summer down under, when we have winter. I'd forgotten about reading Graeme's story. I'll have to check the others out, but I'm in the middle of Rip Skor's Boy Story after Carlos featured it in AaA.

    Story

That's OK, I guess I'm resigned to it being the noble solution. But I'd like to see Carl find someone else to love.
