    The Jar

yikes, that was scary. I would have thought Tommy's OCD and hand-washing habit would have saved him from the blue stuff, but no such luck. Will he now possess the lady at the line? That should confuse both of them. Or maybe she has a son...
  2. Thanks, Cia. I don't use pictures, so it's not a problem for me, I just knew CG has been struggling with his Jay&Miles story which has some small awesome pics of things from the seventies. Readers have liked those a lot, and I don't think they have slowed down the chapters. But the solution to post the pics in the story discussion topic with links in the chapters is a good one, because that might also generate more activity there, CG.
  3. This was fun, although the idea of trying to learn salsa in one lesson has me And why on earth did Stefan offer to dance with him at graduation. Maybe because all of his other pupils said no thanks to stepping out with the grim reaper. I'm happy Daniel got the best prize in the shape of a hunky fireman.
  4. This story still hits me like a punch to the gut. But that's because it's so real and so well-written. We saw the last straw which broke the camel's back. Sad but satisfying in that we know he finally took the last step.
  5. @ColumbusGuy you might want to see this reply, because I know you've also been struggling with the pictures in your chapters. Maybe the solution is to create a link to a post in your story topic and add the picture there. Or could the picture be placed in a chapter comment, Cia? Wait, I see you say things can be in the chapter notes - so could CG put his pics in the top note and end note?
  6. Ohhh, I get two replies to my comment. Lucky me
  7. He, he, yeah. Being Robin to Gary's Batman makes me the lucky one, although I only get the chapter one or two days before everyone else.
  8. LOL, don't worry, the next A.I. story will end the trilogy. But you may see a glimpse of the team in Patrick's story for the next few chapters.

    Do No Harm

I wondered why John didn't bring a weapon to the confrontation, but that would have made the self-defense plea more difficult. I'm glad he didn't get caught though, and he should definitely not feel any guilt. He didn't do it for revenge or money, but simply to end the evil of Jack. It was the right thing to do IMO. I'm glad he waited and let Tommy find his peace and quiet, before he asked him on a date. Fingers crossed they'll find happiness together.
  10. this was awesome. Maybe BT can tinker with the android program and add a few extra tricks to their repertoire. I'm sure the Captain and crew of Heaven will appreciate that. Please do some more BT prompts for us. I'm sure Mike can inspire you.

    Chapter 1

Finally, I get to answer this comment. I guess I could include Richard in one of my other stories - but wouldn't it be more logical to make him a relative of Jasper? Oh and I wish I could use one of the ginger men pics you're sent me as illustration for this story. But they're NSFW and I would get thumped by GA admin. The warning points would be well-deserved for those hotties.
  12. Yes, please, I'd love to read more about these two, if you're ever inspired to return. But I have to admit the story seems perfectly 'fini' to me as it is. We know they'll be happy and make up for the years they lost.

    Spares

Don't know how I missed this story ! Absolutely wonderful. When I read the part about Mark having wed his high school sweetheart, I immediately envisaged him being the one in the tow truck, but even after I realized my mistake, I didn't guess Eva would be the one. But it makes sense. I bet she was a tomboy girl, strong and into guy stuff and this was what attracted Mark originally. It could also explain why she wasn't at home when the fire happened, since she was probably out on road duty. All these subtle unstated details are part of why your stories are so real, and in this case made me drop a tear or two. Eva needs friends who care about her, and Mark and Steve can be that. And I can't help looking ahead and wonder if she'll be an even more important part of their lives as the mother of their kids, if she doesn't find someone to love for a while. It might be a meaningful way of dealing with her grief and finding hope in life.
  14. @Hudson Bartholomew and I are feeling left out. no quote or thanks for our posts.
  15. Yeah I liked tim's story too, it was an awesome take on a rather difficult prompt. I thought it was hard enough to do the old First Line journal prompt.

    Notebook

Interesting, I had the same thought as Free, but your reply made a lot of sense. I bet if Denny had ever shown the slightest attraction to Arlo, he would have told him much earlier. At least, Arlo only dated the girls, he didn't marry one of them, and perhaps he hoped to find the girl who could push Den out of his heart as more than a friend. Luckily, Den overstepping the boundaries of friendship in reading the journal led to more than friends and not loss of friend. Great take on the promt, tim.
  17. Loved this. He rebuffed the obnoxious customer and rewarded the nice lady.
  18. I like that first line prompt. I can feel another Rob chapter coming up. Glad you chose to feature prompt #571, since someone forgot to leave a link to his #570 Metaprompt chapter. Reminds me, I should check out comicfan's take on that prompt.
  19. Thanks, Taz (or should I call you Brian?). You have great instinct about the twins and how they are reacting. Russell's issues are deep-seated and yes, his twin is frantic. That's all I can say here. I'm delighted to have you reading this story and leaving comments.
  20. Thank you, Jay, for expressing exactly how I feel about my GA friends.
  21. You're welcome and for commenting. I've always wanted to be a twin, so I agree completely about the twinbond. So glad you're still enjoying the story. With the speed you're reading I foresee you'll soon join the hungry birds asking for more or the pitchfork team prodding me to write.
  22. Thank you so much for leaving comments. It's wonderful to have a new reader enjoy my story and telling me their thoughts. No need for any war between your wants, there will be conflicts and love. As to the art school matter you'll have to wait and see.

    Chapter 7

So do I (and you can now quote comments which will create a notification, but I see Graeme saw your reply already). @Graeme perfectly explained why I felt Corey was clueless about his peers, and I'm grateful he did, since I couldn't. My next question is why Corey is like that. Is it because he's always followed Brett's lead in the past, and so he hasn't had to develop any social skills by himself? This would fit my earlier feeling that Corey has autistic traits, but it may also simply reflect him being an immature teen. I also like your thoughts about Brett, they fit his behavior well.
