  1. “Who gave you the right to read my journal?” Eric’s smile didn’t waver. “I’m not reading your journal. I couldn’t even if I wanted to. Dude, your handwriting is worse than mine.” He was right about that. I printed all my assignments rather than turning in hand-written reports to teachers, who would complain they couldn’t decipher them. “So what are you doing?” “I looked in the drawer,” he said, pointing at my bedside table. “I wanted to see if you had…stuff.” Now he did squir
  2. Well, I'm glad John agrees with me about the non-consensual sex being easier on him with than without the drugs. But as usual he's being too hard on himself for enjoying it. Why shouldn't he? He was chained up in the dark, with no one to talk to or touch. As human beings we crave contact and intimacy, and sex with Dom was his only way of fulfilling this need. Plus having satisfying sex meant Dom took it easier on him in other ways. Even the last scene where John fucked Dom makes me happy in a way, because it showed both of them what could have been, if Dom hadn't been such an idiot and utter asshole. John can tell himself Dom's reluctance to bottom was another sign of how stupid he was, since it was probably the best sex of both their lives. I hope Dom survives the rescue, so he can spend many more years regretting everything he lost. As for John, now he knows what the best with Dom would have been like. When he finally has sex with Bobby I hope he'll find out how much better it is, because they truly love each other and care for each other. There will be cuddles and loving words - which I noted did not happen at all with Dom. His drugs may have taken control over John's body, but his heart and mind were his own. He never once said he loved Dom, not even at the height of their fuck. He did before, and there are vestiges left, but those dying embers are nothing to the roaring and eternal fire which is Johnny's love for Bobby.
  3. At least he knew at the time it was wrong and he was made to feel this way. Like Gary said, the obvious reason is drugs in the orange juice. I think the mindfuck is worse than the bodyfuck in this case, and we have to consider the alternative: a rape without the drugs that would really have thrown him back to his time in enemy hands. I completely agree about the scent thing, it's one of the strongest carriers of memory and emotions. It was wonderful to see how Bobby's scent and his presence make Johnny feel safe and relaxed.
  4. I'm very happy we still have you with us, Dodger. Take good care of yourself, and don't let little things in life bug you.
  5. I love this observation, it describes one of the mutual benefits of their relationship perfectly. And now I miss EagleIsaac all over again.
  6. I'm glad if our discussion was of any help. I guess this topic shows why @Myr is always telling us to list all the technical specifications of our device, browser and writing tools when we report a bug.
  7. Good question, and probably one Myr and Gene would ask too. I use Word 2010 ie .docx files (on a laptop with Google Chrome). I have no idea about the operating system, but I'm pretty sure it isn't Android. How do I find out? It says Windows 7 Enterprise 2009. Does that sound right? PS I often have footnotes with embedded links in my chapters. I haven't tried yet whether they work in the new system.
  8. A Team In All Things ... and something more... For once I'm slightly bewildered by the chapter title and note. Of course, the image of Kellar and Tobyn as a team is familiar and obvious, as is the 'more' in terms of being earth mates and lovers. But I have the feeling I'm overlooking something. They are a team in the healing, with Tobyn providing energy for Kellar's skill. They are a team when it comes to persuading shifters how to embrace the future - and also how to deal with surprised human earth mates who needs to be convinced to give their shifter mates a chance. They are a team who can deal with hunters - and probably a nasty Brian cop too - but I bet Connor will be a real asset here, since he's well versed in cyber-crimes, ie tracking down secret stuff on the internet. They'll soon be on the road as a team tracking down other packs to help them with copper chains, healing and the earth mate connections. They'll be a team for Warren's wedding and first shift. But you say there's something more... Now I wonder what's in store... for them, for shifters, for us... Monday needs to arrive in a rush... Yeah, I know, that was lame. Now you know why I don't write poetry. Did anyone else notice Tobyn casually stating vampires exist ?!!
  9. The Times They Are a-Changin' and Favors - yep there were plenty of examples to show why you chose these descriptions. I hope you'll be able to read and reply to my whole comment eventually. Warren being called sweetie, lol, and being proud of his brother. Dirk smiling, talking, laughing. Everyone in the joined pack having hope for the future. Tilly wanting a three bedroom house, because now she sees kids as certain. Human earth mates being easily accepted, though Sybil hinted of old prejudice on this. Warren and Tobyn doing Kellar a favor on ditching the savior subject - for now I loved the scene with Warren asking for favors, I bet he hasn't done much of that before, or the whole putting others before himself. The wedding traditions sounded awesome, and they're right about a whole bunch of them coming up. I hope Logan's dad gets to perform the ceremony for him and Tilly. If they've done some saliva swappeing she should be able to wear her finest pelt for Adelin. Looking back to the very first chapter of the story was a very special moment, and it made me think about how much has changed indeed since we began on the Morningstar journey with you. You've lead us step by step into some truly amazing scenes and moments, and it's impressive how logical it all seems even though you managed to hint at, but hide almost every major event and surprise. I look forward to reading the whole story all over again when it's done. Oh, and a sequel sounds perfect too. And talking about surprises, you sure gave us a big one about Hugh and Connor. Another human earth mate, and one with a complicated background and a serious medical problem. I suspected a STD, but the reveal in the next chapter made a lot more sense. Like I said: unpredictable, but logical once you know. That goes for the little teaser about 'stuff we did as kids' which Hugh thought didn't count. Well, turns out it did, and our boys did a good job bending his knee to the truth. I liked how Tobyn admitted he at first had a hard time accepting the earth mother choice for him, yet now knows Kellar is perfect for him in every way. Just like a caring and protective guy like Hugh is probably the best choice for Connor. I wonder whether the earth mother noticed him before or after he came into the area? Anyway, Kellar and Tobyn did some pretty good favors here - going with Hugh to confirm the mate theory, being open about their relationship, helping with the hurt ewe. And that reminds me of another change - Kellar being able to do healing without his plants. Makes me wonder what else you have in store for us. A wonderful, long and satisfying chapter, buddy, in spite of the tiny cliffie.
  10. Now you made me all about whether it does work for me. After all, I only have the occasional words in italics or bold. So I just made a small test, and the italics did work. I got the usual warning saying 'You have pasted content with formatting' - with the option to remove formatting. But ignoring the warning meant the italics stayed in place. Maybe the fact you have other codes for font and size included messes things up? We should ask @Headstall how it works for him, because he has quite a bit of italics in his Morningstar chapters, eg the most recent one A Team In All Things.

Interesting to see a discussion develop which earlier would have taken place in the story topic. I think that's why I assumed everyone commenting on the chapter had actually read it. My bad. I shall have to consider whether Clueless Camping ought to have BDSM warnings for a few selected chapters. I don't think it rates a tag so far.
  12. Bold and italics seem to work fine when I paste chapter text directly from Word. I always do the chapter notes and end notes with unformatted text (via Notepad) and add formatting afterwards.
  13. I have a recent Danish example with a word taken from English. To spot something in English means to see or find it (all of a sudden). Spot has now become a Danish verb too: Vi kan spotte det = We can spot it. Unfortunately, spotte already has a meaning in Danish: to taunt or demean somebody. But even the newspapers are only using spotte in the new sense, and when you ask Google Translate it only has spotte = spot. But when I see a headline like Læger på kursus: Skal lære at spotte børn udsat for overgreb I can't help thinking 'Why the Hell do doctors need a course in taunting abused kids?'
  14. Yep. we sure do, Kitt. And you're death on just and that. My pet peeves are also your / you're and their / there / they're. I'll admit to probably using past / passed wrong, but I still think 'They went past him' looks right.
  15. Tillykke med fødselsdagen !! waving Danish birthday flags at you
  16. I wish - but no, it was me having a total black-out. But it must have been convincing, since none of you called me on it.
  17. LOL, I think the lawyer in you popped up here. But you're right of course, privacy rules must be upheld, even among boyfriends. We'll have to see how Nelson handles the situation.
  18. I like black briefs too, so we're in complete agreement. And jocks don't seem to be that popular here (or in Europe), I've certainly never been with a guy who wore one (or used one myself). But then I prefer the nerdy guys to jocks. Yeah, Lit had a good point, and you do too about the strong bond. Somehow I must manage to get Eric out of the potential mess. Selv tak, kære ven.
  19. Yes, Eric did display some Rob-like tendencies here, didn't he? More on this in the next chapter. Glad you had fun reading, I had fun writing it.
  20. Yes, sort of, right? Not that my tiny cliff hanger compares to yours.
  21. Such clever reasoning, maybe you should add 'Sleuth in Purple' to your title. But you didn't catch the huge mistake I've suddenly realized about this chapter. Maria is Eric's friend, not Nelson's. Excuse me, while I try and save this mess with a fast edit.
  22. LOL, drought, you're absolutely right. About the too sweet thing, I mean - not the hanging around LL. Though I admit, it's sort of fun to see the reactions to my tiny cliffie. Surely it doesn't compare to the ones LL and Gary subject us to now and then.
  23. You're right, we haven't seen any serious trouble even though there was the Prom invitation drama a few chapters back. That was quickly resolved, but we'll have to see how this potential conflict plays out. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter.
  24. You're welcome, Drew. I had a lot of fun doing the dialogue of this chapter, and your quote was one of my favorites too.
  25. He, he, yes I know, sorry about that (not). We need a bit of spice to balance all the sugar, right? Glad you enjoyed it, and I always treasure a Well done from you. It felt right to return to Maria, who was introduced as Eric's close friend at the beginning of the story, but hasn't featured much since then. I'm pleased the dynamic worked. Uhm, damn, it should have been Maria-Eric dynamic. well, it is now after some desperate editing.
