Faeries Anonymous yet at the same time it's also quite serious and the work Garin does is truly admirable. I hope Alvin can become his partner in the effort to help those dislocated beings - and of course they seem mutually attracted too, which is great. I certainly wouldn't mind reading more FA stories - they remind me of Robin's Profylaxis story (but not so dark as that one). The faun was hilarious, and I can't belive he was called mr. Tumnus.

Wow Val, what a marvelous story. I think Matthew's parents were wrong about not telling him of his background, but I guess he found out the hard way. His uncle and aunt may have 'accepted' him, but they are not caring or kind, even if they do make an effort at times. I don't blame him for wanting to stay with his markwarden family even if he hadn't met his dream friend. Hopefully he and Isiah can become allies in defying the bad members of the community who for all their connection to and protection of the waldgeister apparently are failing to understand their nature. Or was it only the christowarden who attacked Isiah? Did they get punish by the waldgeister for beating up the boy? I can understand why you ended the story where you did, but I really wish for more. It would be great to see this story fleshed out to a longer novel.

What a fantastic story, Adi. Once again humans pay for the folly of Gods. I'm so with those 'superior' beings for not listening to the Patriarch but chosing to believe that power hungry female. But I loved the whole concept of the two courts and the fact everyone were pretty much bisexual or gay. I also liked the loyalty of his two mothers who knew what was the right thing to do. I wonder if the females fell on the men and bit them at the meeting place once the influenc of the Gods was gone? I shall have to hope the two young men will be able to be together at some point.

I suggest reading Sasha's Daddy Issues before Trade Deals. Both are great fun. On to the next stories.

Aaaaaaarghhhh I want to shake Jamie's mother for being a self-centered ignorant ninny. But at least he knows how to deal with her, and she probably does love him in her own way. Love Blaine and the way he adores Jamie and asks him to move in at the perfect moment. I bet that tie became his favorite - even if he can't wear it in polite company for fear of them both getting uncontrollably horny.

I'm glad I read this one after the first story about Anubis. Such a cool idea to include Tut in the story. I saw the exhbition of his tomb in London several years ago. Awesome. I love the idea he became the lover of the God of Death. And Set got the fright of his life and I bet he never bothers Anubis agan.

Ohh, I like this. Egyptian Gods are awesome and Anubis is one of my favorites together with Horus. The crocodile god was cool, and I kept laughing about the god of wisdom trying to find someone to teach. Hopefully the pretty (but silly) blue boy will keep him occupied. The encounter between Anubis and the High Priest was hilarious, but at least they were both happy by the end of it. Althogether a delightful story.

Poor Cia, I hope you get better soon (so your eyes become uncrossed) It took me a while to see it - your brain knows what it's meant to be. I can't say anything about the story, it was too sad for me.

OK, so the big game changers are pretty obvious here - the unexpected arrival of the hunter, the dicovery of pure silver as the lode metal for detecting shifters and of copper as the neutralizing metal. But there were actually a few other game changers too: Tobyn saying he was ready for the next bonding step and their talk about wanting kids (are you setting us up for them finding orphaned shifter kids?), Warren being a valuable addition to the pack above and beyond being Adelin's mate. Warren and Kellar both represent the fresh eyes the pack needed to deal with the double whammy of hunters and malaise - and they have made Tobyn and Elinor (and the rest) look at their situation wiht new eyes. I wonder what will happen when Miss Sybil meets Warren for the first time? And of course Kellar is seeing his brother with fresh eyes all the time now. Perfect matches - of course the mates are that, but also copper balancing silver out. But another perfect match is Kellar's healer outlook combined with Warren's mechanical bent. He grasps the idea of a copper ring - a closed circuit - immediately, just like he understood how the mated pairs provide energy for the pack. They are destined brother of mind it seems - and let's not forget it was Warren who triggered Kellar's shift, the game changer which began this story.

At least Harry is getting quite a few good friends out of this - as well as sex experience of course. One day he should throw a party and invite all of them. Maybe at his wedding, if he succeds at last.

I agree with droughtquake, and for once Rob is much too hard on homself about losng control. I hope he chenged shorts after he came home, or Nicola or Sure will ask why he's wearing unfamiliar and too small shorts. Now that would be embarrassing to explain.

Why, that was positively Dickensian: Christmas past, now and future. And he is comforted and can have a better future. Lovely story, Cole.

That was a nice visit, and I actually recall seing a movie that feature the blue-skinned shapeshifter. December 3rd is 'around Christmas' in my book, so I wouldn't blame St.John for reading the letter right away. He seems in a fairly mellow mood, in spite of recent happenings, so fingers crossed that nothing bad happens.

Somehow I missed this story. We celebrate Christmae Eve too, so this was quite familiar, even though we didn't have the hidden tree or Das Kristkind tradition. My favorite gifts were books.

I seem to recall reading a Chris meets James tale... goes away to poke around in old stories... wait, that's cheating never mind, good story even though the poor elf broke his leg.

The correct answer to Jack is: "A pedophile molested your brother, so you think all gay men are like that? That's like saying: someone raped my sister, so all straight men are rapists. Or a black dude stole my car, so all black men are thieves. Sexist profiling is as bad as racist profiling. But just because you're a bigoted idiot, I won't think badly of your friends here." Of course, no teen would be able to express the above, and particularly not in a stressful situation, so I think Rob did the best he could.

I like the fact none of them have made a bg deal about the bed-wetting in front of Bradley. Many years ago there was a survey done in Denmark which showed that children who wet the bed often had psychological problems and were socially isolated. But it also showed that the psychological problems were not the cause of the bedwetting (as had been thought before), which was in fact often due to a lack of a specific hormone or there was a physical reason. No, the anxiety etc was caused by the bedwetting, because it was considered shameful. The kids didn't want to have sleep-overs or go on school trips, due to the problem. But if the parents didn't blame the kids and gave them ways to cope (like wearing a night-nappy, so they wouldn't wake up in a wet bed), then there were less psychological problems for the kids. So I hope the doctor they see on Monday is aware of this knowledge and will act accordingly and not fill them with mumbo-jumbo about it being caused by the trauma of loosing his dad. I'm glad Lisa's mum asked her, so they know Brad did it before the accident too. The doctor would probably have asked, and then they'd feel silly not knowing.
