  1. Ohh, I hadn't seen that coming ! Wow, I can understand why he hesitates, but kudos to Dan for supporting Mark and seeing the silver lining of him moving to Toronto. Elaine needs to be given a good talking to, and I hope Bob will keep her in line. Perhaps Mark should make it a requirement that she stays away from him from now on. At least there isn't a whole batch of lovers which can fall out of the closet, but I wonder what Mark will say about Carl. Surely he can simply say he's never had a relationship before Dan, because he was hung up on an unrequited love for a straight guy. Nobody needs to know anything else.
  2. Aww, thanks for the feature, Cia - and for the answer to my grammar question. Oh, and to comicfan for a prompt which inspired me to take up the challenge of Rob & Co again.
  3. That was fun, but now I want to see a picture of a mistletoe ball as opposed to a simple twig of mistletoe. I wondered if the groaning he heard was due to something else than account books? On the other hand if they were still at the kissing under the mistletoe stage, my naughty thoughts may be wrong.
  4. Thanks, LL, it was a nice suprise to mee too how I suddenly got inspited by a current prompt. I love how well you understand Rob, maybe it's because he reminds you of Jenson in your own story Crave? And 'equally exasperated and grateful' may be the best description of Eric's feelings so far. Rob may fantasize about some no-strings-attached fun at the Prom, but he's clever enough to see the pitfall in this case. Even if Trevor is even more aware of the risk.
  5. Thanks, dugh, now I have the same image stuck in my head. I may have to find a way to use that. ;yes: Although if and when we eventually arrive at Prom night I hope Nelson will keep Eric too busy to needed propmting or think of anything else.
  6. Thanks, GC, your fast review was a nice surprise too, I hadn't even sent you a chapter alert. I can easily imagine you laughing and giving me a virtual high five for the entertainment value. I almost didn't include the affirmation at the end, so it's interesting you find it superfluous. Makes me happy because that means I have shown how they feel already. Yep, Rob will have fun yanking a number of chains from now on.
  7. Thank you, Gary, it's a great treat to have you point out the portraying of special honesty and love, since that is your force too. I'm also glad everyone thinks the talk waas fun, then I succeded in my mission.
  8. Thanks, Drew I thought you might like the imp-boy idea. What a compliment, that certainly made my day. I guess most stories are about relationships in one way or another, so it's nice to know I'm doing well. Rob and Eric interaction is one of the joys of this story, writing or reading.
  9. Thanks, Rex, I'm glad you liked the interplay, it was fun to write.

    Chapter 38

Good to see Will in some nice, calm interaction with the important memers of the family. Even Brad feels good about this.
  11. Just make us feckless authors feel bad for not being all organised and such, eh...
  12. A joint Cupid/Guardian Angel/Imp story Now why didn't I think of that? Such a marvelous idea, droughtquake I can just imagine the outrage on Imp's face if a 'stupid Cupid' popped in and tried to shoot him with a silver arrow. And Angel might throw a hissy fit at any Guardian trying to intervene in their A.I. mission. Please may I borrow a Cupid, Aditus?
  13. I tried the short story approach once (with a prompt) and ended up with another ongoing incomplete story. But I've managed two contest short stories. Having the end in sight is something I ought to learn too. Oh, and Grame, which character from Leopards Leap are you thinking of, and what were the alternatives? If you want to reply in the story topic that's fine with me.
  14. Such sad stories, yet there was a ray of light, of hope and of love in each of them.
  15. “I think it is time for you and I to have a little talk.” Rob turned around to grin at his brother, who had walked into his room with a quick rap on the open door. Eric closed it behind him and strode over to perch on the bed next to the older teen. “Of course, bro. Any time you want; but tell me first, did you have a good time last night?” “None of your business,” Eric growled. “That’s not what you told Mom.” Rob pretended to be puzzled, but when Eric punched his leg, he started laughing. “

    Chapter 22

Denise and Thomas are crazy to think they can get away with this. Shane's protector will hunt them down and cut them to pieces - and I don't mean literally, he's too clever for that. Why hasn't anyone told him yet?
  17. The recommendation in Denmark is to use a (Nordmann) fir, rinse the branches with water and let the tree dry somewhere warm, and only take it inside for Christmas Eve and remove it the next day. Of course, that's expensive - a lot of money for a very short use of a real tree.
  18. I can see Litlover has covered most of the fairy tale stuff, but I'd like to add one thing: The way Warren has changed and become someone Kellar can appreciate and like is truly amazing. He never expected that, and nor did we. It's a miracle or as you say The Stuff of Fairy Tales. From Warren's point of view the whole earth mate business and meeting Adelin must feel like he's in a dream or high. Not drug induced but like a fairy tale with a HEA in sight - he even uses the metaphor of finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The All in of the chapter note has several meanings too: Once Kellar has talked to Warren (and after teasing him a bit) he does go all in with welcoming his brother as family. He lets him have time with Adelin, he does his best to reassure him he will be welcome in the pack, he stops to see Denver at Warren's request, and of course most telling of all: he agrees they are true brothers from now on. On a side note, Tobyn is all in about seeking out other packs and of course finding Tilly's mate - and chasing anyone flirting with Kellar away. Of course, Warren is even more all in: with becoming Kellar's brother, Tilly and Tobyn's brother-in-law, a useful pack member, a good employee for Denver, a reformed character, staying away from drugs, and of course most of all with being Adelin's earth mate and protecting her, loving her and caring for her. For the first time in his life Warren has people who trust in him, who want him for himself, and I bet this second chance feels like the stuff of fairy tales too. I'm all in for Warren to help with dealing with the hunters, the fact he is a human may come in very handy, if the hunters can somehow detect shifters (and I had this thought the first time Kellar explained about the Reznicks).
  19. that's sad was it a spruce or a fir?
  20. Hmm, well that's an excuse I suppose, but what exactly is he allergic to? The tree itself? Does it mean he can't go walking in the Swedish forests?
  21. Tillykke med fødselsdagen ! Frantic waving of Danish birthday flags And to celebrate on of my favorite EPIC interactions: Frozen Scandinavia (SATW comiv)
  22. I remember reading Brideshead Revisited many years ago, but I can't say I really identified with anyone.
  23. Dearest dragon, we're the ones who are sorry, for you having to face such devasting news. You have every right to cry out at the unfairness of it all. We'll be here for you as much as you need and want, never hesitate to post or PM if your virtual friends can be of use or support.
  24. Sigh, why does he hate himself for getting comforted by Bobby? He needs to talk to someone and they were best friends once. Even if they can never be more than that, what's wrong with being held and loved and cared for? I hope Bobby is too clever to give him pity, cause St. John would hate that, but I think Bobby needs to give comfort as much as Johnny needs to be OK with being held and feeling safe. We all need to feel safe and shouldn't be ashamed of it. Intense chapter, and it may be a pivotal one, unless Pyro shuts himself away again.
