Both men have scars on the inside as well as the outside, but they have rescued each other in the best way. They want the same future and I have no doubt they'll work their way towards happy domestic bliss. Once Coop gets hold of his money they can really get into business. I'm hoping their ranch hands will be men like them who want nothing more than a quiet life. And they may need loyal cowboys to keep Coop's vengeful daddy at bay.

This story shows the danger of assuming and sterotyping. Rory was so busy feeling ignored and self-righteous anger he never noticed poor Clint was shy and tongue-tied and unable to look at him without longing filling his eyes. We know there're good reasons why Rory fears the worst, but I immediately noticed when Benoit said he thought there was somethig else behind Clint's behavior and unhappiness. Once Rory got past the judging and Clint got past his lack of confidence, they sure got on like a truck on fire. I'm glad they managed to come to an understanding and I for one shall warm myself with thoughts of them snuggling up in front of a fire for three days.

The Legend of Treehaven Woods
Timothy M. commented on Valkyrie's story in 2016 - Winter - Rewind: Pre-2016 Themes
I'm thrilled to hear you have more stories planned, and I would certainly like to read Isaish and Avid's story. I hope we also learn what happens when Matthew announces his intention of staying with his markwarden family. About the Danish in my stories I'd like to point out, that you do NOT have to scroll down to read the translations. I always make sure that the content is clear from the context, even if I don't do it by exact translation in the text. The foot notes are only there for those readers who want to know exactly what was said, so they don't have to use Babelfish or Google Translate. So there ! On the other hand I do apologize and for not getting anything written for a long time. Maybe over the holidays - and while you wait, there are all these great Anthology and Christmas stories to read. -
It was nice reading this again, Caz, I liked the details you added, they made the story flow even more smoothly. I laughed at Lee and Carl's Dad tapping on the window. Sad about Lee, but if Martin was buying stuff in Lee's name, he was a jerk anyway.

Faeries Anonymous
Timothy M. commented on Valkyrie's story in 2016 - Winter - Rewind: Pre-2016 Themes
Of course I do: Schmetterling is German for butterfly. A warning about Prophylaxis: there is some really bad stuff half way though the current amount of chapters - but I think you'll love the web site, and that comes a few chapters in. -
Door#23 - Cozy Christmas Socks
Timothy M. commented on Aditus's story chapter in Door#23 - Cozy Christmas Socks
Lovely to revisit Jonah and Ren and it's nice to see Ren let Jonah take the lead. They are good together. Merry Christmas, Aditus. -
For a short while I wondered if he had fallen asleep in his chair and had a wonderful dream which would end with his neighbor finding him dead the next morning. But I'm glad it was all real, although I'm not at all fond of surprise parties. At least he now knows who to leave his house to.

Pantheon Character Reference
Timothy M. commented on Sasha Distan's story chapter in Pantheon Character Reference
Does this mean we will get more Egyptian God stories? -
If Ivan stays away from alcohol and they both keep up the councelling, they may have a chance. But if they fail, it would be totally awful for both of them. Yet, the rewards of fixing the broken parts mutually are hard to deny.

Faeries Anonymous yet at the same time it's also quite serious and the work Garin does is truly admirable. I hope Alvin can become his partner in the effort to help those dislocated beings - and of course they seem mutually attracted too, which is great. I certainly wouldn't mind reading more FA stories - they remind me of Robin's Profylaxis story (but not so dark as that one). The faun was hilarious, and I can't belive he was called mr. Tumnus.

The Legend of Treehaven Woods
Timothy M. commented on Valkyrie's story chapter in The Legend of Treehaven Woods
Wow Val, what a marvelous story. I think Matthew's parents were wrong about not telling him of his background, but I guess he found out the hard way. His uncle and aunt may have 'accepted' him, but they are not caring or kind, even if they do make an effort at times. I don't blame him for wanting to stay with his markwarden family even if he hadn't met his dream friend. Hopefully he and Isiah can become allies in defying the bad members of the community who for all their connection to and protection of the waldgeister apparently are failing to understand their nature. Or was it only the christowarden who attacked Isiah? Did they get punish by the waldgeister for beating up the boy? I can understand why you ended the story where you did, but I really wish for more. It would be great to see this story fleshed out to a longer novel. -
What a fantastic story, Adi. Once again humans pay for the folly of Gods. I'm so with those 'superior' beings for not listening to the Patriarch but chosing to believe that power hungry female. But I loved the whole concept of the two courts and the fact everyone were pretty much bisexual or gay. I also liked the loyalty of his two mothers who knew what was the right thing to do. I wonder if the females fell on the men and bit them at the meeting place once the influenc of the Gods was gone? I shall have to hope the two young men will be able to be together at some point.

2016 Special Anthology: Rewind * Now Live *
Timothy M. commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I suggest reading Sasha's Daddy Issues before Trade Deals. Both are great fun. On to the next stories. -
Aaaaaaarghhhh I want to shake Jamie's mother for being a self-centered ignorant ninny. But at least he knows how to deal with her, and she probably does love him in her own way. Love Blaine and the way he adores Jamie and asks him to move in at the perfect moment. I bet that tie became his favorite - even if he can't wear it in polite company for fear of them both getting uncontrollably horny.

I'm glad I read this one after the first story about Anubis. Such a cool idea to include Tut in the story. I saw the exhbition of his tomb in London several years ago. Awesome. I love the idea he became the lover of the God of Death. And Set got the fright of his life and I bet he never bothers Anubis agan.
-
Ohh, I like this. Egyptian Gods are awesome and Anubis is one of my favorites together with Horus. The crocodile god was cool, and I kept laughing about the god of wisdom trying to find someone to teach. Hopefully the pretty (but silly) blue boy will keep him occupied. The encounter between Anubis and the High Priest was hilarious, but at least they were both happy by the end of it. Althogether a delightful story.

Chapter 11: Trapped in History
Timothy M. commented on AC Benus's story chapter in Chapter 11: Trapped in History
So now we have the answer to several important questions. How did Monks fiancée die? The horrifing image of those policemen riding innocent people down made my blood run cold. and then to have him almost relive the event in a slightly different way. But this time the woman of his heart rescued the girl and Monk saved both of them. What a relief! As reward he is free to admit his tender feelings towards Elizabeth and she returns them in such measure even a small girl can see it. We also know where Mr Jordan got his inspiration for Barr's Christmas feat - although we do not yet know how. But our two heroes are on their way to the exchange ball to carry out their daring plan of rescuing the other set of lovers. Oh, and I loved the awesome drawings of the Veiled Prophet parade in your story topic. It help me picture the floats as I read this chapter. -
Signature Excerpt December Signature Excerpt: Alex's Legacy By Valkyrie
Timothy M. commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Poor Cia, I hope you get better soon (so your eyes become uncrossed) It took me a while to see it - your brain knows what it's meant to be. I can't say anything about the story, it was too sad for me.- 12 comments

Chapter 32 Game Changer
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 32 Game Changer
OK, so the big game changers are pretty obvious here - the unexpected arrival of the hunter, the dicovery of pure silver as the lode metal for detecting shifters and of copper as the neutralizing metal. But there were actually a few other game changers too: Tobyn saying he was ready for the next bonding step and their talk about wanting kids (are you setting us up for them finding orphaned shifter kids?), Warren being a valuable addition to the pack above and beyond being Adelin's mate. Warren and Kellar both represent the fresh eyes the pack needed to deal with the double whammy of hunters and malaise - and they have made Tobyn and Elinor (and the rest) look at their situation wiht new eyes. I wonder what will happen when Miss Sybil meets Warren for the first time? And of course Kellar is seeing his brother with fresh eyes all the time now. Perfect matches - of course the mates are that, but also copper balancing silver out. But another perfect match is Kellar's healer outlook combined with Warren's mechanical bent. He grasps the idea of a copper ring - a closed circuit - immediately, just like he understood how the mated pairs provide energy for the pack. They are destined brother of mind it seems - and let's not forget it was Warren who triggered Kellar's shift, the game changer which began this story. -
At least Harry is getting quite a few good friends out of this - as well as sex experience of course. One day he should throw a party and invite all of them. Maybe at his wedding, if he succeds at last.

Chapter 55 Practice Makes Perfect
Timothy M. commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 55 Practice Makes Perfect
I agree with droughtquake, and for once Rob is much too hard on homself about losng control. I hope he chenged shorts after he came home, or Nicola or Sure will ask why he's wearing unfamiliar and too small shorts. Now that would be embarrassing to explain. -
Chapter 10: Some Secondhand Tennyson
Timothy M. commented on AC Benus's story chapter in Chapter 10: Some Secondhand Tennyson
With the descriptions of all the useless boys and girls in the city it's a wonder there are any like Elizabeth to be found. I hope she and Monk will get the reward we sense is developing, for helping Felix and Hampden escape. I liked the plan of sending them to another city, and I wanted to hug Monk for using the Tennyson example to tell them he approved of their love. -
Why, that was positively Dickensian: Christmas past, now and future. And he is comforted and can have a better future. Lovely story, Cole.

Ah, now we learn why the kids are picked up and put in the House. It's the money of course. It will be even more fun to see the escape take place under the very eyes of the crafty bully. But what about all the other inmates?
