I'm glad you added the missing chapters here. The ending was sad, but realistic, and it held out some hope too. Rob has a chance to deal with his issues, especially if he went to stay with the gay couple his mom knows. Though, I'm surprised she didn't go with him. Hopefully, he'll go to art school in a place where there are no stupid expectations of how gay people act. I think Trevor was being too hard on Justin. He was honest and up front with Rob, and he had no chance of working out what the problem was. if Rob had said "I can't ask you out yet, but it would really hurt me, if you dated someone else" Justin might have held off. If Rob had asked Justin to visit him so they could spend time together and get to know each other, Justin would have done so rather than date Dan. So i hope Justin learns not to blame himself for Rob's breakdown. Maybe one day, they'll meet again and have a mature talk without the drama. I completely get Justin. I have worked hard to learn how to interact socially, to learn the rules. Being with a lot of people is tiring, and I dislike anything new or surprises. At least, today more people know what Aspergers and autism is, and what it means.

I'm glad the poor twins finally got rescued. Multiple matings are in sight.

I didn't know that was the English name, until I looked it up. I was going to give the scientific name Lonicera periclymenum (or if planted it could be Lonicera caprifolium). The Danish name is gedeblad (which means goat leaf), a somewhat less romantic appelation.

Maybe suggest the stories are posted twice a week, eg Mondays and Fridays. But then there might be authors who prefer one day over the other.

I liked that the antho stories are spaced out. Gives more time to focus on every story, rather than rushing through them.

Just an ordinary guy trying to make his life work and doing his best for his husband and kids. One of the everyday heroes, with issues and quirks, but fundamentally decent.

I'm glad Gary also thinks Barclay is Guardian returned, but even if he isn't, I'm glad James is in touch with his emotions again and has found someone, who may give him another chance of happiness. And he can also look forward to finding Alain again in a future life. A most unusual and intrigueing story.

Tommy clearly nursed a grievance over not achieving the same success as Josh and rather than accept his lack of talent, he decided to blame Patrick. Getting revenge was probably on his mind and the molesting accusation was his way of doing it. Patrick realised someone had twisted and ruined a young boy, but that understanding does not offer much comfort when his whole life was ruined. At least he was vindicated, and a good man decided to help him, someone with enough reputation to sway worried mums. Hopefully, there will be a loving relationship as well as owner-trainer partnership.

Chapter 137 If the Shoe Doesn't Fit
Timothy M. commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 137 If the Shoe Doesn't Fit
I thought Robbie was clever to get grounded, it's a good way to avoid Conner for a while. And I'm glad he once more told Don exactly what he thinks of him. Even if Don does plant fake drug evidence, Robbie can simply take a blood test to show he's not using. And they would have tested Nathan at the hospital, but of course someone may have forced him to take it as the motel. -
Oh, I'm sure many Danish teens are quite awful too, and we also have a small percentage of guys from 'different cultural backgrounds' who tend to consider girls as whores, if they are not under strict social control and veiled like their sisters. Ha, ha, your reference to the SATW reminded me of this comic : https://satwcomic.com/costume-party

If that's a nice high school conversation, all my prejudices have been confirmed. Fair enough, and I did realize you used to episode to distract Drew from his bad mood, rather than to be nasty to Haylee. It just felt a little off, after I'd gotten a positive impression of her.

Aawwww, they held hands and Jeff kissed Simon goodnight. And no, Simon, a friendly kiss on the cheek is NOT the same as a kiss on the mouth. I hope Nicki saw that and can tell you the difference. I'm very glad they had a good time at the meeting and will go again. But how will they fit Vee into the car as well ?
-
You get the credit as author for convincing us to care about your characters. And I meant 'not getting the hint' of course - I've edited the comment.
-
Well, Simon, if you don't react positively to Jeff's attempts to show you he's interested in you, then you can't blame him for dialing back to being a friend for now. But that's OK, you can work on the friendship for now, and come back to the possibility of romance when you're more confident and don't have the distraction of your dad being a bastard and your mom a moody and selfish girl.
-
Oh, I'm not blaming Simon for not getting the hint or daring to believe Jeff is interested in him. but we can still be sad about it.
-
I certainly agree that Jeff is more important as a good friend right now, even if he'd also be a great boyfriend for Simon. I like Jeff for calling Simon to ask how he is, and for making the effort to explain the issue with parents not understanding. His offer to come over was for his own sake too, and I wish Simon had been more clear about how he would have loved a visit, even if he refused the offer. If would haven been both polite and true.

Brokeback Mountain isn't a movie meant for young guys trying to get an idea about what it means to be gay. It's a movie made for straight people (particularly their moms) to make them understand how bad homophobia is, and how the expectations of society and 'traditional' values can destroy love and the lives of gay guys. Simon's objections are valid and interesting, and it was good he felt confident enough to express them. But the most important part of going to the movie was sittting next to Jeff. Sadly, his reaction to Jeff's closeness and the hand holding did not lead to what we - and probably Jeff - hoped.

I liked that Simon encouraged Freddie before the presentation, and Jeff once again showed how much he cares about Simon.
-
So Rosie's answer to the hate of bigots and the pressure of society is to wish her son would conform to the norms of stupid people? Very sad and selfish, but very realistic too. Not what Simon needed right now, but hopefully he'll tell his friends and get their support in dealing with this.
-
Freddie is a true friend, and it speaks well of Simon that he's able to recognize it and see how different it was with his old 'friends'.
-
Simon shouldn't feel bad about not being able to understand people and their motivations. He's lucky to have Jeff and Nicky to explain, and he's clever enough to listen and understand what they tell him. Nicky is such a good person, explaining the behavior of Simon's dad, but not excusing it, and showing Simon the problems are not his fault. If he can hold on to this understanding, it should help him deal with his self-blaming and his mother's silly behavior. We also see his growing maturity in rejecting Max as not longer attractive, but I'm hoping he's wrong about Jeff not being interested.
-
I actually approve of Haylee, she's sensible and relaxed. Considering the kind of ex-girlfriends we often see in stories - the 'vindictive bitch', the 'religious bigot', the 'heartbroken nagger' etc - it's very nice to have her tell Drew Body parts don't matter if you love someone or not. So what if she falls in and out of love and likes sex. That does not give them any right to call her 'hooor', and I find it rather offensive that Alessia starts the name calling by labeling Haylee 'whore'. I like Keith, he's really cool. Look at the way he's already facing the fact he may have to live in the house to help his partner with his kids.

I guess I have to update the list of Will's sexual partners, but you'll have to tell me what to add apart from the frotting.
