  1. You get the credit as author for convincing us to care about your characters. And I meant 'not getting the hint' of course - I've edited the comment.
  2. Well, Simon, if you don't react positively to Jeff's attempts to show you he's interested in you, then you can't blame him for dialing back to being a friend for now. But that's OK, you can work on the friendship for now, and come back to the possibility of romance when you're more confident and don't have the distraction of your dad being a bastard and your mom a moody and selfish girl.
  3. Oh, I'm not blaming Simon for not getting the hint or daring to believe Jeff is interested in him. but we can still be sad about it.
  4. I certainly agree that Jeff is more important as a good friend right now, even if he'd also be a great boyfriend for Simon. I like Jeff for calling Simon to ask how he is, and for making the effort to explain the issue with parents not understanding. His offer to come over was for his own sake too, and I wish Simon had been more clear about how he would have loved a visit, even if he refused the offer. If would haven been both polite and true.
  5. Brokeback Mountain isn't a movie meant for young guys trying to get an idea about what it means to be gay. It's a movie made for straight people (particularly their moms) to make them understand how bad homophobia is, and how the expectations of society and 'traditional' values can destroy love and the lives of gay guys. Simon's objections are valid and interesting, and it was good he felt confident enough to express them. But the most important part of going to the movie was sittting next to Jeff. Sadly, his reaction to Jeff's closeness and the hand holding did not lead to what we - and probably Jeff - hoped.
  6. I liked that Simon encouraged Freddie before the presentation, and Jeff once again showed how much he cares about Simon.
  7. So Rosie's answer to the hate of bigots and the pressure of society is to wish her son would conform to the norms of stupid people? Very sad and selfish, but very realistic too. Not what Simon needed right now, but hopefully he'll tell his friends and get their support in dealing with this.
  8. Freddie is a true friend, and it speaks well of Simon that he's able to recognize it and see how different it was with his old 'friends'.
  9. Simon shouldn't feel bad about not being able to understand people and their motivations. He's lucky to have Jeff and Nicky to explain, and he's clever enough to listen and understand what they tell him. Nicky is such a good person, explaining the behavior of Simon's dad, but not excusing it, and showing Simon the problems are not his fault. If he can hold on to this understanding, it should help him deal with his self-blaming and his mother's silly behavior. We also see his growing maturity in rejecting Max as not longer attractive, but I'm hoping he's wrong about Jeff not being interested.
  10. I guess I have to update the list of Will's sexual partners, but you'll have to tell me what to add apart from the frotting.

    Chapter 30

I'm glad Granger educated von Rajalin about how to please your partner, to the benefit of von Galen. He will need all his skills and cleverness in the next few days to avoid capture.
  12. The calm center is called the eye of the hurricane. Does this mean the storm cannot see the havoc it creates, but only the blue sky of deceptive stillness? There is no reasoning with the storm, only picking up the pieces afterward and learning the warning signs in order to avoid future onslaughts if possible.
  13. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has editor eyes. In Danish I also have it for commas, but in English I only spot the most glaring mistakes. The finer details totally elude me, and I'm even more grateful for my editors.
  14. Hmm, so Marie meets a guy who looks like Will but is straight and attracted to her. I hope Ryan is ready to move on to someone else. I wonder if Colin will distract Will from his issues with Zack. Brad needs to get his shit together about Jake. I'm so glad we're soon done with the book with JJ in focus.
  15. Good, and the attention of society should be on helping and protecting you and others like you.
  16. Of course, and I'm still working from home and maintaining social distance. But on the other hand being overly concerned without good reason is detrimental to one's mental health. And I want focus to be on the elderly, who are in real danger. We have had those sad cases where Covid-19 got into care homes, and at the beginning there was not enough focus on PPE for the carers. This went even more wrong in Sweden, sad to say. Instead of worrying about young healthy people and children, we need to worry about those who are vulnerable. Like you are, Albert, right ?
  17. TGIF - this has been a long, tiring week. So let me focus on something positive: Denmark hasn't yet seen any increase in Covid-19 cases in spite of opening up more and more. They're not quite sure why, but suspect people being mostly outdoors when in groups or exercising may be a factor. Also, there has been a study of the 524 deaths out of almost 10,000 cases of infection in Denmark. In all but 24 cases, the patients who died had other known serious health problems (the last 24 may also have had health issues, but not enough to require treatment, so no data). Most of them were also older than 60. So if you're old but healthy (no heart, lung, or kidney problems, and no diabetes), you still have a good chance of surviving infection. That covers my mum and most of the other old relatives I have.

    Chapter 29

I think von Galen would be much too clingy and obvious in his infatuation, and Granger knoews from experience, how bad that would be. I'm glad Weston gave him a nice goodbye. I'm worried about Genarro having an infectious disease.
  19. Yeah, still waiting for Zef's story as possible Alpha mate, and for Martan to meet Kani again.

    Chapter 2

Does he have fast healing, since he didn't have to deal with the arm wound ? That was when I suspected Jimmy was more than human. He obviously takes his duty seriously.

    Chapter 1

Peering inside the driver’s side wide open door, the overhead light dimly showcased the empty interior. Local radio banter overlapped the car’s annoying seatbelt chime. (I'll change this comment to something else, if the matter is resolved.)
  22. The best part of your herd is they all wear kilts. But we don't poach on the kilted guys, right ? Val's herd is a different matter...
  23. Do you have the American Thor or the proper Scandinavian Thor ? https://satwcomic.com/nordic-halloween
  24. Could also be @Puppilull, @Thorn Wilde and I visiting Val (because she has the best herd of hot guys ). I liked the comment which said 'under-bed monsters are larger in USA, so the beds need to have more space underneath to accomodate them. Now I understand ! I think it was in our Guardian Angel story.
  25. I managed it for all of April, but then the Danish farmers started to complain about drought.
