You gentlemen are getting a tad ahead of yourselves with statements of Alex's family being cash poor. While there was a lot of speculation when we first met Alex as JP was researching their family archives, nothing was actually stated one way or the other. The child may very well be ME's way to get control of her trust fund, an attempt to latch onto nobility, or even just dumb luck that she has decided to take advantage of. In any case to announce things at dinner like that in front of JJ when it was pretty obvious he and Alex were together was cold. I hope one of the family has the sense to follow him up to his room!

We are speaking about a woman who allowed herself to be beaten to a pulp to further a scheme of her mothers. I think saying something on these lines just to stir the shit at a family dinner that was otherwise going too well so far would not be out of the question.

Trevor is a cousin to Wade and got tied up in Elizabeth and ME's schemes back in the dealings with Carl Haupt.

Judging from the way Alex did not react prior to the announcement that he was the father, I would say he was blindsided as well. We do not know IF he failed to use contraception or if said contraception failed, or if ME chose to deceive him about the use of contraception. It would not be the first time a woman lied about being on the pill, or even used a straight pin to make sure a condom failed. I think it is way too soon to be condemning Alex for stupidity regarding contraception. I'll be the first to holler "What were you thinking" if they failed to use any sort of protection, but till we know that he gets the benefit of the doubt.

He does, however, like to piss people off.

It seems l am a little late to the party. Apparently the story posted right after I left the house for the afternoon. One word comes to mind. WOW When you decide to finally write down what you are thinking and feeling you don't mess around! The characters come to life in the pages, the emotions run deep, and you have made me feel every stab of pain both men are dealing with. I wanted to slap the girl silly when she tried to interrupt the conversation, and found myself shouting at my computer screen that Michael should follow Kendall and go somewhere private to continue to talk. Don't you DARE consider not finishing this story! You do not live THAT far north of me that I can't come up there and slap you silly. I bet I could find reinforcements to join me too! Dughlas lives less than 2 hours from here.

I made plenty.” It's about time she decided to stop sitting by and let Wally's ego screw things up more and more! My mom was like that - would coast along nodding at the stupidity my dad came up with on some subjects till he finally stepped over some line we could never see and then watch out when Mom went on the warpath!

That's the thing about rumors - people don't need "proof" to believe or disbelieve them. And it does matter because should those rumors resurface during his college career it would affect both how he is treated on the college gridiron and his chances at the NFL. Remember - this is all taking place long before the first openly gay man got drafted this past year, and as I recall, that man hasn't made a whole lot of progress beyond "getting drafted". I can't help but wonder if that is all due to a need to develop his talent more or if his sexuality is playing a role.

Will being at the meeting was a good idea of for no other reason than Zach had a safe ride home after, rather than trying to drive a hot little car while thoroughly upset. Seriously, just his being there and dealing with Wally's animosity head on shows that he does really care for Zach. There are not a lot of 16/17 year old guys who would put up with that sort of nonsense and not walk away. It's important for Zach to see that caring other places than the bedroom at this point. I can also see that the fact Zach lives with Frank and Isadore may be another point of contention with Wally. I can see the councilor wanting to at least talk to them on the phone, if not have them come out for a sit down with Wally and Clara. I can easily see Wally blaming Frank for "replacing" him in Zach's life. And then there is the whole power play thing about how Zach will support himself should Wally and Clara disown him. Do they really think Brad would leave them in charge of the trust money should they do that, rather than set Zach up with an allowance and replacing them as trustees? He has done it once already with Gathan, when it became obvious he would not be fair.

There is only one thing I think you need to add to chapter one. A discussion forum and a link to it.

Nice outline with potential, but I would have liked to see it go somewhere.

Ten years I could have dealt with Mark! This one lasted much much shorter - it died right after the one year warranty did.
