Again I get busy a couple days and miss a bunch of new arrivals! Welcome one and all. GA anonymous meets every afternoon in the chat room, but I must warn you - no one ever seems interested in ending our addictions!

Odd - suddenly there are member titles not on the "member title list" that have been applied to some of us. Do you really think calling someone a "chatty member" is encouraging their participation? Perhaps its regional, but where I was raised calling someone "chatty" is pretty much telling them they should shut up!

what time is it at at your place and what you'd probably be doing

And just how analytically will your year 9's get? Cataloging preservatives could be tedious! When the initial posting went up i was sound asleep ( 2:45 am EDT). Now? 1:33 pm EDT and making plans to go to the horse auction this evening - someone take my checkbook away! -
Because you are a prolific little bugger who's muse doesn' know when to keep his mouth shut?

The only problem I see with your logic rjo is that Brad is not limited to the current cast of characters. Mark can and probably will introduce more people who very well could catch Brads interest at some time in the future. If not in this particular work, then there is always the next book in the CAP saga.

I agree, the teacher was being extremely callous, but it does happen. I remember very clearly a teacher talking about one girls unplanned pregnancy in high school in front of the class, telling her that he was not going to cut her any slack because of her condition. He did eventually lose his job over it. It did have the mentioned effect of having the entire school become aware of the situation in record time, but since she was trying to keep it quiet till summer break...

I can't wait to see what happens when Brad handles the teacher! I know how I would have reacted if a teacher had been so ill behaved with my daughter, and I am not prone to over reacting the way Brad has been lately. I have to agree, its nice to see Brad and Will actually talking to each other instead of at each other. As usual, you evoke all the strong emotions. Thank you.

Hey - I am not the one came up with the deity theory. I just tried to integrate the possibilities!
-
So...A higher deity came to Earth from outer space, was reincarnated from a lower life form, descended from dinosaurs and evolved through Monkeys/Apes to man?

Your score: 53 Gender: Female Age range: 50-59 Not the best but not the worst either. LOL always was an average Jane!

While I do enjoy writing prompt responses, I don't consider myself an author at all. I think editing is my little corner of GA. After reading something in WST forum i would call myself primarily a technical editor with shades of beta occasionally.

Corey will see to it I am sure Lisa. He is a very protective guy! We might even see him again in the future if my little voice isn't just teasing me!
-
Unfortunately it happens tho Wayne. Here's to a time when 12 year olds can be kids again.
-
Dang - now I need to go back and update the family honeysuckle bush! It started as a family tree but got a little out of hand.

The Ravine Corey finished wrapping the little girl’s leg in newspaper and duct tape. Wasn’t the most ideal splint in the world, but it would do till the rescue squad could meet them at the trailhead. He hated when someone in his group managed to get hurt on one of these hikes. It was bad enough when the powers that be forced them to take a bunch of green kids hiking in the woods every fall. There were never enough adult hands actually had some outdoor common se

Remember gang, Brad - and therefore Will- are not genetically part of the Crampton/Shulters. Brad's "father of record" may be Billy Shulter, but his biological father was Carmichael. That makes the Will/Marie liaison incest in name only. That is acceptable even by Puritan standards. And did i miss an affair somewhere? Ella is Gaithan's sister, yes? A Hayes. Unless her mom was keeping company behind the drunkards back?

Must be a regional thing Ron. Used to be called pizza pie all the time around here, as well as tomato pie. Altho lately it has just become pizza.

lol way to go. I know how fun loving my Norwegian in-laws can be - I can only imagine how crazy things could get with that sort of freedom to play!

I had more than that number in my graduating class from high school! Afraid my "moves" aren't what one would call dramatic. Moved 4 miles away from mom's when I got married, then when i bought a house a few years later it was less than a mile from her! Did cross the town line - but came back!
-
Wow - excellent. You did a wonderful job conveying just how hard it is to lose someone you care about.
-
Zombie's right - in this day and age that could start real shooting! Doesn't take much to push someone over the line any more.

Ok - the easier question first. B1ue, were the summer kids technically homeless between some move out date and move in weekend? I can just picture the chaos if they moved from one dorm room to another the same weekend the others were moving in. Someone moving out of a room you are trying to move into at the same time offers all sorts of opportunity for lost boxes. I know everyone deserves the benifit of the doubt, but in my mind she is not Elizabeth Dansfield, grieving ex wife and mother, she has become Elizabitch, conniving, scheming woman out to regain something she feels should be hers but she lost in the divorce. I have to give Wade tons of credit. For her to have shown up after being specifically told she was not welcome and there was no room was not only presumptuous, it was a calculatedly rude statement that she felt she belonged while the others did not. I am not sure i could have handled the situation as graciously as Wade did. I think i would have had security, which i am sure the senator had on the property given his position, escort her out unceremoniously. Give Cody a little credit here guys. The first we see of him at Escorial is when he wakes Brad and climbs into bed with him, and everyone seems ready to condemn him for not asking about Maddy. We don't know that he didn't, we just know he did not ask Brad. He is a youngish guy, with no experience with children, little contact with his daughter, and most people in that position would assume a one year old too young to understand any of what is happening. He wouldn't know how to deal with her in any case, where as he DOES know how to deal with Brad. Remember, Cody always seemed to have some sixth sense when it came to people he cares about, and Brad falls into that category. I wasn't surprised at all at Isadore as choice to raise Maddy. What i was surprised at was that Janine felt she could make that choice without feeling Cody should be involved at all. Legally he is the only one with a right to decide where Maddy will be for the foreseeable future. While the courts will take Janine's wishes into consideration should it get that far, unless i am mistaken Cody's wishes will be paramount. Tim? that's your department isn't it? At any rate, I cant see Cody becoming "Mr Mom" and having Maddy in a carrier as he is doing his thing on the LA/Hollywood scene, but I do see him stepping up and having not only an opinion, but a wish to be involved. Remember, when Janine became pregnant it was intentional, and while Cody was sort of an add in after the threesome with Brad and Robbie, the deal always was that the father would step back and Janine was going to raise the baby with her partner. I had always thought it good that Brad was NOT the father as I can NOT see him sitting back and not getting involved, no matter what he had said that night. Cody honored that original agreement to step back, but Janine's death, along with her partners, changes the entire dynamic. I think the saying "It takes a village to raise a child" is going to end up being more than a metaphor here. I think the village will be called Escorial and just about everyone who has been considered as a guardian for Maddy is going to be included. The poor child is going to be so over parented she will be lucky to have her first date by her 30th birthday!
-
Hawaii could get interesting with both Kai and Jeff there. Somehow Isadore as the next in line to care for Maddy is no surprise, except that it should have occurred to Janine that Cody is the only one who truly has a legal claim and a moral duty to see to the child's care and upbringing. I can see this becoming a "village to raise the child" sort of thing. That poor baby is going to be so over parented she will be lucky to have her first date by her 30th birthday! Very well done Mark. You are starting to dig into the way things are going to be for a long while to come. For a lot of people 9-11 was a removed tragedy, something they felt bad over but then turned quickly to tracking down the perpetrators. A wave of patriotism was a healing method for so many. For the families of those that died that day it goes so much further. The gang has so much more to deal with before any of them can even think about the who's and why's of the attack. You are showing us the inside story now - a glimpse of what it was like for those people who lost loved ones. Oh, and I agree with Kody. I think ED is spending the "truce time" laying her plans. Thank you.
