I guess that went as well as expected. Rayne better get here soon before someone gets really hurt.
-
Just wondering how Rayne fits into this mix. Lots of places for things to go horribly wrong.

Well isn’t that a fine kettle of fish he’s gotten himself into.
-
He is so sleazy he’ll try to put all the blame on Edith. She was the face they saw @ the hospital so they already think she’s an evil b***h and she was caught trying to skip the country.

Chase is so reprehensible there are no words!!
-
He may be a horny teenager but from Julie’s blushing I think he will be striking out in that department 🥺

Tough chapter to read. We all like to believe that home is a sanctuary but for some it’s hell. Edith and Chase think that they have the upper hand and think bullying, intimidation and fear will control him, but they don’t realize through therapy he has seen them for what they are and is no longer cowed by them. They have taught him well and he is fighting them with their own weapons and now karma is coming back to bite them. Hopefully Tyson will find his true family because this is the furthest away from a real family you can get.

Markus is such a great example of the thread that connects us all, even when we are unaware of it. Tads’ gift to his friends has become so much more so that even though he is gone his goodness and positive influence lives on. As we all struggle through the climate of hate and negativity we have to hold on to the thought that good people can still quietly Influence others and make a difference in another persons life. Love the commitment ceremony of Stanley and Kent. While I don’t necessarily understand their choices (as well as Triads), if it works for them who am I to judge. We all have to find our own path to happiness. Now I have to go stock up on tissues...

You’ve captured the raw emotions beautifully, I remember how incredibly devastated I felt after my husband died, yet life went on and the painful recollections have become cherished memories . Nate and Chris are so lucky to have each other, each having strength when the other needed it. Tad’s legacy lives on ❤️ In his book. Are we going to find out what his last urgent project was?

“Tad Coleman died loving and knowing he was loved” What more can a man ask for than this. ❤️

Unfortunately as gay men we sometimes see ourselves as being flawed and damaged goods so we internalize the rejection and punish ourselves because that’s what we think we really deserve anyway. Hoping that Marcus gets the support he needs before it’s too late.

I stayed and watched my husband die of cancer 4 years ago. The night that we anticipated he might die his Mother and sisters just up and left because they "just couldn't do it anymore" In spite of Chris' assertion that he couldn't stand to see Tad give up, I could never leave the one I loved to die no matter what. Nate's reaction is a pleasant surprise and shows a real depth of character.

Sometimes we should be "strongly encouraged" to unburden ourselves. I stand by Amara because he was wise enough to know that if he didn't push they never would have opened up. Now they can start healing. How is everyone going to deal with dear Grandmama, I anticipate quite a dramatic scene.

As a basic security measure should Logan not have checked the last minute arrival of a brief case? Hope I am just being paranoid!

Beautiful in it's simplicity. thank you

In not sure why Charles thinks that if the boys are at odds it's always something Wren has done? Caleb has subtly changed the rules they both accepted ( that of fuckbuddies). While Wren definitely has issues, Caleb bears some responsibility for the tension. They both need to be more open with each other. They need to be strong for when the Uncles step up their harassment.

Both boys are so busy protecting their own hearts they're in danger of losing each other's. I think you should sit them both down and give them a good talking to, after all they are your boys :)

"He slid his hand into a pocket and adjusted things" Not a typical reaction of a straight man to another man. I think that says it all.

"Years of confusion, of denied curiosity, of trying to figure out what was missing in his life had led him to this moment. There was no more soul searching, only the soul-deep recognition that he had arrived. Finally." I clearly remember the first time I had m/m sex. I was in my early forties and had to deal with severe religious hang ups, two marriages and hiding deep in the closet. These same thoughts went through my mind, though I don't think my thoughts were that eloquent, lol. The emotions you captured in this chapter were those I felt then too. Thanks for bringing up such wonderful memories.

"Doe Eyes" what a unique nick name! Love it. It goes to show that good things can come wrapped in unattractive packages, good that Marcus can see this, lots of us don't.

I have enjoyed the journey you have taken us on. You are a master story teller! I would love to read more.

I am looking forward to your changes to this story. I also loved the original. Religion has had a huge impact on my life so I can certainly identify with a person who struggles to reconcile God and same sex attraction.
-
If things don't work out between them I'll give Derrick my number. I'll make the sacrifice and call him my boyfriend!
-
Definitely! Love when these stories come together!!

Cindy has to stop being a bully. The harder you push a teen the harder they push back. Ultimatums are totally ineffective. Good on Jackson for standing up to her. Hope Luke can find a way to stand up to her as well. The guys deserve to have some fun. She obviously has no clue who Luke and Jackson are anymore in spite of what she thinks. And horse back riding is sure to lead the boys into a life of crime.
