That was LBO, not me I am not sure about this one. I will have to re-read the interview and give it some thought.

I may or may not have remembered that the prompt blog is resuming this week... So let's embrace the oops in our lives and see what writing treasures come from them. A special thanks to my BFF's daughter for supplying #179, although thankfully this did not happen on our trip last weekend. And another thank you to our own LBO for inspiring #180. PT Prompt #179 You're on a trip with two of your friends and arrive at the hotel late at night. You're exhausted and the only thing you want to do is fall right into bed. When you open the door to your room, you are dismayed to discover that not only is there one bed instead of the two there's supposed to be, but that bed is occupied and the occupant refuses to leave. What happens next? PT Prompt #180 All your life you've wanted to get a tattoo and finally worked up the courage to get one. You hand the tattoo artist the picture you want - a blue bear chugging a can of Pepsi. When the tattoo artist finishes, they proudly show you their creation - a green zombie dripping goo and body parts. What is your reaction? Please include the prompt number either in your story/chapter description or title to help readers who would like to search for specific prompts. Also, please remember that stories less than one thousand words must be posted as part of a collection If you check the subgenre 'prompt' in your story tags, then people/readers can find everything here: https://gayauthors.org/stories/browse/subgenre/prompt/

I'm one of those weirdos who doesn't mind daylight savings time. I had no trick or treaters this year and didn't bother buying any candy that I would just put in the break area at work.

2023 Anthology - Leap of Faith *Wrap Up*
Valkyrie commented on Valkyrie's blog entry in Gay Authors News
It's been a crazy fall for me, but once I get through this weekend things should settle down for a bit. I hope to start reading and commenting on all the stories next week -
Harbinger The sky ahead is pitch black, blacker than midnight, despite it being mid-afternoon. The night sky at least has some illumination to provide relief from the inky oppression. This is a wall of darkness – a curtain promising sound and fury. Four horsemen riding obsidian surf. Behind is the polar opposite. Bright sunshine glints in my rearview mirror, highlighting the rainbow of fall foliage crowning the trees. It’s a paradise of colors; a b

A poem about a drive home from work that leads to revelations and a leap of faith.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in making the 2023 GA Anthology - Leap of Faith, a success! We had seventeen stories submitted by GA authors, and be sure to check out the links below for a bonus poetry submission by me. If you haven't checked out the anthology yet, now is a great time! Please leave our authors a reaction, comment, and/or review to let them know how much we appreciate them. Stay tuned in the next few weeks for announcements regarding future GA writing events. Putting together the GA anthology is very much a team effort. It was the last of the stories, although I would definitely be sure to check out the wrap-up blog this Thursday

The majority of my stories are short stories. I love the short story form to explore character sketches, different writing styles, changing POV, and other areas I want to work or questions I want to explore the answers to. I would encourage you to go ahead and start posting your short stories if you are comfortable sharing them. A lot of what I write has been inspired by prompts. I have a whole box of prompt materials to draw inspiration from. Thanks to everyone who gave a shout-out to the Prompt Team. Fridays are Prompt Day at GA, so keep an eye out for our weekly prompt blog. The blog is currently on hold while we wrap up this year's anthology, but they will resume on November 10th. In the meantime, you can check out previous prompt blogs here:

I'll wear kitty ears and my kitty Halloween shirt at work. I don't get trick or treaters anymore, so I'll celebrate at home by watching Halloween movies

The anthology continues this week with five more great stories for your reading pleasure! Check them out and leave the authors a reaction, comment, and/or review.

I remember that song!

The story's status has now been changed to 'complete' so you should be able to leave a review now.

It's time for our next batch of stories for this year's anthology! Thanks to all who have read, commented, and reviewed our first releases. Let's show these authors our same support! Now start reading

Hopefully today I will have time to read some of this week's stories
-
Nah... I look forward to reading the weekly wrap-up every week

For this year's anthology, I challenged authors to match the turnout we had for last year's anthology, and while we didn't quite get there, I am thrilled to announce we still had a super turnout! So stay tuned over the next three weeks for some stellar writing, and be sure to leave a reaction, comment, and/or review to show anthology participants your appreciation. Check out the links below for our first round of Leap of Faith!

Part of the gaps are my fault. I haven't been a very quick editor lately due to a lot of personal things going on.

Yup. Scared the bejesus out of me Same here. I was watching a recorded program on my DVR while I was doing paperwork, and it shut it off. The TV one scared me more than the phone!
