A lot of pet shops, especially in my area, now offer rescue animals vs selling the ones from puppy mills. I have to avoid seeing the cats when I buy my cat food/litter, otherwise I want to take them all home. Thanks for reading and for your comments.

Thank you so much for your kind words. As I mentioned in other comments, I've been working with adults with developmental disabilities for 11 years now and they teach me as much as I teach them. Their capacity for love and forgiveness is truly amazing. I am not planning on adding to this story, but I can't rule out future stories featuring this population. I'm so thrilled at the response to this story. I had no idea it would touch so many people when I wrote it. Thank you

I think this captured a teenage Halloween party well. The social triangles and pranks. I agree that using the boy's murder as the source of a joke was in poor taste, but teenagers don't always have the best judgment. I hope Diego and Cairo see more of each other, as I am sure they will.

This was very cute. I was reminded of playing with the Ouija board when I was a kid. I could picture them bickering perfectly. I also loved the play on words/phrases. Drogar's color changes were cute, too. Nice job, HH!

I loved this story. It was very well-written and had me on the edge of my seat during the sacrifice scene. The play on names was brilliant. I loved the ending. Well done, HH!

Very true about Seth, but it's amazing what people can be blind to. As for John being uncharacteristically bold in the second half... well, his goal was 'to be wild and free'. I'd say he met his goal quite well. Thanks for your comments.
