  1. We'll have to agree to disagree, Tim. I'm not saying it's a common occurrence, because it is rare, but influenza can be very serious to young, healthy people too. I went to the ER a couple of years ago due to the flu. It was the sickest I've ever been in my life, and an experience I don't care to repeat. I live alone and was too weak and dizzy to even sit up, let along walk. Thankfully I was in touch with my mom, who came and drove me to the ER. Yes, meningitis can have the same symptoms, but I wanted something more common. Thanks for your thoughts. Sorry to hear about the young man who passed away. I'm glad they found the other person in time.
  2. Thanks, Cole. I'm glad you liked it!
  3. Happy Birthday, my dear friend! I hope your day is as awesome as you are! Tell your Dragon to spoil you rotten Here's a wolf cake for you!
  4. Welcome to the red, Northie! This was a nice prompt. You built an interesting world and I was glad to see him get his comeuppance at the end. Nice job!
  5. Thank you I appreciate the review.
  6. Thanks, Dugh. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  7. I'm so sorry about your wife, Jeff. The flu is definitely not something to be dismissed. Thanks so much for reading and leaving a review. I'm glad I could provide a nice break from your Thanksgiving chaos.
  8. lol You said the same exact thing the first time you read it. The flu can be very serious and deadly, even to otherwise healthy people, so it's not an implausible situation. I'm glad you liked it anyway. Thanks for the review.
  9. I'm glad it was memorable enough that people remembered reading it the first time around. Thanks for reading it again. I'm glad you liked it.
  10. Yes, I originally wrote this in 2014 as two different prompt responses. I cleaned them up and added a bit, since I thought it made a nice stand-alone story. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I'm glad you still liked it.
  11. Today was going to suck. It’s not like I was a big fan of Thanksgiving to begin with, but this year was even suckier than usual. I had recently moved to start my dream job and didn’t know too many people in the area. My family was about a thousand miles away and since I was perpetually single, I had no one to share the day with. My boss found out I was planning on spending the day alone and insisted that I come spend the day with her and her family. Turn left on Sunshine Avenue in one half
  12. Rob is not a fan of Thanksgiving or holidays in general. His boss invites him to Thanksgiving dinner, where he meets someone who might just change his mind about the holidays.
  13. Happy Belated Birthday! I hope you had an awesome day! Here's a Burger King crown to help you celebrate! :D
  14. Happy Thanksgiving to all my GA friends and family! I am so thankful to be a part of this site.

I'm with Droughtquake. It breaks my heart knowing that this is partially autobiographical. The consolation is that Lev is now loved and safe. This was very well-written, Tim.
  18. Happy Birthday! I hope you had a great day! :D :D
  19. I loved this story. Mann takes us on one hell of a roller coaster ride, but it's well worth it. I highly recommend this story! And I love the banner. Very cool!
  20. Pepsi should run Zombie Dad ads during TWD. LOL Good idea, LBO Thanks for the review. I'm glad you liked it. I can't promise any more chapters. It feels done for now. Thanks so much for your support of Zombie Dad!

    Lost and Found

Thank you for such a thoughtful review, William. I do think that Ben and Jake were in love with Richard and Lee...maybe not to the extent that they loved each other, but it is possible to love more than one person. Ben didn't "just move on". It was several years after Jake's disappearance, and one-two years after he was declared officially dead. Everyone is different with how they grieve. Some people might never get over the loss, while others are lucky enough to find love again. In this case, that love wasn't strong enough to survive the return of the first love. I don't think Jake can be faulted too much for marrying and having children. He didn't know about Ben or his prior life--he didn't remember it. This is a messy story for sure, and I love how it provoked such different reactions from readers. I appreciate and can see your point of view, even if I do disagree. I don't think there are any right or wrong answers in this story--just people trying to navigate their way through an impossible situation. Thanks again for the great review. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.
