We dropped from a high of 72 on Tues to the low 30s today. It's currently snowing, although I'll be surprised if it accumulates much. They said an inch or two, but we'll see. I had an interesting start to my afternoon... I went to heat up my lunch, and it's a good thing I chose that particular time because I looked out my kitchen window and saw a lady sitting on the sidewalk across the street from my house. It's an odd thing to do, especially given the cold temps. Then I saw her try to stand up and she couldn't. So I went out to ask if she needed help. She had fallen and had a bad knee, so couldn't get up. Her dog wasn't too keen on my help, but thankfully was all bark and no bite I tried helping her up, but that didn't work, so I went and got a chair from my kitchen and that did the trick. She was ok once she was standing and said she didn't live too far away, so was ok to walk home. She thanked me profusely. I'm just glad she's ok Since it's April 1st, it's the start of National Poetry Writing Month. The challenge is to write a poem a day for the month of April. Poem #1 is complete I'll start posting them weekly next week

Good lord! Rick and Gus are both adults, but they're treated worse than most teenagers! Zoltan is just as bad as Heinrich Sr. I could smack Rick upside the head for even considering that Zoltan's words are true. Gus will find a way back to Rick. I think meeting his old high school friend is fortuitous. If Zoltan makes good on his threats, she'll be an invaluable resource.

*shrugs* Maybe they put the dressing on the side and it never occurred to him to put it on. Now I wonder if he's going to start putting Ranch on everything. Acorns dipped in Ranch... forest food just won't be the same!

Ranch and vinaigrette pools are hard to find in the forest.

Oops! So Cyn has discovered salad dressing... I like my dressing with a little salad.

I like how Shea's wolf changed with the change in title. Although it had to break his heart that Cyn compared him to Eike. Cyn will be a permanent part of the pack in no time, I'm sure Great chapter!

Great interview! I started reading this story at the beginning of the month, but then forgot to go back to it. I'll have to finish it, since I've enjoyed what I've read so far.

I enjoyed this a lot, and I was glad to see a continuation of this universe. Zebron got a sobering reality check and was lucky to have an out... maybe. I hope we get to read more about him and the others.

Even though the anthology deadline has been extended, it's never too early to send stories to the Proof Team! There are plenty of themes to choose from, so if you haven't already, then start writing

The US has extended its federal tax deadline to May 17th. I know NY state has followed suit, as I'm sure other states have done too. I had mine done at the beginning of this month by a financial service. I've used them for a couple of years now and like it better than TurboTax. I think it was especially important to have a professional do them this year due to all the changes last year. I don't normally stress about getting them done, but this year I did because I wasn't sure I'd get a refund. I thought I'd end up owing, but thankfully I didn't.

Vets are probably better at giving shots than most doctors.

Sorry, I should have been clearer in my comment. It's the fact that it's been a year that's bringing back the memories and feelings. Seeing FB memories and such. Your poem is the perfect snapshot of the times.

It's hard for me to grasp that it's been a whole year since this started. It's bringing back the memories of the fear and anxiety over the unknown. A year ago, I would have never guessed I'd still be furloughed and my life still be paused. As someone who lives alone, I think you're spot on about the isolation being worse, people in abusive relationships notwithstanding. I'm also hoping for some semblance of normality soon.

So now we know Rita's plans. I hope Rick is able to drum up opposition and save College Hill. Rick is becoming open to the possibility of coming out. I think he will soon... at least to Jerry. Jerry's not going to let him keep that hickey a secret much longer Things are really ramping up. I can't wait to see what happens next
