    Chapter 1

A great start to get us all riled up and into the story! I just want to cuddle the lonely cowboy and try to cheer him up a bit. I do love the research you do for your stories to create the setting in words that immerse me in images of the Texas grasslands. Of course, it wouldn't be a kbois story without the renowned cliffhanger. However, did you really need to go with a life threatening cliffy to start? I mean it is a big, dramatic, dangerous jump from Reilly's OMG what will his bonded mate find out when Reilly is a he, not she? Then the build up of angst over Caleb's depression and struggle with his wolf? I'm not going to get my hopes very high, since I know you like to stretch out things like this a bit more! Stop snickering!!! I tell @Mrsgnomie she's not off the hook with her lame excuse for stalling on her story. You both have double teamed before! Love the story and the beginning. Fortunately, you're end of the book cliffhanger means that Caleb survives this encounter. Don't *itch I've spoiled your cliffhanger. All's fair in love and comment wars!

    Chapter 1

We all know you are when it comes to the plot. That means you are stirring things up by playing:
  3. @kbois, Considering how busy both you and @Mrsgnomie have been, I was all Shock and Awe to find that that you posted the first chapter in the new book! I am so looking forward this this. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  4. That's a great story! I love your approach to getting Max involved and curious. LOL!
  5. I forgot to add when a super sexy man is referenced, my mind immediately flashes to the image of Kage.
  6. I'm glad that Max is comfortable talking with you about school and hope he doesn't have a problem with his science partner. It is really great that he wants to help you pick and cook meals. It's a very valuable skill. Mom was a great cook but between work, home, and tutoring my dyslexic younger brother, had little time to teach me how to cook. I miss her cooking. I share your opinion about foster parents like the one you describe. I saw a lot of that when teaching. Sorry to hear how Max was treated. I bet he feels like he won the lottery after you and Morgan adopted him.
  7. Sorry @Cane23. You're right. I personally didn't like any of the Fae described and erased them from my memory in that story. That is why I overlooked that you used the word Fae.
  8. Hi Albert! I've been enjoying your comments on Bearpaw! Also, I enjoy the pics and songs you are currently sharing there. Thanks! Say Hi! to Steve for me.
  9. Great news! I loved teaching my fourth and fifth grade students science, and the experiments they got to do were the best way to learn. Their minds are still open and willing to try to explain the unexplainable. BTW, Max has great taste in food!
  10. Hi @Cane23, I'm not sure, but I think the hunk in the top right was identified as Kage when this was first posted. I'm sure @kbois will confirm or tell me I'm getting senile. 🤪

    It's called payback!

    Chapter 30 S1

Another winning chapter, Bill. The skinwalker event was well explained. The mountain lion attack was exciting and well written. As for the shaman's teaching methods and curriculum, as an educator I find it to be well structured and logical. He taught two predator forms before two prey forms which meant Mac had been able to shift to something more powerful when in danger. I don't think Mac has anything to overcome. He has learned to be wary when he shifts and is now wary about shifting too. To me, that means he will not be tempted to just shift for the fun of shifting. He will be cautious and not do as Devin did while in school with his noisy neighbors. I know he will feel it difficult to kill a deer, because of his empathy. That will be one of his biggest adjustments. Again that is a lesson for him. He has to balance the decisions of life and death each time he is challenged or attacked. The shaman is one wise dude!

    Chapter 2

You forgot to add that we are lovable, loyal, and enjoy laughing at your outrageous comments. @Phredd2, you are most welcome to join the Korner Krew if you want to really immerse yourself in @kbois world. The only requirement is the proforma snarky remark about kbois so she can pretend to be mad and send you to the Korner. Think of it as an initiation. The best benefit is that the Krew has popcorn and ringside seats for the snarkfest when @Mrsgnomie and kbois start feuding in the comments of each chapter. We also have a cheat sheet for beginners covering feet fetishes, coconuts, and cats.
  14. We're doing good. It's another lazy day, but I might be up to making some salad dressings later. How are you and your gang doing? How is Max doing in school after summer vacation?
  15. Coincidental? I get a little excited whenever Larkspur or the folks there get mentioned. I also love that Jubal enjoys/needs a smile on Lucus' face. As for Reid being creepy to me, it is because I feel both @FanLit and @84Mags are on the right track. Reid could be a great fellow, but I also think there's a good possibility that he will cause a lot of problems and/or hurt for Lucas and Jubal.
  16. You get that when you kill one of your "favorite characters" (and sexiest character, no matter what Mrs. G thinks about Caleb). I was like this for months after.
  17. It's been over a year since I read that story, but I also thought the same thing when reading this chapter. These two characters were like twin daughters of different mothers.
  18. Lucas had his hand on Jubal while they slept, but it didn't seem coincidental to me. Morey is a nice guy, and he seems to have learned a lot from Will Merrick when he visited Larkspur. Morey's way of doing business is very similar to the way Will runs his mill. Jubal was pleased he was offered a job, but Lucas was even more pleased when Jubal turned it down. Reid makes me feel creeped out. What he has said and the way he treats Lucas feels uncomfortable. Reid might be an OK guy and a good sheriff, but he also might cause some trouble in the future.
  19. Awesome! I'm off to reading it then going to bed, so I'll say goodnight all!

    Chapter 7 Castle

Happy Birthday @FanLit! May you have many, many, many more 39th birthdays. Thought I'd send you a birthday gift young lady. Hope you like candy! Don't open if there is a significant other around. (Can be exchanged if the gender is wrong.)
  21. Hi Al! All I can say is....oh...caulk the younger/older error to a senior moment. Want to bet which of the kids throws the biggest tantrum if Kyan doesn't contact Perry immediately?

    Blind Spot

Otis is still selflessly adorable, and I am happy that Hudson is there to love and protect him. Hudson and Jackie are in the sites of Watkins. Not good for either, but it could make Hudson's job difficult. Those two saved Jessie, but what's going to happen to the next "star" in Watkins' evil show? All of the kids working for Watkins and his boss are in danger. I do hope it doesn't take long to bring the entire operation down and stop what's happening to these kids.

    Chapter 9

Scott and Greg get set up and are already thinking of ways to invest in personal ideas as well as create business a opportunity for their new S-Corp. Great chapter.
  24. I can't say I'm happy with what is happening. Rusty wanting to grow up is OK, but he is still acting childish. I Love Zoey, but trying to get Matty hooked up with Jamie is a bad idea. The only one I like so far is August who knows what Rusty needs even when Rusty doesn't listen to her.

    Chapter 216

I love that Pierre is becoming more accepted and bonding with the other boys. I guess it's the power of Peanut Diplomacy. Silas is favored by the mermaids at fishing, but it is very evident that he is also favored by Armand. The fishing trip went well. I'm happy that Mark's mother got the chance to help out. Is she the first female to go on the boat with the boys? Looking forward to more about the Italian group's stay in the US.
