Pierre is a very sensitive child after all he has experienced. It is fortunate that Armand was able to find out what happened and quickly reassured Pierre that he was going to be adopted. It seems like the Home is going to have some menu additions with Angela and Pat around to keep the chefs there on their toes and at their stoves. I see the need for Colin to order some crepe machines in the near future. BTW, I have the same question as @weinerdog about Pat and her apartment. Although guards are familiar and not family, I'm surprised that they didn't know about Arrow/Armand. The mural was big news when the club opened.

Unfortunately, delivered. It was good, but not as good as homemade. 😪

I just love the way you stir up the pot @Danilo Syrtis!

Ahhhh! Make-up sex! I needed that almost as much as Kyan and Perry after the stress and angst of the past chapters. Thank you so much @Mrsgnomie! All the right things happened in the chapter. First, the interrupted signing of the contract means that Reid will stay long enough to meet Max. That's a match up I've been hoping to see. Max makes a great best friend and needs someone like Reid who loves kids and loves to have fun. The Kids Strike was successfully resolved and managed to get Kyan in action quickly. Kyan not only learned the lesson well from Jed's apology/confession but applied it perfectly to Gracie almost immediately. He also taught the lesson to Perry who we can all hope learns the lesson as well as Kyan did. Awesome and award winning chapter!

I also did not think Ty was gay and had a crush on Seth, although many of the comments agreed with @weinerdog's predictions. I do think that Ty would make an excellent boyfriend for Seth. It was telling Seth thinks of Ty as a safe refuge from the chaos that surrounds Seth. I am sure Craig still loves both Seth and Blake, and Blake loves Craig and Seth. They are all teenagers with a lot of hormone driven emotions. It will be interesting to see how Ty fits into the current mix. Will he be a catalyst for further chaos or an inhibitor that ends the chaos? Despite what Julie said about Ty, she seems hell bent to dig her hole to hell even deeper. I do like the new dynamic added by Ty in this chapter.

A great start to get us all riled up and into the story! I just want to cuddle the lonely cowboy and try to cheer him up a bit. I do love the research you do for your stories to create the setting in words that immerse me in images of the Texas grasslands. Of course, it wouldn't be a kbois story without the renowned cliffhanger. However, did you really need to go with a life threatening cliffy to start? I mean it is a big, dramatic, dangerous jump from Reilly's OMG what will his bonded mate find out when Reilly is a he, not she? Then the build up of angst over Caleb's depression and struggle with his wolf? I'm not going to get my hopes very high, since I know you like to stretch out things like this a bit more! Stop snickering!!! I tell @Mrsgnomie she's not off the hook with her lame excuse for stalling on her story. You both have double teamed before! Love the story and the beginning. Fortunately, you're end of the book cliffhanger means that Caleb survives this encounter. Don't *itch I've spoiled your cliffhanger. All's fair in love and comment wars!

@kbois, Considering how busy both you and @Mrsgnomie have been, I was all Shock and Awe to find that that you posted the first chapter in the new book! I am so looking forward this this. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

That's a great story! I love your approach to getting Max involved and curious. LOL!

I forgot to add when a super sexy man is referenced, my mind immediately flashes to the image of Kage.

I'm glad that Max is comfortable talking with you about school and hope he doesn't have a problem with his science partner. It is really great that he wants to help you pick and cook meals. It's a very valuable skill. Mom was a great cook but between work, home, and tutoring my dyslexic younger brother, had little time to teach me how to cook. I miss her cooking. I share your opinion about foster parents like the one you describe. I saw a lot of that when teaching. Sorry to hear how Max was treated. I bet he feels like he won the lottery after you and Morgan adopted him.

Sorry @Cane23. You're right. I personally didn't like any of the Fae described and erased them from my memory in that story. That is why I overlooked that you used the word Fae.

Hi Albert! I've been enjoying your comments on Bearpaw! Also, I enjoy the pics and songs you are currently sharing there. Thanks! Say Hi! to Steve for me.

Great news! I loved teaching my fourth and fifth grade students science, and the experiments they got to do were the best way to learn. Their minds are still open and willing to try to explain the unexplainable. BTW, Max has great taste in food!

Hi @Cane23, I'm not sure, but I think the hunk in the top right was identified as Kage when this was first posted. I'm sure @kbois will confirm or tell me I'm getting senile. 🤪

Another winning chapter, Bill. The skinwalker event was well explained. The mountain lion attack was exciting and well written. As for the shaman's teaching methods and curriculum, as an educator I find it to be well structured and logical. He taught two predator forms before two prey forms which meant Mac had been able to shift to something more powerful when in danger. I don't think Mac has anything to overcome. He has learned to be wary when he shifts and is now wary about shifting too. To me, that means he will not be tempted to just shift for the fun of shifting. He will be cautious and not do as Devin did while in school with his noisy neighbors. I know he will feel it difficult to kill a deer, because of his empathy. That will be one of his biggest adjustments. Again that is a lesson for him. He has to balance the decisions of life and death each time he is challenged or attacked. The shaman is one wise dude!

You forgot to add that we are lovable, loyal, and enjoy laughing at your outrageous comments. @Phredd2, you are most welcome to join the Korner Krew if you want to really immerse yourself in @kbois world. The only requirement is the proforma snarky remark about kbois so she can pretend to be mad and send you to the Korner. Think of it as an initiation. The best benefit is that the Krew has popcorn and ringside seats for the snarkfest when @Mrsgnomie and kbois start feuding in the comments of each chapter. We also have a cheat sheet for beginners covering feet fetishes, coconuts, and cats.

We're doing good. It's another lazy day, but I might be up to making some salad dressings later. How are you and your gang doing? How is Max doing in school after summer vacation?

Coincidental? I get a little excited whenever Larkspur or the folks there get mentioned. I also love that Jubal enjoys/needs a smile on Lucus' face. As for Reid being creepy to me, it is because I feel both @FanLit and @84Mags are on the right track. Reid could be a great fellow, but I also think there's a good possibility that he will cause a lot of problems and/or hurt for Lucas and Jubal.
