Mac is finding out the dangers he may face in a shifted form. I hope he does start to be more observant and cautious. The adventures and learning about animal behaviors in this chapter as well as the ones before it are fascinating. I look forward to future chapters that reveal more. I do think the incident with the archer is very important, since the next two animals, whitetail and mule deer, are both prey animals actively hunted on the reservation. I hope there was no one around as the four guys returned to the hohrahn. Seeing two naked young men enter the hohrahn followed by two naked older men could lead to interesting gossip.

Until You Become Nothing But A Dot
raven1 commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in Until You Become Nothing But A Dot
Hudson and Otis together are an interesting contrast. Their sexual encounter was very hot. I wonder why Otis likes the small, glass menagerie he collects. They could represent the value of small things or the insignificance of small things. They could also represent the strength of being since small glass objects resist being broken. Hudson immediately understands the danger that Jasper faces and reacts quickly to protect the fragile kid whose life is in danger. Jackie is a puzzle. He seems naive about what is happening around him. Does he know how evil the company he works for truly is? I suspect with Jasper missing, Watkins may focus on Otis as a replacement for Jasper. I hope Hudson has the skills to keep Otis really safe. -
One family secret down and how many more to come? I always thought the idea of vampires not being seen in mirrors was a bit of a stretch since you should be able to see their clothes and objects at least. So for now, I will defer making any opinions about Scott's status as something other than a human. I did find it interesting that Scott's family are naturalists, and also that Greg was able to quickly adjust to the idea. Chris referring to Scott as "Sir" however just reinforces my belief that Scott and his family are part of a ruling class that Chris and his family work for.

Blake and Seth feel like they and Craig are boyfriends is a nice thought. Reality may not live up to what they are feeling now. Blake is the lucky one so far in a safe and accepting home. Craig and Blake have much in common and I hope they will be able to help each other. Ty keeps checking to make sure Seth is OK. I wonder if his concern and friendship indicate that he wants something more than just a friendship with Seth. I am not hopeful for a reconciliation between Seth and his mom. She is too dysfunctional as a mother. She obviously has been the source of the chaos in Seth's life. She also created the monster, Stacy. I doubt she has the will, skill, or energy to fix Stacy enough to make it a home where Seth will feel safe, comfortable, and loved. She won't have anything left over to provide Seth with what he needs to heal. She is the villain who has poisoned both of her children's lives. It would take many more chapters to develop any redeeming value in her character. The same is true for Stacy, but as much as I hate Stacy, she is also a victim much like Craig. If Seth does decide to give his mom a chance, I hope it is with the understanding that Seth will remain with his aunt and uncle until Seth's mother fixes Stacy. Stacy really needs psychiatric help as well as discipline. I doubt whether 'Mom' can provide either of those. Whether or not they have 'blackmail' evidence, I still think Stacy is unhinged and will physically try to hurt Craig or Seth.

The Hawaiian vacation with four no filters on their mouths kids and Perry and Kyan's lack of discretion had already led to this conversation in the last chapter. I had a great laugh that it was Ava who wrested control from her father by her guileless announcement. I do love all the kids and my favorite changes with each chapter. Ava won this one!

Nice way to wake up. Kyan doesn't have any problem adjusting to his gay side sexuality. He seems to be very excited about exploring Perry's body and learning how to please Perry. The highs and lows for December are about 30 degrees Colder! That's more than just "much cooler"! Do you get a kickback from the Oregon Tourism Commission? Summers are awesome and I loved those months, but winter was what chased me away to the tropics. Kyan is oblivious to how Perry's family really feels. At least they will be a happy surprise for Kyan. I had a great belly laugh when Ava outed her father and uncle to the family. Of course, Jessica and Charlie will be in tears laughing at the beginning of the next chapter. Jed and Trudy will probably be smiling a lot. I wonder how long it will take Kyan and Perry to lift their jaws off the floor. Ava's comment stunned them.

I too feel that Pierre has abandonment issues. One thing that is not clear is who his father is. Was Christian his father, or a half-brother given the responsibility of raising Pierre? If Pierre is biologically related to either Christian or Arnaud, why does he only appear during the last visits Armand made? I do love the way Armand finds more and more ways to get healthy organic food without going to a supermarket. The money saved, supporting Ivan's farm, introducing new foods for everyone, and keeping it healthy is a win for everyone. I was not surprised that Armand got read the riot act by Elsie. It shows what a great mother she is! I suspect Armand might get some ribbing from others over the matter.

Thinking about Vincent and their relationship tells us a lot about what Jubal wants and needs in his life. Vincent taught him very well. We don't know as much about Lucas, but I think he too will provide the safety Jubal needs. Their early morning conversation was interesting as Lucas flirted with Jacob without shame or modesty. I suspect Jubal would find the confidence and openness of Lucas to be much like Vincent. Jubal is excited to be there to help Lucas. They both have similar goals of being good farmers. Lucas is inspired by Jubal's excitement to build and responds with excitement as they discuss the home and barn. It's good that Jubal has skills and attitudes that help Lucas overcome his own fears to build something together. As always your descriptions bring back memories for me. Whether a Craftsman house, a cabin, or a barn your words draw the images from my memory. I suspect that much of your knowledge comes from both experience and research. Love this chapter that brings Jubal and Lucas closer together.

We are OK. No real excitement so far this week. We were going to Burg Republic for hamburgers on Tuesday, but they were closed. That is a problem in a tourist town like Chiang Mai. Places that cater to tourists close once a week depending on their slowest day. We did find an excellent Japanese restaurant nearby. It was very authentic. We were the only non-Japanese customers. Fortunately, our server was Thai so it was easy to order. The TV was broadcasting a Japanese football game from a Japanese network. The big event of the week is tomorrow when our friend Bo will try to join us for dinner and drinks. He's had many health issues for the last three years and rarely gets out anymore. I like the idea of your family getting to visit your friend at the ranch. Hope you all have a great time.

That sucks big time! Keep fighting the system!

Good thinking Gary. Getting a good doctor is important. I did the same thing with my doctor.
-
Hi Gary! I had cataract surgery in both eyes last August/September. The worst I had of it was a lot of inconvenience for the four weeks it took to do one eye, then the next, and await the bandages to come off. The next four weeks were inconvenient because of follow-up care. There was no real pain involved. However, the results were amazing! The brownout of colors caused by cataracts was gone, forever. I could see things clearly I hadn't seen well since I was young. I only regretted that I hadn't done it sooner. Do take time to talk in-depth with the doctor about how you want your eyes to be corrected. I chose both eyes to have the same correction, so I still have depth perception. I also chose to keep them both farsighted and now use reading glasses. Good luck with the operation! I think you will enjoy the results.

Hi Albert! Have a great Tuesday.

Silas as a new addition seems to be in a bad state of health. I want to know how he got that way, and what help he will need to get better. Now he has a chance and Armand is probably going to think of what to do to help Silas. The kids are doing well, but the women from the New York Child Services seem focused on minute details of the home. At least Dr. Hamlin is focused on the children and seems to be pleased at what he sees. I think the women will try to make trouble, but don't see them winning this battle.

Good Evening Albert! How are you and Steve today? Hope your weekend was great.

Hey Dugh! Love the kilting stories. Hope you have a restful sleep in spite of the temptation to further activities when you get to bed. At least limit that activity to one for each of the eye candies you created. I do love the tales you so wonderfully told.

Try any of the Goosebump series by R L Stine, or Southpark. Southpark for holds the Guinness World Record for 'Most Swearing In Animated Series'. Also, Kenny got killed in every show.

Hey Page! You inspired me to add more to the list for Clo. Roald Dahl to start. Witches, BFG, James and the Giant Peach, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Mathilda were good books made into Movies. Katherine Paterson wrote some great stories also. The Great Gilly Hopkins, Bridge to Terabithia, and Jacob I Have Loved are all books that fit the description.

Payback for all the whining we have to endure!

I loved hiking in the mountains and forests when younger. It always impressed me when I came into an alpine meadow with millions of brightly colored spring wildflowers. The weather here is warm but still wet. October marks the end of the rainy season, so I hope for a lot of sunlight to replace the clouds and lightning soon. September is a great time to get started on the holiday.

David Copperfield and Oliver Twist are classic examples by Charles Dickens set in Victorian England. Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain and most of the young characters in the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan (fantasy) also fit. These are adult literature. There are some great examples in children's literature also. Let me know if this helps or if you need some from children's lit. Is the age level of the reader important to your class?

Hi Clo! Sounds like you had a great weekend. I love going to the beach with friends. Aod and I spent time with friends and are planning a camping trip soon with them. We are planning a lunch on Tuesday to firm up the plan. Other than that it was a slow weekend. Although warm, there were heavy rains and lightning storms all weekend. That meant some good light shows while protected inside the comfort of home. 😁

OF for Matty won't do Matty any good. I also think that it might remind Rusty of what happened to his parents when Roy did that. Look what happened when Maddox thought that happened with Jonathan and Rusty. Actually happening with Matty would be a very bad thing for Rusty and Matty. Rusty needs to be brought back from the brink now, not pushed over the brink.

Hi Spike! Hope you and Drew are enjoying your BL Whine Fest! Have fun and don't get too punch-drunk from all the things you keep throwing at each other.🤪
