This made me truly sad. Losing faith, hope.. That’s not Caleb’s path though, as much as he wanted to drink, I’m glad he saw the finality of it. I don’t think he’s ready to give up on finding Ethan yet. I wonder where Orpheus will say he was.

Really Cy, No hate but, Really!! Ethan.. I admire his fortitude. He may not/cannot best Orpheus, but I bet with how determined he is, he can outsmart him somehow.. He’s already come farther along than expected.. I can hope right..

I feel like this chapter was about a lot I’m not getting.. good thing the next is posted. Also, it means something that the pebble hurt him right? Off to find out.

Jake managed to make me like him with his spot on comments to Ethan, then he made me feel badly for him. I wish that he would have hope for his future as well. He said it like being a low life was the only way for him.

Liz.. Wha! Whaat! How? I mean I know how But what!! I had to read through all the comments to make sure it wasn’t just me that had missed something. Also Ethan is so eager, it worries me. -
I really enjoyed this chapter. Amusing and realistic.. I feel like I know these characters because of how well you have captured their voice.. I love that Kay’s family is so supportive. Great date, great coming out.. looking forward to more.

Well it looks like Jake has more people who care for him than he might have thought. The fact the Eddie said ‘they’ve’ been worried seems to indicate maybe the level of his drinking took a toll on the relationship and his friendships. Jake might not have realised it then, but he is seeing the light outside of his drinking. Eddie probably doesn’t love the person Jake was/is drinking, but he showed up for him so there’s that! (Maybe there’s more? Lol) I like that Jake looks at the blog counter, but doesn’t yet feel the need to be validated by it in order to continue, even when he thinks no one is reading. They probably are, and there’s maybe going to be that that one thing to connect a reader and then boom. Nice chapter Cole..

Another fantastic chapter tim.. I continue to love how Don and Louis are reconnecting and bringing joy and fun into their new normal.. Hmm, I think he is a drunk because he is predisposed to alcoholism and he has followed her pattern of problem solving. If alchohol wasn’t an easy get for him I’m betting he would still have some form of addiction, drug or otherwise. There is that co-dependency going on too, between mother and son. I wonder as Jake gets more clarity, if he will be able to separate from his mother to save himself. It’s like Nat’s pot. Get clean, or take care of his dark exterior and let the light inside shine. (Totally how i interpreted it)

Caleb’s guilt is wearing on him. you did a great job bringing me along with him. I agree with glennish that this will be as much for him as it will be for Ethan. I’m waiting to see how, and on whom the water from the canteen will be used. Nicely done Cynus.

Well, eggplants got nothing on cucumbers.. That was priceless. I can almost understand Liz’s hesitation...almost. I hope she gets it together soon. Jake, now there’s a surprise.. And of course when I had him firmly in the douche bag camp, he’ll probably be critical to helping Ethan and Liz.. Great chapter.
