  5. I feel obligated to see the movie (due to the time I've spent playing the game), but I'm sure I'm going to find it rather amusing. Best comment I've seen on it is, "This is so unreal. That dude just mounted while falling."

  7. I never know how much input I should give when reviewing things in a community setting. Most of the time I just list things off the top of my head, so just take everything I say with a grain of salt because really, I don't have the credentials to back up what I say other than the fact that I have read a fair amount . That and I'm reviewing this as if this was a first chapter of a book as a whole. What I like about the story so far is that the characters have a lot of unique elements among them. The extremely jaded warlock who would rather cling to a semblance of normal before more change ensues, the play on 'puppy love' werewolf that has the loyalty of man's best friend, and a vegan vampire. The only thing I'd like to point out about this is that it felt a little rushed. Rather than feeling of world building, this first chapter felt more like a chapter of introductions. Think of it like a bottle of really good wine vs a tray of shots of liquor - they both get the job done, but the latter is more for the end result rather than enjoying the ride. Nitty-gritty stuff: Dialogue. Mmmm - descriptive beats vs dialogue tags and commas vs periods. I don't really want to get into this because it's not really my place since I'm not an/your editor or whatnot, but I'm pointing it out because maybe no one else has pointed it out before. Whenever I used to write stuff online, I cherished critiques that would help me become a better writer. But as a reviewer, I noticed that some would see such as negative criticism instead. So this is all I'm going to mention on this unless you further inquire. Overall, I hope you continue because I think the story has potential. I do enjoy reading gay theme fantasy ebooks, but just like here, they aren't overly abundant. Usually I'm more partial towards magic(k) and dragons, but this take on werewolves and vampires is intriguing enough to pursue further.

    Wow

This is like a real life version of those online driving games where you have to get the car from the starting parking spot and out of the parking lot (off the screen) without hitting anything... except in this there are no flying grocery carts, random skateboarders, or speeding ferraris. So, this was basically level one with no time limit and they still managed to ding that maroon car haha. I also find it amusing that the person in the minivan watched that go on for a full minute before getting that man to try and help navigate. Also kudos to that black car on getting out before also getting tapped lol.

  19. And then shortly after, another fellow country singer came out shortly as well! Billy Gilman, born 1988, was someone I listened to in my teen years ("One Voice" topping that country Billboard chart) mostly because he was just a few months younger than me and I thought he was adorable haha.
  20. :D Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear MikieEeEeEeEeEe. Happy Birthday to you!!! (and many moooooooooooooore) :D ~Much happiness and all that good stuff~
  21. The timing of this song, his inflections with the lyrics, and the tonal quality of the piano... all just snowballed together and kicked me in the gut when I first heard this. Dare ya to listen to this song in a quiet environment (or headphones on) and with your eyes closed. All the feels.
  22. Birthday Happiness K.C. ~ Have Fun Times
  23. Loved the Seasons series as well - have read them multiples times over. "The Cranberry Hush" by Ben Monopoli - my favorite book of his. By JF Smith: "Latakia" - all the feels "The Last Day of Summer" - this is actually a spin off of FOtFotE. "Falling Off the Face of the Earth" - kind of a slow burn, but worth reading if you want insight into Cory's back story from "The Last Day of Summer". "Given the Circumstances" by Brad Vance "Tigers and Devils" by Sean Kennedy "Hot Head" by Damon Suede - this one's way more on the m/m romance side, but I had to add one. Plus, they're firefighters... On here I've been fond of Comicality and DomLuka (recommend Desert Dropping) so far. I've only really just started breaking into the stories on this site, but the stories I listed I've read at least twice each - they're not listed in any particular order. Enjoy
  24. :D Birthday Happiness :D May you be blessed with free drinks, or may drinks bless you with good times! Huzzah.
  25. I think all romance novels are love stories, but not all love stories are romance novels. For a romance novel, I expect the HEA. There doesn't need to be speculation for afterwards because everything was concluded and they got together. The end. Unless there's a continuation and they're once again thrown through hoops of fire, but I expect them to stay together. The end once again. The HEA is inherently indefinite because as far as we know as readers, their story has ended. My two cents anyways
