    Chapter 7

While reading this story, I find myself not so annoyed now when I doze off with shoes on.
  2. With me it's my blood chemistry, which seems unique.

    Chapter 1

    But you love us anyway.
  4. Readers should read Book One first for more understanding of characters and events. This continues our journey into this apocalyptic world where a small, jewel like gland gives those gifted with it or those who kill the gifted powers beyond comprehension. It's a violent and lawless world where the different groups mostly hate and distrust each other. Still, even in the darkest places families can thrive and family can be more than blood relations. Dozi and the family group she continues to grow from outcasts is as tightly knit and loving as any family unit. Join in the journey as we travel to an uncertain future. It's filled with surprises, joy, and sadness. You'll remember these unique characters for a long time.

  5. That will attract them.
  6. Good thing I can walk through a cloud of them and they part like the Red Sea.

    Chapter 7

As to the dragon's size, anything is possible. In Sands of Time, dragons can shiftshape.
  8. Unfortunately, I think there is no shortage of those willing to take her place. There are too many perks.

    Chapter 7

Beckett is a little obtuse. This is entirely too sensory to be a dream. The red dragon is cute and he stood up for Beckett. I like him already.
  10. Eroli was the only one of them with a semblance of morality. It's tragic he died and unnecessary. Why didn't Lahari kill them with zero risk? This is just the beginning? Where do they go from here?
  11. You left out mosquitoes.
  12. From the Latin arabilis, fit to be plowed. In use, it distinguishes farmland as opposed to pasture.
  13. So far those who consume the gland only get the trinity of strength, longevity, and near invunerability.
  14. Would this be a parable for arable?

    Chapter 6

Somehow I missed commenting on this chapter.
  16. What do you call a Messiah who is not a Messiah? Nayssiah perhaps? It's ironic Tchama's life ultimately wasn't at risk from the Messiah's attack, but from collateral damage from an unknown Shift.

    Chapter 4 S1

Devin learning the history from his great-grandfather as well as Devin's father hardly aging means the males have great longevity. I know I'm leaping ahead here, but I'm hoping Devin can join the ranks or their life together will be relatively short. At some point Devin's family would had to have moved anyway due to the slow aging.

    Chapter 3 S1

Both boys smotheried their separation anguish with academics though Devin seems to have had fewer issues socializing. Mac's family has really had it hard losing both of his siblings. Even though Mac and Devin's attachment has been so obvious, the gay thing will come as shock to Mac's parents.

    Chapter 2 S1

The two weeks at the cabin were wonderful. The boys bonded even closer, which makes this sudden move much more painful. Mickey will be a wreck.

    Chapter 1 S1

Now I get to binge too. This one pulled me right in. Devin's family have been coming here for many years and mountain lions have a territory. Didn't they know one was around?
  21. The Principle Messiah going sexy seductress wasn't something I was expecting. Was the voice in shower their attacker?
  22. I think you have Lahari in mind. All Ninyani can do is let Tchama have the Mantis gland he got from Bulog. It's an interesting thought about Lahari's power.
  23. Congrats Val!
  24. I had thought Dozi would get Ninyani's Mantis gland, but the attack on Tchama has changed things.
  25. Isn't practically wiping everyone out the way they ended up with a sparsely populated world stuck in Middle Age development?
