  5. Matt, you should have a poll with this thread. Some very interesting patterns might be revealed. It appears to me the majority of yes or no responses here are in the negative. Beyond that, the explanations given indicate that gays have grown to be satisfied with their orientation while bisexuals are having too much fun to change. Am I drawing a valid conclusion? Did everyone else already know that?
  6. I agree. Might as well hire a brass band and sound truck to announce where your son's wedding will be held. A credit card trail is one of the primary means law enforcement uses to track fugitives and validate alibis. Gonzalez would know that and would surely have warned Charles Stiles of the danger in using a credit card to reserve a wedding venue.

  8. No, I would not. I am comfortable with my sexual orientation.
  9. As for the issue of cliffhangers, the goat will never agree that there are any and will argue long and hard if any of us readers uses the word. I propose that we start using another term for the tense endings to which we have grown accustomed. That way everyone avoids the contentious word, the goat will be mollified, and we can use the new term freely. Any suggestions? I will throw out "goat gimmicks" as a possibility.

    Weekly Wrap Up!

Exciting prospects on your medical treatment. I pray all will go well.
  11. Let's remember that Trevor and Shane are going to attend the wedding in Florida, then sail to the first honeymoon location to take Joel and Lisa to another location. So, there are several possible places for Bridget to strike. It would seem that Gitmo would be the least likely.
  12. Very well written, W_ L. Who else would think to compare an internet site with both religion and drone strikes? I wonder if the hard core straight community would be surprised to know that a gay community has standards of conduct.
  13. OK. Thanks, Cia.
  14. I have just finished reading Nowhere Man. What forum will be used for the discussion? What time of day? Looking forward to it.

  17. Hah! Depends on the narrator.
  18. My wife and I were returning to Memphis from Houston on a flight that was scheduled to stop in Shreveport. There was some turbulence approaching Shreveport. We were just seconds from touching down when the plane hit a wind shear and slammed down onto the runway. It was a pretty good jolt. People screamed. Overhead bin doors flew open. Luggage rained down hitting several people in the head. After the airplane rolled onto the taxiway, the captain came on the intercom and apologized for the rough landing. He explained that, when the wind shear hit, we were too low to pull up and go around and it was best to proceed with the landing. I couldn't help but tell my wife, "What he means is that landing was better than none." She did not appreciate my humor. I've never been afraid of flying except helicopters. Hate them, but that's another story.
  19. Benji has a good point. If Bridget can get hold of the tape without its contents becoming public, killing Trevor and Shane serves no practical purpose. It only appeals to her sense of vengeance.
  20. Andy, there's no need to apologize for your success. Everyone here is happy to have one of our own become published in print and e-book formats. Taking care of your family certainly comes first.
  21. Counting chapters now may be like twiddling your thumbs...a waste of time at best.
  22. From the Associated Press: OSLO, Norway (AP) — A road tunnel in northern Norway will be shut for several weeks after a 27-ton truckload of sweet goat's milk cheese caught fire. Regional traffic department chief Geir Joergensen says flames engulfed the tunnel last week and gases from the melting, brown load hindered firefighters. It took four days to put it out. The driver was not hurt and no other vehicles were in the 3.6-kilometer (2.2-mile) tunnel at the time. Joergensen said Wednesday that the tunnel near the small Arctic municipality of Tysfjord, some 1,350 kilometers (840 miles) north of the capital, Oslo, likely will be closed for two more weeks. Goat's milk cheese, a sweet delicacy with a high sugar and fat content, is an essential part of many Norwegians' daily diet. A truckload of brunost cheese, like the kind seen here, recently caught fire in a Norwegian tunnel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbuJbPN3C-Y&feature=player_detailpage Never underestimate the power of goats.

    Gun Nuttery

On Guns A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. Yes, that's 80 million. The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all ages and all groups, is 1,500. C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .0000188.* * All statistics courtesy of FBI. Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners. Remember, 'Guns don't kill people, doctors do.' Not everyone has a gun, but almost everyone has at least one doctor. This means you are over 9,000 times more likely to be killed by a doctor than by a gun owner! Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand! Note: Out of concern for the public at large, I withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention!
