I think it’s a good thing that it all went a little awry . At least Brian is close to Eric’s age and can communicate what he learned about computers from an shared perspective . It’s difficult to settle down and try and learn from the younger more impatient generation . Eric is incredibly brave to have made a connection , then gone to Brian for help instead of just giving up.
The dynamic between Artie/Ky/Dizzy is intriguing. Hoping (in vain probably!) that it doesn’t end in tears! Love the various interactions though... they’re beautifully tentative and human.
There’s a tension in the interactions between each and every person , which seems to go just a little deeper than ; ‘getting to know you’ ! I empathise with Artie, coming from a quiet , repressed backwater to be confronted with in your face energy , emotion and interaction while trying to settle in to the new environment . Adam is becoming quite the enigma .
A rather eclectic group , Artie is introduced to , you can feel the conviction of his upbringing trembling as his horizons expand ! All 3 create a different but favorable impression.
With a Grandparents like that I’d also leap from the frying pan into the fire ... screaming ‘Hallelujah’ the whole way . Adam may seem reluctant but he also seems to have some feelings other than hate. A great introduction.
It’s a good thing Ember is able to drag himself out of the past , even better that he can admit that a great deal of who he has become is due to his inability to move on...... Brady’s ‘new beginning’ seems to triggering an avalanche of them... because Cameron was definately biking over to meet Justin ..
Separation will be painful , but seemingly not indefinite! A political arrangement with Lady Telia would appear to be best , if both parties to the arrangement love somebody different they can more easily persue the primary objective of the arrangement .
Being a perfectionist really is time consuming , but you can’t compartimentalise having a child and/ or a relationship. You just have to manage the fall out , the good , the bad and the ‘ oh my god , wtf am I going to do now!
Blowing up the cave may have been an attempt to keep Fran away from Cheryl , desperate times call for desperate measures , the hunters may just be another unusual set of allies . Until they are certain though Kitryn’s suggestion is best! Precious little survives kittens in full form ....
Gosh ..does Patrick mean Fran when he mentions following the clans newest seer? A huge responsibility for a child no matter how powerful! That was quite a prophecy !
I can’t help but feel that the marriage was not completely happy and weighed heavily towards Alex and his tantrums. I don’t believe Carter is going to do ‘ hysterical’ well!
A superb piece of emotive writing .... pity there isn’t an emoticon for pure rage! There is never a justification for Jeff’s behavior , no mitigating circumstances , not when you put youngsters at risk!
Gosh .. no matter how some people or places , or both just feel like home , when faced with marriage and possibly children right off the bat , would freak me out a little as well . Actually a whole lot!! Christian handled that really well. Sanctuary and it’s calming affects are written so ingeniously as to ensnare the reader . Simply enthralling.
There are a number of mysteries in his homecoming , I wonder why mummy dearest leaves the study untouched , almost shrine- like , when she clearly had high expectations for everything else . All friendships have boundaries , Finn and Sam are still discovering theirs.
