Happy Birthday Comsiemom. I saw Gaga, i'm happy. -
Snowflake's Ski Morning Pancakes Makes about 6 dinner plate sized crêpe pancakes Ingredients ______________ 1/2 cup of white or buckwheat flour 1 tbsp. of ground cardamom powder 1 tbsp. of protein powder (optional) 2 eggs 1 cup of milk and a little extra to thin the pancake batter out if needed Condiments ______________ Lingonberry Preserves Cherry Preserves Strawberry Greek Yogurt or Whipped Cream or both Cinnamon Sprinkles Measure flour, cardamom powder, and protein powder into a mixing bowl. Whisk it all together before adding any liquid. You should do this or the cardamom won't blend into the flour right. Add the two eggs and cup of milk. Whisk this together until you have a batter. The batter should be the consistency of heavy cream. If it is too thick add a little more milk until the mixture is the right texture. If it is too thin add a little bit of flour. Not much though. Heat some butter in a pan on High and put another pan (a bigger one if possible) and put so butter in it too but don't heat it up yet. When the butter in the first pan is melted and hot turn the heat down to Medium and poor in about a 1/2 cup or so of batter to coat the bottom of the pan. While the batter is still liquid you can swirl it a bit to cover the whole bottom of the pan without making the pancake too thick. Cook for about 5 minutes on Medium to Medium low. While the pancake cooks heat the second pan on Medium until the butter in this pan melts and becomes hot. When one side is done of the pancake is done carefully invert the pan with the pancake into the second pan so that the wet side flops down into the pan. Finish the pancake off for about 5 more minutes but watch that it doesn't burn. You can turn an edge of the pancake up every now and then to check the color. When done slip the pancake gently out of the second pan onto a plate. Smear some Lingonberry Preservers onto the pancake and then smear some yogurt or whipped cream over that. Fold the pancake into a nice triangle and then dress with some cherry preserves and the rest of the yogurt or whipped cream. Dust all with a little cinnamon. Have with coffee, or my personal favorite, vodka and cranberry juice! Enjoy and then go burn it off out on the snow! Move that cute little butt before it gets smacked!

Oh lord! Not him too!

I dream. I dream that I am flying. I'm flying so fast and so high! I feel the cold wind rush against my face and as we pass through clouds I feel the wetness on my face and body. My arms are outstretched like wings and yet I am not flying under my own power. My dream has me so that I am gently captured by two impossibly strong arms clasped around my shoulders under my arm pits. Inertia from our speed and the strange pressure of the rushing air beneath me hold my legs out straight

Ooo! Those look so good Clo! I'll have to whip up a batch of Snowflake's Pancakes and take pictures. The are basically crêpes flavored with cardamom.

His Dad should take him on a trip to Hungary for a good beer. Warm stout I can do, but not warm beer!

Twitter/shack Party This Friday!
MrM replied to Comicality's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
I'll contribute, but I'm going out to get drunk first at one of my local gay lounges. So, I can't be responsible for what I post later in the evening. -
Brandon Smiling: From The Billy Chase Chronicles.

April 23 Well, I think the disappearing ship mystery has been solved. Somebody in the Navy said that the lost ships had 'succumbed to terrorist piracy" and had been sunk. I didn't think there were such things as pirates anymore! I thought they'd gone the way of Captain Jack Sparrow and Davey Jones. But, I supposed modern day pirates are easier to believe in than sea monsters. Cedrick still insists it's sea monsters doing it and that the media is just covering it all up with the piracy thingie

I tend to choke on my aspirations: YOU’RE DIRECTOR ORSON KRENNIC!You are manipulative, fierce, and driven to success. Your work is what is most important, and you strive to impress those above you. You will do anything to get to the top and always fight for your side. Actually, I am closer to Darth Vader because I have a deep voice and tend to tell people things like: "I find your lack of faith disturbing."
-
Well, natually I projected those images into your mind because I'm a witch.

Ok, Mikiesboy! You have been one of my steadfast supporters through all of this. I'll start digging into your universe too. I've always loved the way you think so I think going to go 'play' in your world would be a treat. To Cia and all other interested parties: I have been prostelitizing the glory that is GA to my physical network here in 'Sodom'. Hopefully I can repay the GA community by bringing in more readers for our wonderful authors. I'd like to think my physical life work in networking can interface with my cyber life's work so that we can all expand our circles of fans and friends. Someone said that 'Love Grows' and I'm hoping to make the love I've found in my world translate into our community here at GA. A lot of time I've been sacrificing my writing time for is in building this network. If my work as an author can parlay into work as a publicist, I'll feel like I've managed to give back a little of the sea of joy GA has given me over the past two years!

Thank you Headstall. I shall persevere. I limited myself to my three main popular stories so that I could finish them. I find, however that I have to work on one story as I think about the other one. Most of my writing is done in my head and a story chapter has to 'bake' for a while before I can execute it. That's why I like to work on one story while I 'bake' the next layer of another one. That way I can at least have one story's chapter posted while I'm cooking another one up in my head. This keeps my creative energy flowing. Probably, my biggest mistake in all of this is the fact that I got greedy and I wanted the instant gratification of posting a chapter and getting feedback on it before going to the next chapter. I should have pretty much written everything before starting to post it. Especially now when I don't have as much time as I had when I started this. Now I've created an expectation and I am letting my readers down by not being able to produce fast enough. I may have painted myself into a corner. A perfect n00b move. Well, I'll focus on my three best I can and hopefully by the end of all this I'll have a few people still willing to read my stuff. Maybe I should look to the future and future readers will enjoy reading the stories I've written and completed. I'm very new and just starting out and I have a long way to go. Thank you guys for providing a place for me to doodle with words. It is encouraging that you all care enough to 'gather round' and help support the new cub in the den.

Where can I buy a Lori?
-
Oh how I wish that there had been a Lori for me. Tristan is blessed beyond words. Hopefully, he will understand that and take fully what has been given to him so freely. I'm also following the 'real Tristan' on YouTube. Wow, his little life sounds so much like Billy Chase it isn't even funny! He's spooked me a couple of times. I wish his life was more Tristan and less Billy. Ryan deserves better than that. Much love Comsie. Thank you for the wonderful gift of yet another chapter of Jesse-101, your romantic masterpiece!

Thank you every one! It's wonderful to have such sage support! I see an action list for me to do. Cut back # of stories and focus on finishing at least one of them. This was what I was sensing might be a problem so my New Years resolution this year was to cut myself back to my three main stories of interest and finish at least one of them. The others I have put on hold until I can move on them again. I want to finish Snowflake by the end of the year. I'm nearly done with the second act and the thrid has been in production since the start. Hopefully that story being completed will encourage readers to follow that story again. Read and comment on other authors. I admit I have been terribly neglegent on this front. My time has become so limited lately that I find I can either write or read. I wish I could read with more consistency. I will endeavor to do this however. I'll make time. Increase posting frequency. Hopefully by cutting myself down to 3 projects I can increase my posting frequency on projects that have more attention. Write on prompts and anthologies I attempted to do the Fall Anthology in October and actually came up with a short story that some people have said is my most effective having brought some folks to tears (I mean really? ). Unfortunately, I very much need to put a writing team back together so that I can have my 'machine' ready to post in another Anthology. As many well know (especially Val who helped me tremendously on Snowflake) I am a horrible copy editor. I am trying to brush up my skills, but I suffer from Scritpor Myopathy (writer's blindness). I don't catch everything I should to get an Anthology story in without help. So, excuses I know, but I just can't get there from here yet. Patience It is a relief to me to know that this lag syndrome is a common thing and it sounds like a symptom of maturation for writers here. I was afraid that I was just 'losing it' or 'never had it' to begin with. I mean, I like reading what I write, but that's a far cry from getting other's to read what I write. I am fortunate that I have enough readers that are willing to persevere with me. I will continue to write here then and apply the sound advice given here so freely and kindly. My thanks to all of you again for your support. Such support is a commodity of high value and that you give it so freely is testament to your generous hearts.

I've noticed that my readership has fallen off and stagnated on most of my projects. I've also been getting some consistent star downgrades. Those reviews that I do get (thank you so much for them) are genearlly very positive and I do pick up a few followers still, but for the most part my reader stats have been going steadily down. Now, I could blame a story as not being very popular if it doesn't get much attention. I have about three like that and although I will finish them in time I have put them on the 'back burner' for now until I can finish up my somewhat more popular projects. But, now my once popular projects are suffering from this lag. So, generally, along the whole spectrum I get a feeling that my writing style on everything I do is no longer effective at retaining readership. As my question to the community: is this a natural cycle of one's authoring experience here on GA or do I need to rethink and reevaluate my methods? I don't get much constructive input anymore so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated. I love this community and I care deeply about my writing. It's become the most important thing I do in my life, really. Nothing brings more joy or sorrow. Thanks
