  1. Out of the whole collection, the two poems you noted were particular favorites. There is a kind of melancholy air to these. I tried to recall those sunlit pre-pandemic summer days, and with them, a hope for their return. You are so kind with your words, and generous with your talent. Thank you.

    Estampie

Thank you for joining in the dance. It seems like there is no better time than now to enjoy its beauty. I really appreciate your reading these verses.
  3. Alas, every dance must end. It makes me smile to know you have enjoyed these.
  4. You’re very kind in your comments. I’m immensely glad you have enjoyed these dances. As for more poetry, I’m hoping this spring will provide more inspiration.
  5. You’re most welcome. I appreciate your taking time to read these.
  6. I’m glad you found them good enough for that purpose. Thanks again for reading!
  7. You’re very welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed reading these.
  8. Cascarda What I seek the hand of fate denies, so subtle humor and secret smiles that might have beguiled my eyes shine on another, no less estimable man than I, nor worthier, but more fortunate. I don’t know the man whose dream I shared for one brief hour in the summer night; I woke at dawn unable to recall his name, yet I swear my fingers knew his skin, and my tongue still savored his sal

    Barren Landscape

And new green shoots green the landscape, challenging us to remember when it was otherwise. I really liked the images you evoke here.
  10. Jake endures his isolation while Nic appears not to care about his own social quarantine. Nic intrigues me because I wonder more and more if it’s even possible for him to allow some kind of connection with Jake that goes beyond convenient sex. In a way, it’s Jake who seems more comfortable and confident, and less vulnerable. Great chapter.
  11. Yevgeny may still be playing the long game, a very deep game, biding his time and counting on CJ rising in the political world. Or maybe the man is just going to enjoy Idaho. Not sure how much information was divulged on that flight, but let us hope Spike and his colleagues find it useful.

    Carpe Diem

I really like how you steer this poem between joy and pain, celebration and sorrow. Somehow, I’m minded of Sylla and Charybdis.

I really appreciate your thoughts. I hesitated a long time before posting this. I’m grateful you chose to read it and I hope there might be a tomorrow. Thanks again.

@AC Benus: Thank you for highlighting what might be the central strophe to this entire set. It is in our design that we are made good; and in our connection that we perfect the vision of our designer.
  17. Estampie I don’t mind you speaking the blunt truth, so whisper me of your heart’s desire; tell me how you want me, as my want mirrors yours, as the lock longs for its one true key, equal in yearning for your entry. Build in us oneness from our pieces, lay us down connected, tongue in groove, the time for imagining and framing all past; for now is the moment of fusion, and the fullness of the desig

You’re more than kind in your comments. It’s wonderful that you can see and sense the dance between lovers described here. I’m very grateful you read this and thought it good.

    Twenty-Eight

Liam has had several good things happen to him; Britney has departed, Aiden listens to him, TJ and Chrissy have behaved like solid friends, and Mark has come for a visit. Liam might have some chance of hope. You have built Liam (and us) up - what might happen to precipitate his fall again into fear and isolation? I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

    Désespoir

I cannot help but echo the feelings I encountered in this.

    Changes

Like Eric, Andy had me sold at “cake.” I liked listening to Andy, Rob and Eric talk things through, sometimes directly, sometimes in roundabout fashion, but always caring about one another.
  22. Well, if Northman wasn’t livid and seething before, he is now. And now the Russians will be coming after CJ too! This operation sounds like it could turn out yo be uglier than Spike is making out. I’m with Ozzie: CJ needs to be very, very careful.
  23. Thanks very much for sharing this with us. It’s delightful.

    Chapter 10

And so Ackerman and Kevin share one another’s pain, one another’s stories, and maybe just a hint of possibility. Maybe Kevin will find a way forward, and he’ll have Aaron to thank for it. And if that comes, then he won’t be all against the world anymore. Great chapter.

I’m glad you enjoyed this, and thank you for your nouns. I think each of them fits wonderfully. Thank you for continuing to read these.
