I like the way you've written this so it's like Ian and Patrick are talking to us, telling a story. Like with Web and Beau, I enjoy seeing William's Love from a different point of view. Thanks.

Dammit! These characters always get around to making me weepy. I got something in my eye during the retelling of Patrick's rescue... Can't get enough of Will and Liam and their extended family. It was fun to read about them from Beau's and Seb's perspective, and to learn more about Beau and Seb. I look forward to the same with Ian (and Patrick). Thanks!

So now the story will split in to two parallel adventures? In spite of some difficult parts, this is a good story. I like your writing style, and I think you handled the battle, killing, and rape in a way that wasn't too hard to read. All those things are real for the times and part of the forward progress of the story.

I agree with pvtguy. It was a balanced story in terms of the gun issue. I hope it doesn't get old when I say, once again, how much I enjoy these characters! Don't tell Lucas, but this was especially fun because I have a soft spot in my heart for Joel. Love the gentle giant types. I really enjoyed the way he interacted with Mason and Brianna. Your dialogue always sounds so real. Thanks for this story, and anytime you're ready to post another story, I'll be around to read it.

I'm not certain what the gamble is. I thought chapter one was interesting. I know little to nothing about Jewish politics at this time. Your footnotes were helpful. You have a good start and interesting characters. I look forward to seeing how this story develops. Thanks. Jeff

Will on a mission is an amazing thing to see! I hope when Liam gets home Will spills his guts and doesn't try to make light of recent events (or not tell at all). Will and Liam are usually honest with each other, but can have issues when one or the other is not forthcoming.

I am not deeply religious at this point in my life. Growing up in a family that went to church, I know just enough to be dangerous. I am intrigued with the "lost years" in Jesus's life and can't wait to see how you weave the story of these brothers in to it. I am also curious about your statement that this is not a religious story. I am looking forward to reading more.

When you have no family, or a dysfunctional one, you need to create your own family. Thank goodness the boys are creating one, and Dr. Price is encouraging it.

Anyone who has loved an animal knows what Will is going through. I felt you handled a tough subject with a gentle hand. I thought the conversation between Will and Stephen was interesting. Maybe he is another soul that can be "saved" by love and care from Will's extended family. I was really surprised by Derek's reaction to Will's idea. I would have said he knew Will well enough to know he was sincere. It's time for Will to catch a break. As I like to say, thanks again for more good story. Jeff

Excellent writing in the scene between Ryder and Wilder at the end. I like that Ryder remembers how scared he was when he first joined the family, and that he is willing to comfort Wilder.

I like the zodiac format you're using. I also like your new character, Jeb. I hope at some point you will name your main character. I also hope Dr. Price can get him sorted enough to move out of the center and into a good foster home. I think it would make it easier for him to acclimate to "modern" society. Thanks.
