    Chapter 2

Not many clues here. Just a house that appears to be able to decide who it wants to live in it. But with possibly a relation of Francis Ford sitting atop the house and Geron writing, anything is possible...

    Chapter 1

Now the only Norwich I know is associated with mustard... which sort of leads me to thinking of Colonel Mustard in the drawing room with the lead pipe? Am I getting warm?
  3. Oh No! Surely Boone's not going to be attacked by a grizzly in the next chapter.🐻🙂
  4. How am I feeling? Almost lost for words to express my thoughts is the quick answer. You sure created the mother and father of all storms there! But, let's not be coy about it - you can't have a story without Boone.🙂

Poor Rick isn't hen pecked - his pecking comes from the other side of the sexual divide.🐓
  6. Larkspur sounds enticing; certainly has to be better than a shack in a soon to be dustbowl. Hopefully Coy will come to that conclusion.

    Chapter 2

@Cewright Thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed the story. There does seem to be a wish to know 'what happens next' and while I'm not making any promises, I will think about it.

    Chapter 1

Ah, the joys of an idyllic childhood in those pre-paranoia times.🙂 Now the kids are probably too hooked on their cell phone and Facebook friends to bother with real ones.

    Chapter 2

Thanks for the comments above. Good to know you enjoyed the story. I'm sorry to say @weinerdog that there isn't going to be another chapter, so you'll have to imagine how they get on.

    Chapter 2

The next day dawned bright and sunny, so after breakfast which was good and plenty of it, before which Mark and I had showered again, he and I headed down to the lake. Once we'd proved to the counsellor we could swim we were allowed to take out two of the canoes and spent most of the morning going round the lake in those. I was surprised that I managed without capsizing more than once – we'd been shown what to do in a capsize situation before we left the dock. When we got back we had time for a
  11. It's making a very enjoyable change to read a story that is so different. Looking forward to next Monday already. 🙂🔫

Thanks @Wollter. Glad you enjoyed it.

    Chapter 1

Thanks, Geron. It does seem as if summer camps were almost a rite of passage.

    Chapter 1

Appreciate the positive comments Bard. I do try to make my stories plausible so glad to know you consider I succeeded.

    Chapter 1

Meanwhile, thanks to @chris191070 @mfa607 @mikedup and @CLJobe for your comments. Hope I can maintain your interest.

    Chapter 1

Appreciate the comment @weinerdog. I was much more of an Adam type, mainly because of poor eyesight, although that didn't stop me from reading voraciously...

    Chapter 1

Thanks, Gary. Glad you enjoyed. We Brits don't do summer camps as in North America. Nearest I got was a couple while in the school cadet force! Not the same thing by a long chalk - and definitely shows my age. 🙂

    Chapter 1

Summer Camp Probably I was very lucky as a child growing up because my parents tended to rather spoil me. I suspect now that was due to me arriving several years after both of my brothers. Tom was twelve and Alan was eleven when I was born, which was quite a difference. I'm sure both of them loved me, but in many ways I existed in a different world to them. They also got on very well together, no sibling rivalry there. They were in different grades at school which probably made li
  20. Adam is 14 years old. He isn't sports oriented but happy in his own company. He thus gets a shock when his parents decided how he should spend part of his summer vacation.
  21. A fast paced story to match the quiz with some excellent characterisation. One could feel the tension mounting as the rounds went by. And the 'woman in black' was excellently portrayed with some great cutting comments.

  22. Yep, Casey got what she deserved - nothing. I don't know about the green room, but when she finds out what she missed I reckon she'll be green with envy. 🙂

The tension mounts. And that was hard cheese for Grace. 🧀🙂
