  1. The characters we already love, plus new characters who quickly become endearing to you. Veil of Shadows is an excellent follow-up book to Hidden Sunshine.

    Suicide

Good days, and Bad days. I know all about them. It's another poem of your's Tim I feel you're taking straight from my soul or mind. Excellent work.
  3. This story has everything a good SciFi needed. It also has a great Romance feature to it as well. Excellently written, and captivating. The characters come alive, and you feel a connection to them. I highly recommend it. Five Stars.

    i remember you

Thank you, Tim. I lost two people I used to work with at the Pulse shooting. This was a great poem for them.
  5. Thank you, @Cia. That is very valuable information and a lot more work than I realized.
  6. They have a nice conversation in chapter seven.
  7. In my universe, it is. The reasoning was 1. It's tradition, and 2. it cuts through all manner of "honorifics" that could possibly be used. Like Pronouns for different genders under Identity Politics.

    Do It

Your poems have a way of speaking to my soul, Tim. Thank you for sharing this with us.
  9. With self-publication become more popular, it seems to me that anyone can become a writer, and put a book out. I know at my current skill level I am by no means at a place to even entertain such an idea. However, from some stories I've read some Authors have overestimated their skills. I've recently have read a few Amazon Kindle eBooks, that have been less than stellar. While fun and light-hearted some have been, they've been really low quality. (Which is why I think they were free.) For those that have Self-Published, how do you go about standing out in a vast crowd of eBooks? Have you thought about going small press, and use companies like Dreamspinner Press? I hope to one day be good enough, for publication on a more professional level, but I'm happy being an amateur right now.
  10. I temporarily took down the Aeris Photo Album. A Couple of the pictures were over the new guidelines, and I needed to go back through them.

    A New Life

Thank JP. I have plans for them, and a few more Real Life events to put into them. So it's not all fiction.

    A New Life

Thank you for reading. It's partially inspired by Real Life events, so there will be more.

    A New Life

Thanks, Drewbear. I'm glad you liked it!
  15. This was fantastic. You could feel the loneliness of the Cook's Mate, and nervousness that comes from being so close to death. That feeling of wanting to be held. (Which I've been experiencing a lot lately.) Perfect in my opinion Tim. Great job.

    Excellent! What song was it?
  17. I found it very enjoyable.
  18. I sometimes wonder what aliens from outer space would think of us. Loved this short hun.

    The Poet

I sometimes feel my little comments pale in comparison to the work, I just read. This is one such time. It was an excellent story, uplifting, and you made me feel like I was sitting with Hugh and Even while they talked. Excellent work Tim.
  20. It was Saturday, December 2, 2017, and Chandon Bolton was being ambushed by his mother. "I have a simple question. Who the hell is asleep in your bed?" Jill Bolton asked as Chandon walked out of the hallway half-bathroom and headed for the kitchen. She looked sternly at him, demanding an answer. “Mom, that’s my boyfriend Brayon, you’ve met him before… He came out to his parents last night, and they kicked him out. He called me from the IHOP on Dale Mabry needing a place to crash. I tried
  21. Sixteen-year-old Brayon came out to his Progressive parents, but they did the one thing he didn't expect. They disowned him and kicked him out. This is his story.

    Musings

Wow, Tim, you've got me busting stitches over here. Loved it!
  24. granted - but you left it on the line, and a flock of birds flew by. Gonna need to rewash them. I wish I had a new muse.
