  1. Caleb walked into the office and looked around at the bright cheerful décor. He was still fuming from where his Mother had set him up with a Matchmaker. However, he wanted to make her happy, so he decided to humor her. His first visit with the Matchmaker, Linda Styles, was at his condo off of Bayshore Blvd., three weeks ago. They sat on the balcony sipping coffee while looking out over Tampa Bay, and Downtown Tampa. She had him fill out the forms, and answer questions on what he was attracted to
  2. Thank you. I do agree with the time travel and author's intentions, as I've been stumped a few times when reading stories with this element. Zirsi will be pointing out soon, that "Magic is powerful, but even it has it has limits. We can send non-living simple items back in time, at a steep cost. We can scry the past, and see events on how they unfold. Even Psychics can do that. But, even with our Technological, and Magical Knowledge, the Thorian Empire, and our allies, have never been able to send back in time a living person or a sophisticated machine. Something is blocking it, and we do not know who or what that is." So, the future four had a 'one shot' of sending something back. If they acted in the past on the information given, it locked one timeline, from interfering with the new timeline. Zirsi did that when he went to Gilese and shared the information with the Humans.
  3. You're welcome!
  4. New Installment posted. Let me know what you think.
  5. Aeris was running late. Walking into his quarters after having a nice lunch with Jules, he sighs contently. They were a month into the voyage back to the Sol System to report on the happenings in the Gilese system, or as the crew of the Prometheus have dubbed it, the ‘Battle of Gilese Prime.’ He had just stripped out of his uniform and was putting on his jockstrap and workout shorts when the door chime rang. “Come in,” Aeris said. The computer immediately opened the door, while playing the
  6. I second guess myself all the time. Then I give it to my Betas and ask them to review it and tell me what they think. Based on their responses, is whether I rewrite sections, lines, or the entire installment. The only time, I've really had a conflict, was with my last two major story chapters, and ended up rewriting them a total of 12 times. Finally settled on a new tack on them, instead of the original version.
  7. My favorite genres are SciFi and Fantasy. I started writing Aeris - Guardian Force, with the intent of doing a SciFi Space Opera. Though I sometimes feel, like I created, and committed a cardinal sin, with the first chapter being mostly a primer of the era the story is in. Right there, BAM! An info dump of what the world is like. I've noticed that some of my favorite authors in the SciFi genre have done similar approaches, but mostly they start off in some sort of scene then info dump in pieces. The setting is critical in these genres. Not only the scene itself but the overarching world as well. I once wrote a paper on the setting of Dragonlance, a campaign world of AD&D 2nd ED, and the foundation of a major Book line from the same company. You could read the first trilogy which talked about the War of the Lance, without the knowledge of Steel is more valuable than Gold, or that Drow Elves do not exist in that world. Dark Elves are normal Elves that were cast out. But, when you read the Primer of the world, it enhanced the overall experience of the setting.
  8. Granted - You buy a new one that turns out to be worse than the broken one. I wish I had a Million Bucks.
  9. Granted - You're now locked inside. I wish my Prince will come.
  10. Granted - You went outside, and was locked out of the house. In Fact, you can no longer go inside any building. I wish I could think of something, that's not recycling an earlier wish.
  11. Granted - You've become OCD over cleanliness, and rush to clean every crumb. I wish I had some Ice Cream.
  12. Granted - It just becomes reruns of last years program. I wish I had something fun to do.
  13. EST in the US is UTC -5(4 in in Daylight Savings). So, find your UTC, Add 5 or 4 to it, and add that to 4:00 am. This should be correct.
  14. Should only take 2, or 10 shots.
  15. I wonder what it would taste like, if you mixed Maple Whiskey with Fireball Whiskey?
  16. Never heard of Maple Whiskey either, but Fireball Whiskey is awesome. The cinnamon flavor mixes great with Mountain Dew, or Pepsi. (Which is why I like the new Pepsi Fire.)

    Coming Out

Another excellent poem, Tim. I think it captures the essence of coming out that a lot feel.
  18. Granted - You get Cold Flashes instead. I wish I didn't sleep all day.
  19. That recipe does look good. The Sam's Club premade one was really good. I was totally shocked it was store bought. A good alternative, I guess, seeing as it was feeding 16 people.
  20. I'll take 4 of him please!
  21. Currently reading The Magicians Series by Lev Grossman. The SyFy Series got me interested in it, and there is some major differences between the book, and the TV show.
