  1. If you've ever thought about being transported back to the Old West, then this is the book for you. We're introduced to Jubal and Lucas after Jubal has fallen prey to some outlaws. Both men have a secret that neither one knows about, but they discover their commonality after an ambush. @Headstall (Gary) is a master at descriptive and highly detailed storytelling that makes the reader feel as if they have been placed right into the middle of the scenes as they play out. Set aside a weekend to binge this story.

    Chapter 25 Caught

This has been an amazing journey that you've taken us on over the past 6 months, Gary. Thank you for sharing your vision and talent with us. I will miss Bearpaw Monday's, but I'm content knowing that Jubal and Lucas are set up and prospering. They'll be fine as long as that mercantile keeps their Mexican olive oil in stock. 🤣 It was pretty amazing of Billy's father having that talk with Reid. You left their story with just enough of a peep into what was going to happen. That's not saying that there are any of us who would object to a more thorough exploration into Reid and Billy sometime in the VERY NEAR future. 😉😉 Reidout Fridays has a nice ring to it, but so does Sheriff Saturdays. LOL Until we meet again on your next story,

    An Actor Is Born

Stef needs to jump into some narration too. He's been relegated to the sidelines for far too long.
  4. Looks like Jubal has found his voice, and broken out of his reserved nature. And quite the sassy voice if I do say so. Or is this the first ever Cowboy Clap Back? LOL. I'm glad that Jubal has gotten comfortable with Reid. I got the snickers at Jubal trying to play matchmaker and bring up the obvious about Reid and Billy. Are we taking bets on if Jubal is going to help Reid build his cabin on his new land? You made my Monday, Gary!
  5. They did not. I didn't factor dismemberment into the plot line. This is definitely a different path for you Laura, and I'm here for it! I can now see why Hudson was so intent on protecting Otis and keeping him away from Jackie. Can't wait for the next chapter.

    Chapter 104

Assuming that Zach is actually telling the truth, then maybe. On the other hand it wouldn't be the first time a murder suspect told a lie

    Chapter 104

There's only one problem with the Curtis committing suicide plan... Why would Curtis have used Taylor's gun to commit suicide when his own gun was right there in his desk drawer? The cops may be stupid, but they're not that stupid. Happy New Year to you as well Mark!
  8. Happy New Year Gary! So now we know exactly what happened to Jubal. It was more horrific than I imagined. No wonder why he's so guarded in the presence of people, especially "church" folks. I'm glad that Lucas told his story first and put Jubal at ease. Now that they've confessed how they feel about each other, they can hopefully move forward with building a relationship and their lives.

    Chapter 103

Well there goes my theory about Zach being the killer. Or is Zach a big liar and setting someone else up to be the scapegoat? If he sets up Taylor, he can extricate himself from the whole Buck mess once and for all. That would be peak @Mark Arbour plot twist. 🤔 We'll just have to wait and see. Happy New Year Mark and everyone!
  10. You've brought Lucas home. Maybe now that they are back at the farm, things can move forward for them both. Merry Christmas, Gary, and thank you for the early gift.
  11. They already knew. Travis dropped that bombshell at the party right after he played the tape of Curtis raping Sierra Gardner. Given that the party was held at the Beverly Hills Hotel, it's a safe bet that most of southern California knows.
  12. I'm sticking with my original idea that Zach did it because Curtis threatened to out him and ruin his future football career. Miranda wouldn't really have anything to gain by killing him, nor would Big.

    Epilog

First! LOL Bravo! So very well done Laura. You sent us off on a completely different journey with this story and it was so worth following along for the trip. It's not easy doing an offshoot from a prior story, but you handled it perfectly. Thanks so much for sharing this with all of us.
  14. Mercury is in retrograde, so blame it on that. Lol
  15. Um... Was Zach's name written in invisible ink on the list? LOL. Thanks @Gary L for having my back!

    Chapter 101

It was Zach. He went back to try and convince Taylor to leave Curtis and he ran into Curtis. Curtis threatened to out him and ruin his football career. Or maybe it was Brad. He did beat the tar out of Neil over Robbie. Or maybe it was... Heck, there's only one who know for sure. Ain't that right Mr. Arbour? LOL
  17. This entire list is a big red herring. It was Zach.

    Chapter 100

Too reminiscent of Brad vs. Neil in Paris. Has anyone in the series met their death by being shoved through a plate glass window in a high rise or deliberately run over by a car? I can't remember...

    Chapter 100

We're all adults here. Go ahead and spill it. It's not like we don't know what the duck beak means.

    Chapter 100

Travis came out swinging from the beginning. He has totally redefined his relationship with Big and set boundaries on how he expects Big to act in the future. There is a lot more to this boy than meets the eye. He's a deep thinker and highly analytical. No wonder he gets along so well with J.P. I very much like this new side of Travis. I think he's exactly what can keep Will interested for the long term. Congratulations on 100 chapters @Mark Arbour!
  22. If he hasn't been nominated before, someone needs to find a character for Omar Sharif Jr.
  23. That's great news! I know that you're glad to be home finally. I'm sure that being in your own space is going to help with your recovery. Thanks so much for sharing your family favorite casserole. I think that the claim that this is 20 servings is wildly optimistic. I've seen how people eat at these holiday pot lucks and it's brutal. 🤣

    Chapter 99

Big is the unknown variable in Curtis' future or lack thereof. He's found out that his father is a rapist, is having an incestuous relationship with his sister, and blown the family fortune. I can see him snapping.
