    Just Desserts

It left me feeling hungry. Nice to see you posting poems. I'm looking forward to more.
  2. I love April 20 - a very meaningful, rhyming skyscraper - it must have been a bit of a challenge.
  3. Not sure how well I'll do, but I have some questions. I was going to PM @Valkyrie , but I know some others are new to this too and might be interested in the answers. Is there a central location for posting the April poems (like somewhere in the poetry club), or do most post them as a "story" of some kind? I think I saw where someone did it that way and posted a "chapter" a week. Do the experienced have some guidance for those of us who might tackle this for the first time?

    Bad Company

A fascinating glimpse into an untold past and an untold future where "now" is everything. An intriguing story, for sure.

    Higher 13

Interesting thought. If he did show up, he could probably still be kept in the dark about the lycan world, but it raises another point. I've been wondering how long he'll be kept in the dark, and how the whole Randy/Trevor thing will evolve. For them to become mates would be a fascinating part of the whole lycan story. And though it's in my inbox, no, I haven't read the next chapter yet. But I soon will. 😈

    Chap 1

That "knowledge not generally available to outsiders" has a name. It's called, "truth". And no one is more smug than one who has sole proprietorship of the "truth".
  7. Backwoods Boy

    Chap 1

I was going to comment on this earlier. It sounds to me like the polygamist LDS offshoot in southern Utah. However, there have also been some strange independent groups in Oregon from time to time, though I'm not up on the details of their practices.
  8. Backwoods Boy

    Chap 1

Gabriel and Adam are learning a fundamental "truth": Everything fun is sinful. Or, to paraphrase a recollected "nursery rhyme": If you're happy and you know it, say Amen it's a sin! Unless, of course, one enjoys giving or watching the punishment. God forgives such minor transgressions.
  9. In which case, whether it was romantic or gross would perhaps depend on whether it was still in the wrapper.🤔
  10. PT# 125 is definitely, umm... inspiring. It opens up so many possibilities. But romance and gross needs to be defined, I mean, the first thing that came to my mind fits both categories. And there are so many potential levels of grossity.

    Chapter 5

In the words of a songwriter of an earlier era: "When correctly viewed, everything is lewd. I could tell you things about Peter Pan, And the Wizard of Oz was a dirty old man." Seriously, I somehow suspect it was all quite intentional.
  12. Backwoods Boy

    Chapter 5

    Perfect.
  13. Backwoods Boy

    Chapter 4

I love Mrs. Zimmerman. And if laughter is the best medicine, I got my quota for the day covered.
  14. Backwoods Boy

    Chapter 3

It's great when those who get support from their friends can give back
  15. Backwoods Boy

    Chapter 2

You create some interesting characters, but in the subset that are citizens of earth, Mrs. Hinkie gets top honors. One-of-a-kind, for sure.
  16. Backwoods Boy

    Chapter 1

I loved this chapter. The three characters we met are very real, distinct individuals. Similarly, the love and the angst were both very real - and the resolution isn't easy - all the insecurity and unpredictability. Sex isn't just jump in bed and have fun, particularly at that age. I'm looking forward to more (using @weinerdog's "in progress" cue to encourage my expectations)
  17. Backwoods Boy

    Chapter 1

That was a fun story. A girl who is an understanding and helpful friend was excellent.
  18. Historical vs. Modern applications
  19. So, how about a fundraiser for Humans With Alopecia? I could use a transplant from a pony, if available. @Myr, you might want to add @drpaladin's word to your word of the day list Oops, I see it was already here on Thu May 13, 2021.
  20. I would titillate with my hair if I had any to titivate
  21. Favorite story this week:
  22. With respect to playing games with the clock...

    Ode to Sunday

Since you "can't do poems" (which I don't believe) I'm sorely tempted to steal your title for a poem, with appropriate attribution, of course. Wait... first I have to figure out what an "ode" is... Happy Sunday
  24. Sounds like a book about a rare medical condition.
  25. Backwoods Boy

    Chapter 1

The setting seemed familiar, and the story was delightful
